Devika's POV

I walked slowly yet steadily towards the door and opened it up with a swift swing. 

Soon after this, I was embraced into a hug as the man said,

"Why did you leave the venue so suddenly, Devika?" 

RJ...

I tried getting away from him but his grip was strong enough to stop me from moving in my place. 

"I am sorry..." He said diving his face into my neck inhaling my scent and pecking at the core of it.

"Leave me !" I cried pushing him back but still this man here didn't budge a bit and stood in his place like a wall.

"No... I won't repeat my mistake of pushing you away from me this time." He whispered to which I rolled my eyes and cursed him lowly.

Dekho to zara... Meri jagah pe uss pagal ladki ko bitha diya isne. Upar se mujhe chor bhi kaha. Ab ye aakar magarmach k aasun baha raha hai and isko umeed hai main isse maaf kar dungi? Bekaar... Bakwaas... Mar jaaye ye kisi kue main kud kar!

(Just look at him... He made that girl sit in my place and on top of that, he did call me a third also. Now he has came back shedding the crocodile tears and still he believes that I am gonna forgive him? Cheap... Rubbish... May he die by jumping into a well!)

Realizing that this man has got no plan of letting me go, I stepped over his feet and crushed it nicely with my heels. He winced out of pain and left me easily. I huffed and tried to close the door on his face but this man was quick enough to recover of my little stunt and pushed me back into the room closing the door behind him with a dashing sound. 

He rolled up his sleeves and walked like a predator towards me. I ignored him and went back to my work of packing my bags. He examined the room with his eyes and finally his eyes landed up on my suitcase.

"Pack them... I will drop you back to your apartment. " He said out of nowhere.

I stopped my work and gave him a disgusted look.

"Which apartment?" I asked raising my eyebrows at him.

"The one which I had given you." He muttered lowly looking at my hands. I let out a sarcastic laugh and said,

"Oh yeah! The very same apartment from where I was thrown out after you fired me."

"I... I am sorry Devika. It was all a misunderstanding that was created just because I had seen you with my rival. Please try to understand my situation." He reasoned out.

I stopped my work once again and took a deep breath. I looked at him straight on his face and said,

" Of course, RJ. I do understand your situation. You were right in suspecting me. But then you could have given me a chance to explain my actions and situation to you. But no... You just continued to humiliate in front of the entire staff. How do you even think will I be able to face them again? "

"That won't be a problem Devika. I will explain and clear everything about you to all the staff members. I promise that no one will say anything to you. As of my actions, I have already said sorry for the same and once again I am saying sorry to you." He said placing his arms over my shoulders.

Tears started rolling down my eyes hearing his words. 

It's so easy for him to say na. After hurting me so badly with his words, he's here now asking me to come to him. Like really?

"So what? No one will say anything to me on my face but they will surely say that RJ has given me my job back just because I have spent a night with him. This is what you have to your as well as my image." I said poking my finger into his chest still looking at him with my blurry vision.

"They... They won't." He muttered lowly showcasing his confusion as well over this topic.

"You... Yourself are not sure. Go away! I am done with you as well as with your company too." I said shrugging his hands off my shoulders and taking two steps away from him.

"Take your time, Devika. Rejoin the office whensoever you want. There is no pressure on you from my side. But please, return back to the apartment. Where will you go now?" He asked taking a step towards me. 

His eyes held an intense emotion while his voice was desperate. His frame looked strong but his face looked vulnerable.

"Madurai..." I replied looking at the floor which appeared to be more interesting to me for the time being.

"What? You are leaving this city only." He asked in shock and I looked at him in shock at this.

Why does he care? Mar b jaun main to isse kya? 

(Even if I die, why should he care?)

"Yes, I am. This place is not my home. I am returning back to my place." I said and returned back to my packing thing.

"But what will you do in that burnt house all alone?" He asked shrugging his shoulders and taking me into surprise with his words.

Burnt?

Oh yes! I had lied to him before. I had lied that my house had got burnt burning all my documents and other stuff.

"Well... The people there love me and I am quite sure that they would love to support me there.As of you, you hate me already. You had given me this job half heartedly. So yeah, its good that I am going away. You stay happy please..." I muttered lowly.

"And who the fuck said that I am gonna be happy with your departure?" He asked in a raised tone this time managing to grab my entire attention once again successfully.

"Isn't that obvious?" I asked raising an eyebrow at his words.

"Of course not... I... I want you Devika." He said in a shuttering voice looking directly into my eyes.

"Exactly. You just want to fuck me and have a passionate night with me. That's all. For this only, you are offering me back my job so that you can show up whensoever you want and force me to spend the night with you." I said.

"No... Like, I don't know. It's just that I am not able to digest the idea of you leaving me like this. It's revolting as well as scary." He replied to which I nodded my head in sarcasm.

"Well, I am leaving and that's final." I said and started closing my bag. 

But this maniac here instantly pushed me aside and started throwing my stuff out of the suitcase all across the room. I looked at him in shock and that's when I heard him saying,

"You are not leaving me!" 

I stood frozen at my place like a statue glancing over my messed up clothes all across the room. I diverted my eyes back to this man here and found him giving me a side crooked smile as if he has achieved a trophy with this. 

Well, this was enough to infuriate me. I stood up on my toes and held his collar in anger.

"What on Earth is wrong with you, RJ?" I cried. 

That's when the doors of the room opened up showing the manager.

"Ma'am, what's wrong? We have been hearing some sort screaming voices from this room." He said eyeing at RJ.

"I don't know this man. He has barged into my room suddenly and is currently shouting at me for nothing." I lied wiping my tears with my hand.

I turned around making my back face to RJ and started collecting my stuff which this man had scattered all over the floor.

"Sir, please come outside. We have to escort you out now." I heard the manager speaking from behind my back.

I bit my lower chin to stop this absurd feeling rising up in my belly and continued folding my clothes. 

 "And do you even know of who am I?" RJ asked possibly pushing the manager away from him but I didn't even dare to look at him after all this.

"Sir, please leave or else we would have to call the security now." The manager threatened him. 

"I am leaving you for now Devika. But I will be back soon." RJ stated and this was finally followed by a step of departing footsteps.

I sighed and turned out. There he was gone...

Few Hours Later

Kodaikanal

Devika's POV

I cleaned my cottage nicely getting rid of every spider webs and other dust particles here. I sighed and looked outside. It was getting dark now and here I was sitting on the staircase. None of the lights were working. 

Tomorrow, I will first go to pay the electricity bill and after that only I will look forward to other things. 

I lighted up a candle and sat on my bed. 

It really feels like home even though I don't happen to remember anything of this place. Taking my diary out of my bag, I smiled and shuffled through the pages. 

It's gonna be good to read my story here in the place where it had started.

I opened up the page from where I had left and here it was...

Hyderabad

Vijay's mansion

Ishani's POV

The car entered the main gate of this unknown mansion campus here. The bodyguards were carrying guns and they all were standing in a line from the main gate to the mansion's main entrance I guess. Where ever my gaze could follow, I was only able to see the bodyguards here.

A sudden wave of emotions passed through my heart as I felt quite awkward here. Everything is different here.

Where are we ? This isn't the place where I had came the last time.

I looked at Vijay in fear as I found him smiling outside looking at the bodyguards. The car soon came to a halt breaking my trail of thoughts here.

" Let's go ! " Vijay exclaimed looking at me.

" Where are we Vijay ? This isn't your house as much as I remember last. Also the bodyguards... " I asked him being all afraid here now.

" Love... Don't get afraid. " Vijay muttered leaning closer as he kissed my forehead the next.

" This is also my mansion. The previous mansion which you had seen last is closer to my office. I stay there at times when I get all tired to travel back to this place here. Tanvi too joins me there at times when she gets bored without me here. But this mansion... is our main base. We stay here mainly. I am sorry... I should have informed you for the same I guess. I don't know how did it even slip out of my mind here now.

As of the bodyguards, they are my bodyguards who guard my properties which are there in all over India. They couldn't attend our wedding. That's why I called them here for our reception which will take place here in Hyderabad. They are a family Ishu. You don't have to be afraid of them. " Vijay explained to me as I held his hand tightly out of fear for sure.

All this is so new for me for sure. Maybe this is how the rich people indeed live their lives surrounded with bodyguards and all.

" I am afraid... Afraid to face them like this. " I confessed earning a squeeze on my hand from Vijay. He gave me an assuring smile and said,

" Come out... Things and place maybe different doll. But always see this hand of mine. It's the same hand which you had held on our wedding day. It's gonna be the same no matter how different the things turn out to be here. Let's face this together. " He said. I nodded at him and finally came out.

Everyone was looking at us in awe. Their faces were blank and they appeared to be quite terryfing to me. No doubt why Vijay has selected them to be his bodyguards here !

" And she is my life and your queen ! " Vijay announced after which everyone else started clapping their hands looking at us and some were hooting at the same time.

I gave them a low smile and turned around once again to look at Vijay. He was smiling widely looking at his men and soon realised my gaze upon him I guess. He turned a bit and kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes at this and just wanted the time to stop here itself.

And with this... A new journey of mine begins. Till now I was Ishani Ahuja. From now on, it will be the beginning of the story of Vijay's Ishani. Many things will change after this I know. But then I have no fear of that till the time this man here holds my hand like this. He won't allow any such danger or trouble to lurk around me in his presence I know. There's no such thing or no one here who can hurt me except this man himself. He's already dangerous for my heart and I am already afraid of losing myself in him !

I held Vijay's hand tightly and gave them all a smile. I was stranger to them as they were to me. The common link connecting us all was Vijay. Vijay smiled and led us both to the inside of his house where Tanvi was already standing at the door with sacred thali in her hand ready to do our welcoming puja.

I smiled at her and she winked at me. Vijay was roaming his finger over the back of my palm sending tingling sensations down my skin.

"Bhai... Give me my money and I will let you in." Tanvi demanded Vijay whose forehead was already carrying the tension lines by now.

My mouth opened up in a swift giving out a crooked smile. I turned my face a bit and smirked looking at Vijay. 

Time to empty your wallets hubby!

If and only if I had a sister like Tanvi then she would have surely stolen Vijay's shoes robbing him off his fortunes. But if there's no one as such from my side then surely Tanvi can take up that role and do the honors. 

Vijay gave a bored look to my budding smile and turned his emotionless face towards Tanvi.

"Isn't the ritual supposed to be done when one enters his bedroom?" Vijay asked amusingly to Tanvi.

This guy... 

His emotions and expressions do change up within a minute only. Till now, he was carrying an emotionless face and now his face does look amused. 

"Well, this door does lead you to your bedroom and Ishani Bhabhi, Bhai. I don't trust you... You will send your men to distract me and get into your bedroom then. This is the perfect place and time. Maybe you can this mansion from any of the doors out here. But Bhabhi who is the bride here is bound to enter the place from the main door itself. If you don't pay me up now then I won't let Bhabhi also to enter the place." Tanvi replied in a firm tone.

 I looked at Tanvi in shock. 

Does this mean that she's gonna stop me from entering my place? If yes then how will I celebrate my wedding night with Vijay and have my future kiddos?

This girl...

I let out a growling sound and looked at Tanvi in anger. This did grab her attention and she winked at me instantly informing me indirectly that this is her plan to rob Vijay. 

I smiled a bit and looked at Vijay who now said,

"I am not going to give you a single penny my dear sister."

"Then Ishani Bhabhi is gonna stay as a virgin tomorrow as well with me having a girls night out with her tonight." Tanvi said boldly making me cough at her words.

This time I looked at Vijay and warned him with my eyes. If I stay a virgin even after this night then Vijay won't be alive tomorrow.

"Here, take this and shove off your mouth in a corner now Tanvi." Vijay said understanding my warning.

Vijay handed over a bundle of notes to Tanvi who now gleamed in joy looking at them. She was about to hug Vijay in happiness when I came in between them. 

"Vijay... This is not the money which you should give to your sister. Give her one more bundle or else I am not going to enter this place willingly." I said firmly while Vijay gave me a look of shock.

Tanvi along with some other bodyguards started laughing at our situation. Vijay clenched his jaw and replied,

"Well, you wanna rob your husband now?" He asked taking a step towards me.

"Arrey... Tumhare businessman hone ka kya hi fayda haan jo agar tum apni biwi k liye apni behen ko kuch paise na de sako?  Lahnat hai waise business pe aur sharam aani chahiye aise insaan ko. Chalo... Nikalo paise warna apne paas aane take nhi dungi tumhe aaj raat yaad rakhna." I said showing his my tiny finger.

(Hey... What is the use of you being a businessman if you can't give some money to your sister in the name of your wife? That person should be ashamed. Come on... Take out the money and give it to her or else I won't allow you to come near me tonight.)

Well, my index finger which did appear to be smaller in front of him.

"Fine... You stay here. I am going inside." Vijay said and entered the place in all his glory.

Hein? Muh pe beizatti karke chala gaya ye manhus to. Kidde pade isse... Jahnoom main jaaye ye aur main heaven main taaki main isse wahan upar see baith kar gaali doon aur ye kuch kar bhi na paaye. Waise agar heaven se baith kar gaali dungi to heaven wale sin bolkar mujhe b to phek denge hell main? Ishhh... phir to ye aur main phirse saath-saath honge. Nhi... Plan cancelled!

(What? This monkey just insulted me on my face and went inside. May insects be thrown at him... May he go hell while I go to heaven. I will sit in the heaven and gonna abuse him from up there then Vijay won't be able to touch me also for he will be rotting there down. By the way, if I abuse him from heaven then won't the heaven citizens throw me down to hell in the name of sin? Ishh... Then Vijay and I will stay together only. No... Plan cancelled!)

The bodyguards again started laughing at our banter and it was only Tanvi left who did have some sympathy for me in this matter. I rolled my eyes at his departing figure and clenched my jaw in anger. 

Tanvi held my hand and took me inside. I kicked the kalash lightly and stepped inside.

I swear... If Tanvi had not brought me inside then I would have surely ran away from this place. Who would even want to stay up in a place where her husband had just insulted her.

Vijay was standing up in the main hall waiting for us. His face had an instant smirk as soon as I stood beside him. I ignored looking at him and looked at the front. That's when Tanvi came closer to me and whispered in my ear,

"I am with you only Bhabhi... I am in your team only. We are going to take revenge from brother together." 

I smiled instantly at Tanvi and looked down. 

Now what is this mess? Though she claims that she's in my team only but I don't trust her at all. My past experience with her are too good for me to believe her as my well wishes. Even though if she wishes to do something good for me, it will surely lead me to some trouble. But how shall I say no to her proposal?

Oh God... Why am I even stuck between this brother-sister duo?
