Thomas stood there, in tears, and honestly, no one had any clue what to do.

Logan couldn't seem to understand what exactly was happening. He was pretty overwhelmed by the whole thing, actually. So many emotions, and he didn't know how to handle those.

Roman was at a loss for words. He normally knew exactly what to say at all times. He was an actor! Improve was his thing. He could come up with snappy comebacks and insults on the spot, find a way to make a Disney reference at any given moment in time, or even manage to draw a sword in a fraction of a second. But, he didn't know what to do. He couldn't think of a quick silver lining on the situation. Thomas was distressed, and normally Roman would fight whatever was causing him pain, but he wasn't even sure if he could find the strength to even move to grab his sword.

Virgil was starting to panic. He was a part of Thomas, after all. They all were. The sadness of the situation was pulling at him, too. He wanted to curl up into a ball and never be seen again. This situation didn't seem to have a solution. No way out. He didn't know how anything would be alright. He looked to Patton, who always seemed to be there to help in situations like these.

But, Patton was shaking. His bottom lip trembled, and he was doing all he could to hold back the tears in his eyes.

They all stood there, watching as Thomas cried, standing there in the middle of the room. No one moved. No one spoke. No one knew what to do.

"Thomas?" A voice said. Deceit moved toward him. No one had even seen him arrive. He slowly wrapped his arms around Thomas, and Thomas's arms flew around to complete the hug. Thomas's legs gave out, grasping onto Deceit as his only support.

"It's going to be okay." Deceit said. "Everything is fine."

Sometimes a lie is better than the truth.

"Everything's going to be okay."
