"He says you've got a day before he burns it."

Jungkook raised an eyebrow and rubbed his eyes, hair still messed up and lips still swollen from his encounter not long before Hoseok got back. The other demon tried to ignore the hickeys and lipstick stains that adorned his neck, but it was hard to when they were so blatantly obvious.

"What?" He asked, sitting up on the couch and doing up the button of his jeans that he had forgotten to do when he was clumsily dressing himself before Hoseok got home.

He had only moved in with the other yesterday, and was trying at least a little bit to give a decent first impression.

Honestly though, what else could Hoseok expect from living with a lust demon?

"Jimin." Hoseok elaborated, walking into the kitchen and opening the fridge. "He told me you've got a day to get the sweater yourself before he burns it." He reached in and grabbed the carton of milk, not bothering to grab a glass and drinking straight from it.

"Damn it." Jungkook groaned, sitting up and sighing. "That was my favourite sweater too."

"Then go over and get it, dipshit." Hoseok retorted, closing the milk carton and putting it back in the fridge. "You've already hurt him, why do you care if you cause more damage or not?"

Jungkook huffed and nibbled at his bottom lip, standing up and brushing off his pants.

"I didn't want to hurt him, so that means that I don't want to hurt him more then I need to." He shrugged. "He's going to cry when I go over there, I know he is; and I don't know if I'm going to be able to take it."

Hoseok raised an eyebrow, leaning against the wall in the kitchen. His eyes were slightly narrowed, expression unamused as he took in Jungkook's words. The younger demon was just as selfish as he was when he was a human, wasn't he?

He was making Jimin miserable again.

He was causing Jimin tears and heartache again.

"I don't see why you had to let him down so harshly." Hoseok finally commented. "You just left him. You didn't give him any reason. Just kicked him to the curb."

Jungkook's eyes narrowed, his lips turning down into a frown.

"You don't know anything about me and Jimin." He fired back, his suddenly bitter tone catching Hoseok slightly off guard. "What reason was I supposed to give him? I can't be with him because I'm a demon. It was either that i lied to him, or I didn't give him any reason at all."

"Lying to him would have let him down a lot easier!" Hoseok countered.

"Why the fuck do you care?" Jungkook exclaimed. "You don't even know him!"

"He looked so broken, Jungkook!" Hoseok huffed. "He looked like such a wonderful person and you broke him!"

"If you like him so much then you fucking go after him!" Jungkook cried out, irritation and a twine of sadness written all over his features. "I... I'm done with him! He can burn my sweater, I don't give a shit! I can't be around him!"

"Why not?" Hoseok asked, exasperated as he tried to figure out what was going on in Jungkook's mind.

"Because I like him too much!"  The younger yelled back, squeezing his eyes shut after the words left his mouth. "I like him way too much. He's so lovely. He so beautiful and sweet. I just want to hold him right now and kiss the tears off of his face but I can't!"

"Jungkook-" Hoseok took a few steps closer to Jungkook, watching with a concerned gaze as the demon before him began to tremble.

"I can't. I can't." Jungkook sniffled, head hanging low as his gaze dropped to the floor. "Jimin I'm sorry, but I can't. I miss you so much, but I can't."

Hoseok's eyebrows furrowed, confused as to what Jungkook was suddenly on about.

"Jungkook what are you talking about-"

"Jimin I love you so much, but I'm going to hurt you again." Hoseok watched in shock as a few tears dripped onto the floor, Jungkook's knees seeming to give out as he sunk down to the carpet. "I love you. I love you so much. I'm sorry. I need you, but I just can't do this to you."

"Jungkook?" Hoseok's voice was soft, carefully trying to pick his next words as he sat down on the floor next to Jungkook. "Jungkook... Who am I?"

Jungkook looked up hesitantly, eyes glittering with unshed tears.

"Hoseok." He answered softly. "O-Or Envy. Depends who you ask."

Hoseok smiled softly.

"Who are you?" He then asked, watching how Jungkook looked confused for a split second.

"I'm Jungkook." He answered, smiling when Hoseok nodded in confirmation.

"What am I?" Hoseok asked, nearly feeling bad that he was bombarding Jungkook with all of those questions.

"A demon." Jungkook answered confidently. "One of the seven deadly sins."

"And what are you?" He watched as Jungkook's years began to dry, a more confused look just starting to take over his features.

"A human?" Jungkook answered, his eyes cloudy as he looked to Hoseok for confirmation once more. "Why are you asking me this?"

Hoseok felt his blood go cold. Jungkook was speaking like he was his old self, but his eyes were still crimson red and his old soul was still under lock and key by the devil.

The way he spoke then, was as if he was a human soul trapped within a demon's body.

In that moment, he truly believed he was his old self.

Hoseok was in such a state of shock as he looked into Jungkook's eyes, ruby coloured irises misted over and swimming in tears that were beginning to build up once more. It was almost unbelievable how quickly he had switched into his old self, as if his demon and human souls were battling each other constantly.

"Jungkook, who is Jimin to you?" He asked softly, allowing the younger demon's fingers to curl around his hand when he reached down for it.

"He's the love of my life." Jungkook answered shakily. "He's the reason that I breathe." Jungkook's raw words struck Hoseok right to the core, making him realize that he truly didn't take the time to listen to Jungkook was going through when he was human.

"And where is he now?" Hoseok watched as Jungkook brought his hand up and pressed it against his cheek, his tears wetting the palm of Hoseok's hand. He felt as Jungkook's shoulders began to shake, more and more tears slipping down his cheeks. "Hey, please don't cry. I just need you to answer me."

"He's dead." Jungkook sobbed, letting go of Hoseok's hand so that he could lean forwards and press his face into the other demon's chest. "And I'm the cause of it."

He paused for a moment, gulping thickly.
"I said that he's the reason that I breathe because without him I feel like I'm suffocating. I can't get a breath in without feeling pain and misery."

He looked up at Hoseok, heartbreak written all over his features.

"All of my air left me, when Jimin took his last breath." His words were spoken just above a whisper, the tone that he spoke in sounding so absolutely haunting.

"It's going to be alright." Hoseok spoke gently, petting Jungkook's hair and guiding the younger's head to tuck into the crook of his neck. "Just stay calm with me alright? You'll be okay."

Jungkook took in a shaky breath, nuzzling his head further into Hoseok.

"I just love him so much." He sniffed, Hoseok nodding slowly and rubbing calming circles against Jungkook's back.

"I know you do." He sighed. "We'll talk about this later alright? I need you to calm down a bit for me."

"I just can't believe that he's gone." Jungkook cried softly into Hoseok's shoulder, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt.

"He's not, Kook." Hoseok breathed. "Believe me when I say that he's not."
