Hello warriors, and welcome to our newest book, Into Ashes!

Into Ashes is a choose-your-own-adventure (CYOA) story with reader-insert allegiances and a voted-on path.

This means that at the end of every chapter, our main character Greystar (aka "you") will be faced with a decision. It's up to you, as the readers, to vote on which path you think Greystar should take. The option with the most votes after a certain period of time will be the chosen path. These choices could be as simple as going right or left at Oak Street, or they could be as dastardly as deciding to go to war or stay peaceful - it all depends on which direction you take the story. Greystar and the clans will evolve based on your choices. Vote by commenting which option you think should happen. (If you don't like any of the options offered at the end of the chapter, feel free to suggest your own - but then you'd have to get others to vote for it!)

Other than Greystar, the rest of the allegiances will be filled by the readers. Each person may submit one cat to enter into the story (sign-ups are on the next chapter). There are three whole clans to fill up, plus a whole city's worth of kittypets, so there are plenty of spots for people to join in! We can't promise that each cat will get a shot in the spotlight, as the story will depend on your choices, but we'll do our best to bring justice to everyone's characters.

Character submission will remain open throughout, even after the story begins, since we'll have the opportunity to meet more and more characters as the story progresses.

Greystar's world is pretty good one. You're the leader of RavenClan, one of three clans who live in this region. RavenClan lives at the edge of a large, bustling twoleg city split in two halves by a river. RavenClan claims territory both on the fringes of the twolegplace as well as part of the nearby forest. They're resourceful cats, brave and unafraid to take advantage of any opportunity that comes their way.

Deeper in, the majority of the forest is home to OwlClan, known for being quiet, peaceful cats. Outside the forest and across the river, the adventurous EagleClan cats roam the open hills and plains.

These clans have always been fairly friendly with each other - borders aren't always enforced, and they've been known to trade resources before, especially with OwlClan. So really, life here is great.

Except that there's something strange going on in the city...
