I was in bed dying because of a fever "You're not dying (Y/N) you're just sick stop being over dramatic, that's my job." Dr. Iplier said as he wrote something down on his clipboard after taking your temperature lucky for you it was low so you're gonna be fine. "I suggest getting some sleep and maybe have some soup afterwards" Dr. Iplier said as he packed his bags getting ready to leave. As he was about to open the door you stopped him, "w-wait what if it gets worse?" You asked concerned but he only gave you a look "You have my number you can always call me (Y/N), now gets some rest you'll need it or it will get worse." You really didn't want him to leave, you didn't want to be alone Dr. Iplier is all about business and taking his job seriously and he should he's a doctor, he cares for people even if it doesn't look like it he truly does and that's what you like about him. "But I can't sleep!" You blurted out stopping him in his tracks you then continued "can you..stay and talk to me..please" You said giving your best puppy dog eyes he only stared at you giving a blank expression then sighed in defeat "fine" was all he said as he took a seat at the foot of your bed "but this is only to get you to sleep I'll give you thirty minutes then I'm out got it" he said seriously but you just dogged it and smiled at him excitedly "do you have other patience?" You asked "well no but I'm a busy man who doesn't have time for talking" Dr. Iplier said you only laughed then coughed, once you stopped you continued "you sound like Dark" you chuckled when you looked at him you could see a smile but then it was replaced with a frown. You wanted to get him to smile a laugh would be a bonus "well it's true I can't just sit around waiting for a chance I have to go and take it!" He's very motivational "well now that sounds like Bim" he kept in a chuckle if you wanted motivation go to Bim he'll set you straight with a whole bunch of quotes. "Why do you want me here anyways?" He asked as he got serious once again "I told you because I can't sleep" You said lying "tell me the truth (Y/N), Why do you truly want me here?" He was starting to get suspicious "I-I don't want to be alone I hate being alone I don't want to waste your time but..." you looked down upset and ashamed a little embarrassed too Dr. Iplier didn't say anything for a while you thought he was mad or was gonna laugh so you prepared yourself.
But you felt a hand on your shoulder "why didn't you say so (Y/N)?" He asked smiling at you and it was a genuine smile he wasn't hiding it or faked it or trace of mockery, it was truly genuine and it made you smile as well.
