DEV'S POV

Calm your breath down. She likes you.

I have been trying since a few minutes.

"What do you wanna have?" She asked

"My lady has already planned everything" I replied trying to sound chill.

"I have something to say" she said after s of minute of silence.

"Me too"

"OK you say first" she spoke.

"Ladies First"

"Dev.." I know she hates all these but I need time to prepare.

"Please Sona"

She sighed, "fine"

"I have been thinking it since yesterday, I know you like me and to be honest feelings are mutual."

Is she going to propose me? Fuck no.. I will do it.

"Listen Sona, before you proceed I want to say it before you" my smile seems never ending and now I am confident.

"As I have already told you yesterday my feelings about you and I came here with a motive. Motive of starting something fresh. So Ms Sonakshi Kapoor, will you be my Girlfriend and complete the void in my life?" Finally I said it. Good Job Dev Dixit.

SONA'S POV.

Shocked. This is not what I expected. Screwed.

His jolly face understood my expressions.

"Sona.." He held my hand but I removed it soon.

"What's wrong?" He asked. What am I supposed to say now?

"Dev, I didn't expect this." Oh God, this is gonna be tough.

"But this is what you wanted to..." I signalled to stop.

"I was not going to say this."

"Don't just listen my words, understand what I am going to say now OK. You and me... We are just poles apart with no point of commonality. Feelings tie us but are you sure you can rely upon newly grown feelings for years when you very well know that we will be meeting only a few times in a year. And settlement? Can you leave your job? You can't and I can't either."

"You dont like me?" He asked with that hurtful expression and that was the moment I was fearing for. I can't face that now.

"I do and trust me its more than that. You are leaving tomorrow and God knows when we will meet next. How can you start a relationship from long distant?"

"You don't trust me?" His questions will kill me now.

"Why won't I?"

"No you don't. You don't trust me with other ladies. Or you just don't like me enough. I don't know about you but I know what I feel for you. And its not newly grown for fuck sake. You just fucking arranged everything to break this heart of mine. Rehaan's hatred for you in the past was valid. You are selfish. That day you could have told him but you left."

Triggering words and tears fell down my cheeks.

"You needn't have to bring that topic." I said.

DEV'S POV

And my anger issues ruined it again. She cried. She cried because of me.

"I am sorry I just lost control. I understood what you meant by your words."

She wiped the tear drops and looked up to me.

"I was the one who was being childish. We can't start something  like this when we know that we are miles apart. Thanks for making me understand that my decision was wrong." I said stabbing my own self.

"Dev.."

"Its OK Sonakshi, not to bother much. We are better off as friends. I shall take your leave now. Thanks for the hospitality. Meet ya soon."
