MOUNT COLLEGE

FOOTBALL GROUND

24th March, 2010

Evening 5:00

A young man was seen practicing in the ground all alone. He was just in his vest and sports shorts and was all sweating due to all running n other stuff. Some girls were seen sitting on the stairs beside the practice area was were busy ogling shamelessly oh his oh so hot n sexy body while he was just ignoring all those attention n was sincerely practicing with his full attention. He is revealed to be our most dangerous devil.....SANKY. He was practicing for the upcoming match as he being the sports star of the college is always expected to be the best.

After practicing for a considerate amount of time, he went near his backpack n pulled out his water bottle n gulped some water n poured the rest over his head to relax n calm down his nerves. He then saw to the girls sitting by side and flashed his sexy dimples to them n then jerked his head sideways to remove the water droplets from hairs. He then picked his bag n other things and headed towards the locker room to change n head back to his gang.

Other side, we can see two girls heading out of the lecture hall looking all tired n hungry heading towards the canteen to grab something to eat first. They were our ragu and preety all set to attack on anything available to eat. Soon they reached their destination i.e. canteen and had some snacks n coffee as it was already 45 past FIVE. After little bickering n spending sometime roaming around to end their boredom, preety head back to their flat as she was feeling too sleepy while ragu decided to spend some time in library doing her assingments n research for the upcoming project, so after seeing off preety to the exit gate, she headed back to reach library.

On the way to library she missed the notice stating "The library will be closed by 6:30 pm today due to some re-storing work. So kindly leave the space before 7:00 pm to avoid any inconveniance".

After taking a short shower n getting dressed, sanky reached to his gang to catch up the latest gossip n spend some time. He was looking out for namit and waiting for him but there was no news of him so he decided to look for him himself n excused himself from his group. He searched each n every place where he could be found but wasn't able to find him so atlast he thought of checking him in the library as well as there were a few times when namit used to be there, though it was very rare.

It was almost 7 pm when he entered the library zone while trying his number for the uncountable times when his phone's battery died n then he was left wid no other option than checking personally. So he went ahead ignoring the notice of the closure time warning n entered inside while pocketing his already dead phone cursing his fate n his best friend. Already he was much confused n messed up wid his thoughts regarding THAT SPECIFIC ARROGANT GIRL...... who was already messing wid this thoughts n feelings. The more he was trying to ignore her, she was constantly all over his mind n thoughts. She was the only reason why was he practicing day n night n keeping himself busy so that her thoughts n face wouldn't hunt him. He was still not able to understand why was all this happening to him? Their last meet was something which both of them were not able to digest , so both of them have been ignoring each-other as much as possible to avoid any such awkward situation again seeing their history.

Ragini was busy turning the pages of the book she was reading for the past 15 minutes now. She was left all alone in the huge library n was confused even as why no one is present here as usually the library used to be occupied until 8:00 pm as she has to struggle a lot in-order to grab a seat for herself but the case today was so different n unusual. Neverthless, she shrugged all those thoughts n continued with what she was doing.

Sanskaar also reached the library room n started looking for namit all over but was left disappointed as he saw the library was empty. He was about to move out when he saw someone sitting at the farthest corner. He tried to see the person was that person's view was blocked due to a huge pile of books kept beside. So he started walking along the direction to see who is this great person hell bend on finishing all the books in a single day itself. He was thinking of doing some mischief n have lill fun when he saw that person standing n moving towards one of the racks to keep the books. The shelf was in lill dark corner so he wasn't able to see the face of the person. He silently tiptoed towards the opposite side of the shelf to scare the person but stopped in the track when he felt something weird as if he felt her presence nearby him. This was happening wid him for the past few days n this all is happening from that day when he held her too close to himself n was lost in her hazel black eyes. He was unable keep finger on what was happening to him. He was all lost in his own thoughts when he saw the figure moving apart and settling on its previous space. He turned around to reach that place when the person sitting turned towards the light n he was shocked to the core looking at that face. His feeling was right.....again..... she was there all the time back when he entered n felt her presence as usual as he was sensing her everytime now n there as if a sensor is installed within him which detected her everytime she neared him or came in his range. He was all astonished on looking at her so peaceful face n felt his heartbeat raising abruptly. She was looking all sweet n serious wid a cute frown on her face busy in reading something n noting few things in her diary.

Sanky started moving towards her all lost in a trance n engrossed in observing her each n every actions n expressions.

Oneside where sanskaar was all busy observing her beauty, ragu was all lost in her work. As soon as she finished her work, she stood up collecting all those books scattered on the table which she was reading a while ago, n picked them up to keep them back at their place. As soon as she turned around n hardly walked 2 or 3 steps ahead, she sensed someone else's presence beside her n her whole body tensed up wid a weird feeling crawling beneath her skin. She turned suddenly to check on her surrounding when she bumped into something hard as a result of which she lost her balance n all those pile of books in her hand crashed down n she too went on to join them on the hard n dark floor. But it looked like destiny had already sent her savior yet again to stop her freefall. When she was about to fall, she was saved again by someone. She felt an electrifying sensation ran over her whole body n her eyes shut tightly on its own, but even wid her eyes closed, she felt that touch so familiar n was shocked she didn't felt any awkwardness or weirdness for the fact that she was in someone's arms at the moment.

While sanky who was all lost in her face until now, jerked into reality on seeing her falling n speed up his reflexes to gather her in his arms before she gets hurt. He was trying to see if she got hurt or not but the moment his eyes met her hazel eyes ,when she opened her eyes to see who it was with whom she felt this comfortable n secured, he was a gone case again....for the third time in a single meet.

Sanskaar was all lost in her angelic face while ragu, who was supposed to be struggling n lashing on him by now, was also gone case for a change. She was trying to understand what was happening to her but couldn't n......hence in attempt of finding reasons she was also lost in her thoughts thus hanging freely in his arms. However when his eyes got locked wid hers, she was also lost in those brown mysterious eyes n was trying to find something. Both were indulged in this deep eyelock, trying to find something but failed abruptly thereby prolonging the first mutual eyelock.

Their stare game was disturbed by a loud sound of something clinking as if metal chains were allowed to collide n ramble. Coming back to their senses, both of them jerked away from each other n stood at a decent distance while looking here n there due to awkwardness. It was truly strange, there was no awkwardness when they were in each other arms bt it came when they were at distance???

Once apart, their TOM-JERRY equation came back to life n both of them fumed seeing eachother. Sanky was hell angry on her due to her affect on him while ragu was hell pissed off on him due to his past stunt n this oh-so-not-required-help-n-care-game.

She was about to shout at him for playing this game wid her, when she stumbled over a book scattered on the floor due to their past collision n once again landed in his embrace ......this time more closer . Sanky , who was angry on her a secong back, snapped back to his proctective mode n secured her safely by snaking his arms around her waist n helping her body to lean over his while her arms snaked around his neck on its own. This time they were hell more closer than the past incidents wid her front pasted wid his manly chest. Both were breathing deeply n were staring into each other eyes unmindful of their position n rivalry. The moment stopped for both of them when they landed this closer n were all lost. In this lost state, sanky tightened his hold on her waist more, if possible, thereby pulling her more closer such that their faces were just 1 or 2 inches apart and any further movement can lead to something of which neither of them had even thought in their wildest dreams.

 But, this moment also lasted only for a moment as this time sanky came back to his senses seeing her lost n scared n immediately moved away before their lips can touch eachother. He made her stand properly n moved few steps back to catch his breath which was stuck from don't know when.

Once apart, both of them were left speechless n hence turns around facing away from each other. Ragini immediately took her stuffs n rushed towards the exit door to escape anymore embarrassing situation and teasing comments from him, while sanky cussed himself for losing his control n giving his attention to his greatest enemy. When he moved towards the exit gate, he saw her yet again standing by the doorside n banging it to open the doors. He was confused with the happening, but decided to check himself about the matter n frowned on seeing the closed gates.

S: Err..... emmm.... Huffff... move aside n ... lemm.....lemme check.

Ragini immediately jerked aside n turned other side showing her back to him n nodded.

Sanky pushed the door to open it but frowned seeing it all closed n not moving even an inch. He pushed the door again wid all his strength bt in return they only heard some clanking metal sound n nothing else. Soon they understood what that sound was n looked at each other horrified knowing that they are locked together....all alone... in this humongous library n won't be able to escape until morning when someone will come to unlock the lock. Not left wid any other option, they tried their luck for once shouting n banging the doors so that if someone is present nearby, they can hear their voice n help them out but their badluck..... it was almost 7:45 n everyone must have left the college by now , even the workers n peons and the whole corridor would be empty.

Huffing n tired both of the poor souls were throwing angry glares towards eachother n trying to kill the other person wid their glares itself if possible.

R: It's all coz of you, I'm struck here.

S: O really! It should be me saying this to u as the real reason behind our this condition is you Ms. Annoying.

R: How dare u to call me annoying? N what did I do can u plzz enlighten?

S: Ya ya..... why will u knowing the reason behind all this crap. U were the one busy in falling in my arms again n again. Well ...... I didn't knew until now that u were this despo be in my arms.....(smirking)

R: Do hell with u n ur attitude Mr.Nut-head. Despo? N that too me ? for what? For be in ur arms? Huhhh.... Stop day dreaming n get a life dude!

S: well technically its night so I'm not daydreaming. N about my dream then u should stop dreaming that I would ever dream about a stupid crazy person like you.

R: What did u say? I'm stupid n carzy? Fuck off dude! N even if I was falling or doing whatever I wanted..... why did u stayed back to catch me?

S: Emmm.... Its nothing as such. I was .... I was ...just....emmm..

R: My....my.... the great sanskaar maheshwari is speechless. Am I hallucinating or what? Huhh.... Why don't u agree that u r searching for lame excuses to come closer to me n humiliate me more if any such thing was left?

S: Shut up u crazy head! I was just....just trying to help u out. U should be thankful to me that I saved u from getting hurt n here u r doubting mine intentions n questioning me only? Wow... dude....such a thankless person u r!

R: you...... ummmmhhhhh...... okk....cooooll...... Did I asked for ur help? Not ...right? Then y the hell are u doing this. As if that day was not enough when u embarrashed me in front of the whole college... now here u r....again....locked up wid me.....all alone....

S: Ohh....so now I got it! U r tensed not coz we r locked up n left all alone in this stupid fucking horrible place, but rather u r tensed that u r with me? Hell..... god plz kill me for helping such a stupid creature?

R: shut up....will u? I'm already tensed about all this fiasco n u r all crying about ur greatness.

S : God .....no don't kill me....kill her .... Or rather let me do it myself.

Saying this sanky started moving towards her direction wid his hands in a position as if he was going to strangulate her neck when the lights of the library went off ....leaving behind everything in utter darkness. Sanskaar was looking here n there as if trying to adjust his eyesight when he heard a loud shrill shout from ragini n jerked off from his place. Before he could understand what was happening around, a small petite figure jumped over his body clasping his shoulders very tightly n jerked his un-prepared body thus making his stumble back n fall on his back along with that figure in his arms. Even while he was falling himself, he made sure that she is not hurt n snaked his hands around her n hugged her tightly thereby covering her whole figure wid his body n hands. As soon as he landed on the floor wid a loud thud, he brought her more closer to him if possible, n moved his hands up n down her back in an assuring way that she is all fine n nothing has happened.

Ragini who was all scared to the darkness.....snuggled more in his warm embrace n rested her face in the crook of his neck to stabilize her heartbeats which went all wild due to her fear n darkness. She lifted her face after sometimes n saw him lying all sprawled beneath her without any movement. She immediately clutched his shoulder blades more due to her anxiety n fear thus making him yelp in pain as her nails were already digged in his skin n he was sure by now that he would be having many scratches on his body until morning. Though he was in pain himself, yet he tried to help her as by now he was clear she was scared of darkness n is totally dependent on him tonight. So he decided to distract her mind from her fear n called her name softly for the first time.....period.

S: Ragini! ARE U FINE?

R: SILENT

S: Ragini.... Ragini.... See m here.... U r not alone okay?

HOWEVER ..... he got no reply in return n just noticed her shivering form clinging to his body n trying to calm down. So he decided to distract her further by any means to get her attention to himself. He instantly removed his hands from her back n cupped her face softly yet properly to make her look at him n asked her repeatedly to look at him for once atleast.

After much persistence when she finally opened her eyed n looked in his eyes, he blinked his eyes in an assuring manner that he is wid her n would not let anything happen to her. Thankgod for the little ventilator at top through which moonlight was coming in the room n he was able to atleast see a little. When he observed that she was still staring at his face without blinking as if lost finding something, he observed her each n every expression minutely n slowly slowly got lost in her angelic face thus ending up kissing her forehead in assuring n caring manner .
