Annabeth glared at Percy's shroud, a beautiful silken sea green, like his eyes. It had a golden trident in the center and gold trim on the edges. It wasn't supposed to end like this. It just wasn't! She would never stop being mad at him, but she would never hate him.

Annabeth stayed silent the whole ceremony, which Poseidon had attended. Sally was allowed into camp as well, Chiron himself gave her permission.

Finally, when the campfire had died down, Chiron excused everyone for bed. Annabeth walked the long way around to the Athena cabin, refusing to pass by cabin three. It just hurt.

She settled in her bunk nearly three hours later, having stopped at the lake to say her personal goodbyes. She made a small boat out of sticks and rubber bands, and asked the Hecate cabin to enchant it to never sink. Surprisingly, the enchantment took only a few minutes, and she had it back.

She sent it off, watching until she could no longer see it. Just like she would no longer see the face of her stupidly brave seaweed brain.

Annabeth tensed up. If she was immortal, she would train harder, so that she would never ever lose someone again.

"Why the Hades did the monsters have to attack here?! Are they rubbing it in our faces?!" I shouted, pulling my blonde hair into a bun. Leo glared at the cloudless sky, muttering curses at it every few seconds. I didn't know or care what his deal was. I just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible, and that meant destroying this army of monsters.

"Maybe so." Jason scowled.

"What's up with you?" Piper asked him, pulling out a sword.

"I don't know. But something is going to happen soon."

"No shist." Hazel said, staring at the advancing army of monsters. I didn't want to die yet.

I can die, by the way. It's kind of like Thalia's deal. None of us will die naturally, but if we're killed, we die like everyone else.

Like Percy.

I shook the thought from my head. I knew by now that Percy wasn't necessarily dead, but he wasn't anywhere on the Earth. It had been way too long for him to have survived anywhere else, so he was dead. Plain and simple.

"I swear to Hephaestus! It's been way too fucking long!" Leo shouted. I assumed he was shouting at the monsters, but instead he was shouting at the sky. What?

"Leo, focus on the task at hand." Frank pleaded.

"Who gave you sugar?" Hazel joked.

"No sugar for Valdez." I grinned. A dracaena ran towards me, hissing. I quickly stabbed it, turning it to dust.

"How bad is your God damn aim?!" Leo screeched. I raised an eyebrow - I had killed the dracaena easily.

"Leo, what-"

"What the HADES ARE YOU DOING?!" Leo shouted over me. I turned towards him to see that he was telling at the sky. All of us looked up to see a normal sky.

Well, only for a second.

A deep greenish blue circle opened in the sky. Like a tunnel, I could see into it. It seemed to go on forever. A tiny figure rocketed out of it at breakneck speed, plummeting towards the Earth. The figure grew and grew until it hits the ground, in the center of the army of monsters, with such force that the army turned to dust. Even the Minotaur.

"JESUS FUCKING-" Leo began to shout at the sky more. Jason watched him, a hurt and confused look on his face. I guess he was a son Zeus, huh? Out of all of us, he was probably the most confused.

That was no simple feat. Hazel was rubbing her temple, staring at the newly formed crater, precious jewels popping out of the ground at her feet. Piper was pulling on her braids, Frank was trying not to turn into a bird, and I was... I didn't even know what I was feeling.

I walked towards the pit in silence.
