"When did I.. ever misbehave with you? I don't even remember touching you?"

Shehnaaz's mind was still reeling with her husband's innuendo that he said back at the restaurant about touching her. Boy, it had her imagining stuff now! She took a deep breath as she connected the dots inside her head to understand where it came from, the innuendo was definitely a consequence of the time when he caught her watching the steamy make out scene that night.

It was so different and quite new to her to deal with this unknown feeling, she was definitely liking the way they were progressing into this relationship but wasn't it too soon for sex? She questioned herself if she was in for it. Because if she was, if they got physically involved in this, there was no going back!

Well, she didn't know what to do now, a major part of her wanted to go with the flow. She wanted to be close to Sidharth but at the same moment wanted to distance herself from the stranger she got married to. A part of her wanted to put efforts in this marriage whereas a part of her wanted to put a private agent after Sidharth to find out if he met anyone behind her back. A part of her wanted to cook for him, laugh with him and travel places with him whereas a part of her wanted to focus on her career rather than attending events with her husband.

She was so occupied with thoughts that she didn't hear the door open and close, her husband's sight made his presence obvious to her. Sidharth exchanged a smile with her before he made his way to the washroom. It had been a matter of a few minutes until his phone started ringing. She contemplated if she should look who it is or not and decided not to bother herself but the ring didn't seem to have an end.

"Oh, Sidharth! Vicky ka call aa raha hai!" She let him know after she couldn't keep her curiosity to herself and was glad that it was his best friend.

"Let it be." He replied from the bathroom.

"Lagatar kyu call kar raha hai ye!" She whined, when Vicky kept calling when no-one was answering.

"Free ho toh lelo call." He said, knowing how his friend wasn't going to rest until his calls are answered. However, he doubted if she wanted to talk to his friend.

"Okay." She replied and answered the call.

"Kyu bey kutte!? Kitna time lagta hai tujhe mera call lene me saaley!?" Vicky hurled. Shehnaaz was not only stunned, she was surprised with the rough tone.

"Bolega kuch!? Abhi agar koi emergency hoti toh mai toh kabka mar chuka hota! Ab yeh mat bolio meeting me tha, tere ghar aa ke teri gand-" He kept on going until she interrupted.

"Vicky, it's me! Shehnaaz!" She took a sharp breath, now that she was utterly shocked and disgusted by the kind of language her husband's friend used.

"Oh, oh shit! I-I-I I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Shehnaaz. Shit, I really had no idea it was you, darling. I apologize for my language, I'm so sorry." Vicky's language, tone and demeanor changed within seconds as he began to apologize religiously.

"Are you there? Shehnaaz mera yakeen mano mai aadmi acha hu, bas thodi galiyan nikal jati hai kabhi kabhi. I'm sorry you heard all that!" He added and she couldn't help but laugh at the moment.

"It's alright Vicky, I understand tum dono dost ho." She replied, letting it go.

"Thank you for your kindness. You are such a sweetheart! Kaisi ho?" He asked further like a gentleman.

"I'm good, how about you?" She asked him.

"I'm excited, thrilled and absolutely happy right now. Actually I just got engaged to Elle, isliye call kar raha tha." He replied.

"Oh wow! Congratulations Vicky!" She wished him, now getting why he was being so absurdly impatient.

"Actually, Sidharth is in the washroom. Mai usko bolti hu call back karne ke liye." She added.

"Let him be, mai tumhe hi invitation de deta hu. Dinner at my place tomorrow! Just be there and if possible, we'll make plans for the weekend as well. Only if you're free. It'll be just us, you two and us, please aana!" He replied.

"Oh, okay sure." She answered, wondering even if she had the weekend free or not. The guy had simply announced that he wanted the couple over to their place, well he was Sidharth's friend so she found it difficult to not say yes. It was at such moments she realized that she was not that much of a person who liked to socialize.

"Kya bol raha tha?" Sidharth emerged out of the bathroom.

"Uski engagement ho gayi Elle ke sath. Kal dinner pe bulaya hai." She replied and watched her husband smile wholeheartedly.

"Oh that's great!" He exclaimed, picking up his phone to call back his best friend.

"You know he was so crazy about Elle, 3 saal se peeche pada tha uss ladki ke! Lucky bastard!" He told her. She chuckled, watching him all excited about the good news as he walked out towards the balcony to make the call and the two best friends went on for like an hour talking about it.

Later in the night, Sidharth apologized on Vicky's behalf, for the obscene language, she had to bear with. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked you to take the call. He's the worst when it comes to keeping his mouth shut!" He said.

"It's okay, mujhe tumhe hi phone de dena chahiye tha. Mai bach jati!" She chuckled.

"Yeah? Vicky pagal hai! You know one time, we were in college back then. Wo ghar aata tha, Mom-Dad se baatein karta tha aur usne baaton baaton me ye bata diya ke humne juniors ki ragging li thi! That idiot had me in trouble that day!" He mentioned, reminiscing about his good old days. She laughed with him as well.

"Kafi alag alag hi na tum dono? He's so talkative and you're hardly in the mood to talk." She said.

"Kind of." He nodded with a smile, impressed that she noticed it.

"And good for him, getting engaged to the love of his life. It's rare these days." She said, it made her husband look at her with a surprised face and the two ended up laughing a second later. It was their inside joke, the fact that they didn't really have any choice while they were chosen for each other. Love or not, they had been tied together in this so-called marriage to manage it by themselves.

"So talking about the love of his life, tell me something about you!" She said, turning towards him with her legs comfortably crossed on the bed.

"What about me?" He asked, wondering why she wanted to know about him.

"Did you love anyone?" She asked, in an obvious manner.

"No." He shook his head.

"So there was no one?" She asked, not being able to believe him. He shrugged, not even bothering to repeat a 'no'.

"Okay, so who would it have been if not me? Kisi se toh shaadi karte na?" She basically repeated her question in other words.

"Why would you ask such a thing? Deal tumhare father se hui, it had to be you." He answered, questioning her senses.

"It's just a question!" She shrugged.

"Ridiculous question!" He commented, picking up his phone from the side stand to scroll through.

'I meant if you would have been the same if it was someone else? What if you wouldn't have signed the deal with my father? It could have been anybody's daughter! Would have been the same with her? Would you have accepted this marriage proposal if it was any other girl?'
She felt like asking for it for a moment but knew the answers herself and she didn't want to disappoint, hurt and embarrass herself by letting him state the obvious answers and ruin the mood.

"Hello?!" He sang a little to gain her attention back to him.

"Ha?" She looked at him, masking up her thoughtful little face.

"You zone out often." He mentioned and she looked embarrassed at the fact.

"I was just thinking." She shrugged. She used to talk a lot with herself inside her head, a complete debate session by herself, from appreciations to criticism.

"About? Me?" He had his brows raised.

"Yeah, right." She scoffed, to show as if he was being a little too cocky lately.

"So probably the series you've been watching." He shrugged and it took no time to realize what he was implying to by his crooked smile.

"You said, you wouldn't judge me! It was a scene!" She defended herself for watching the steamy make out clip.

"I just said you could be thinking about it!" He justified his words skillfully while a tint of pink shade crept up her cheeks and he enjoyed watching her blush.

"Sidharth!" She hit his bicep angrily, he was getting a little too frank lately and it was so different to deal with when she would run out of words to argue.

"Ouch! Maar kyu rahi ho?" He gasped at her audacity.

"Yeh jo tum chhed rahe ho na mujhe, sab samajh rahi hu!" She shouted at him, having enough of his comments.

"Seeti maari tumhe? Kab chheda, ha?" He asked as he held back his laugh.

"Maine wo movie dekhi uske liye hi chhidha rahe ho na?! Bas baatein bolne ke liye hoti hai!" She retorted, totally in a mood to argue now that he was getting on her nerves.

"Toh kyu dekhi aisi film? Tum dekh sakti ho, mai bolu bhi nahi?!" He asked back and then smiled victoriously when she didn't have any come back to this.

She glared at him, he held her closed fist before it could hit him again and twisted it behind her back. That was quick, she was surprised that he had seen it coming and she wriggled under his grip but couldn't set herself free.

"Fierce, I see." He commented right into her ears as she gasped, pursed in lips inward and took a deep breath, feeling her cheeks heating up every passing second.

Slowly, he left her hand and caressed the part of her wrist he had twisted, he even kissed the spot and kept looking at her.
