Shehnaaz stared at her phone, her sister wasn't picking up her calls for the last few days and it was upsetting her. She wanted to apologize to Mankiran for everything, for revealing the past to her in the worst way possible, for hurting her sentiments and for making her choose between her parents and sister. Instead, Mankiran was supposed to be the link that would connect the family back again but the situation had only worsened since then.

Sidharth's lawyer presented their case and the case was accepted. They heard about Sukhbir and his lawyer looking for evidence that'd prove that the Chopra's were after his property and business and had turned his daughter against him. In the very first hearing, his lawyer had mentioned Shehnaaz's pregnancy as a part of Sidharth's plan to manipulate her and use her against her father. He was playing dirty and all of it was over the news and media. Sidharth had never been more mad about it, as much as Shehnaaz had seen him happy and excited for Vicky's wedding, she saw him anxious and angry regarding the case as well.

And as if this was not enough, Dr. Harshita had pointed out that Shehnaaz's BP needed to be taken care of and kept asking her about her plans in the future, about her family and work. Even though Shehnaaz knew it was the doctor's job, she was too occupied with the court hearings to respond to those appointments clearly.

A lot happened in the last week but as of now, they flew to Delhi to attend Vicky and Elle's wedding ceremony.

"How's this? Baby pink ya peach?" Shehnaaz asked her husband, displaying two sets of necklaces to go with her heavily embroidered golden lehenga while they were getting ready.

"Hmm.. I don't know. Dono bohot sahi lag rahe hai. Pehen ke dikha." He replied.

"Okay." She obliged, wearing the peach shaded necklace and turning around so that he could tie it at the back. The two looked at each other and then turned to face the mirror, he stood behind her back and analysed if her jewellery went with her outfit.

"Matches well. Ab dusra try kar." He commented and opened the necklace back again.

"Ab bata?" She smiled, changing to the other piece and realizing that this one added more to the glow.

"Yeh acha hai, isko pehen." He mentioned, resting his chin on her shoulder and looking at her through the mirror with a subtle smile.

"Sidharth.." she whispered, leaning her head a little towards his.

"Hmm.." he hummed, slowly wrapping his hands around her waist.

"Sandals bhi choose karde na, mujhe sare acche lag rahe hai." She mentioned and his face dropped, he was expecting a small steamy moment before they joined the Baraat with the family.

She chuckled, she had been trying to busy him with her, in order to take his mind off the court hearings to let him enjoy his friend's wedding.

"Yeh pehenu? Isme zyada heals nahi hai toh dance karte banega?" She asked him.

"Dance? Tujhe dance karna hai?" He asked her, dumbfounded.

"Baraat me aur kya karte hai? Arey tere best friend ki shaadi hai!" She excitedly replied.

"You're pregnant sweetheart, are you sure you wanna dance!? Vaise bhi Vicky ke cousins hai na, hum car se directly venue chalte hai." He suggested.

"Noo! Yaar, tujhe pata hai? Aaj tak maine kisi ki baraat me dance nahi kiya hai! Meko karna hai dance! Zyada nahi karungi, lekin mujhe karna hai!" She demanded, holding his hands and giving him a puppy look. She wasn't lying, her father never let her enjoy a function more than she should have, they were always supposed to maintain a so-called calm and composed behavior in public.

"Fine!" He rolled his eyes at her. He changed into a 3 piece Armani suit, set his hair and wore his shoes while his wife was still doing her hair and makeup. He sighed audibly, watching her curl the ends of her hair with a curling iron.

"You done?" He asked.

"Ha, almost." She replied and stared at herself into the mirror before turning to him.

"Kaisi lag rahi hu?" She asked him, walking towards him with grace as if she was walking on a ramp.

"Gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful! Tune yeh jo chunni banai hai apni, yeh bilkul saree ke jaise look de raha hai." He smiled, complimenting her.

"Haina? Aur mera makeup?" She further asked.

"Acha hai, bohot sahi lagaya hai tune. That lipstick suits you!" He answered, liking the deep shade of maroon she had used.

"Is it turning you on?" She teased him with a wink.

"Frankly speaking, yes it is!" He chuckled, enveloping his arms around her and nuzzling into her face such that his lips were quite close to hers.

She bit her lips shyly, letting him lure her into a deep, sensational and passionate kiss. His exquisite scent had always been an add-on, she loved how he smelled so good and so fresh all the time. Once they parted, she reapplied her lipstick, handed her phone to her husband to carry and joined the Baraat outside.

"Hey, looking goooood darling!" Vicky met her, in a heavily embroidered sherwani himself.

"Thanks! Are you excited?" She asked him.

"Lil bit! Even though everything's going to be pretty much the same. But yeah, this feels nice." He answered, correcting his stole around his neck, again and again.

"Ha, dikh raha hai." Sidharth commented, rolling his eyes at his friend.

They proceed with a couple of rituals before getting started with the Baraat, they were only going to take a stroll around the hotel and come back because Elle and his family were staying in the same place with them.

Almost all the rituals and customs had been performed together by the bride and the groom's family mainly to guide Elle's family throughout the wedding. The moment the DJ began to play some good peppy tunes to dance upon, the youngsters began to loose themselves in the moment and dragged everyone to dance along.

Shehnaaz being herself had gelled up well with the groom's squad, she was having a good time dancing with Vicky's cousins. Sidharth was having a nice time watching her dance as well, this was probably the first time she was dancing infront of him.

Earlier, Sidharth didn't mind his friends around her but right now their newly formed friendship with his wife felt different. He would at times feel left out as if she didn't care about him while none of that was true, she never ignored him. He was so habituated to have her around that he wanted her by his side all the time, a smile took over his face realizing he was actually love sick.

As the Baraat reached near the entrance, Vicky came out of his car and danced with his family.

"Aana Sid!" Their friends called out for him, Achintya, Rahul and their wives, everybody were dancing. Sidharth simply shook his head, denying.

"I'll get him." Shehnaaz said and ran towards her husband.

"Chalna dance karenge!" She insisted, held his hand and began to drag him.

"Shehnaaz, I don't dance. Let me be. Listen-" he kept denying but walked with his wife nevertheless.

"Karo, tumlog karo." He gave in, clapped while they danced.

"Mere ko pata hai, isko kya pasand hai." Vicky said, signalling the DJ to play something in particular and within the next few seconds they heard the Nagin bean tune.

Everybody laughed and pushed Sidharth in the middle of the circle, he chuckled, requested them to let him go but then surrendered. He loosened his tie and shirt a little before raising his hands up in the air and posed like a Nagin and began to dance with Vicky who acted as if he was playing the bean for his friend.

"Woohooo!" Shehnaaz cheered the loudest for her husband, whistled and copied his steps, thereby dancing along with his gang. They had so much fun that night, Vicky and Elle had a really short and sweet wedding with their friends and family within the span of 2 days.

"There are so many rituals, it's so confusing." Elle complained, she had a hard time explaining everything to her parents.

"Too late now, wifey!" Vicky replied, kissing her cheek as everybody sat along the long table for dinner the following night. People smiled looking at the two.

"Elle kitni achhi lag rahi hai nahi shaadi ke jode me? That red colour and her white skin." Shehnaaz whispered, leaning into her husband's ears while eating.

"Hm." He nodded.

"Mai aisi lag rahi thi, humari shaadi me?" She asked him then.

"Tu uske jaisi kyu lagegi?" He asked her back.

"I mean, was I looking good? Did you even notice?" She corrected her question.

"Ofcourse I noticed, you looked amazing!" He answered, caressing her hand under the table.

"Hmm." She nodded, smiling a little but she didn't really look content.

"Kya soch rahi hai ab?" He asked.

"Kaash unn situations me shaadi na hui hoti toh hum bhi inki tarah khush hote. Andar se khush hote. Tu samajh raha hai?" She replied, taking a pause from her meal.

"Hmm. But it doesn't matter now, does it? Hum abhi khush hai na? Ab wo matter karta hai." He explained, taking a moment to look at her. She looked pretty vulnerable to his eyes, a sudden moment of sadness must have hit her, he understood. It was okay to feel like that at times, pregnant or not. She nodded, holding back his hands tighter.

Soon, they flew back to Mumbai after seeing the newly weds off to the airport for their honeymoon. Some days were good when they used to be occupied with work but some days did include the feeling of not being in touch with family.

After Sukhbir took away Parminder's phone, she was not able to contact her daughter while nobody knew what he told Mankiran such that she didn't even visit her family after such a huge fight, nor was she answering anybody's calls.

"Dr. Harshita ab aap mujhe kuch nahi bol sakte. Maine sari tablets timely khai hai aur exercise bhi kar rahi hu." Shehnaaz told her doctor during her routine appointment. Her husband, doctor and the nurse who was checking her pulses chuckled.

"Well, reports toh improve hui hai, lekin.." Dr.Harshita replied but paused herself when the nurse presented another sheet.

"Shehnaaz aapka BP high hai. It has been quite high for a while, aapke parents ko BP ka issue hai?" Dr.Harshita asked.

"Um. Ha, Mummy ko hai." She answered.

"Ok." Dr.Harshita nodded, writing down something on her prescription pad.

"Let's get you prepared for sonography." She added, gesturing the nurse to take the patient ahead.

"Um, sir, I'd like to ask you a few questions." She called Sidharth, once Shehnaaz left.

"Sure." He nodded, taking his seat back again.

"In the beginning, she wasn't quite sure about the baby. Is she really happy now?" The doctor asked.

"Yes! She's really looking forward to it. What happened Doctor?" He was worried now.

"Because she doesn't seem good. Humare routine questions me hum unhe mentally bhi evaluate karte hai and as per my observation, she's anxious about the baby's future. She has low self esteem issues and feelings of inadequacy about parenthood. Her response to reassurance is also poor." She answered.
