"Is it just me, or does it look like we're about to crash?" Peter asked.

"Hey, what's going on?" Evie said to Tony.

"I think we're here. I don't think this rig has a self-park function." He motioned Evie and Peter towards the machine. "Get your hand into this steering gimbal. Close those around it. You understand?"

"Yep, got it," Peter responded

"This was meant for one big guy, so you guys gotta move at the same time. You're twins, right? You think alike, move alike. This should be easy."

Tony was obviously nervous, but Peter seemed to be at ease.

"Okay. Okay. Ready."

"We might wanna turn," Tony said, eyes widening.

"Turn! Turn! Turn!" Peter responded frantically.

The ship crashed and broke as they flew into a giant structure. Doctor Strange made a shield around them to protect them as they fell.

"You all right?" the Doctor asked, helping Tony stand up. "Perfectly fine!" Evie said sarcastically.

"That was close," Tony responded. "I owe you one."

Peter dropped upside down hanging from a web. "Let me just say, if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something, and I end up eating you, I'm sorry."

Tony pointed at Peter. "I don't wanna hear another single pop culture out of you, either of you, for the rest of the trip. You understand?"

"I'm trying to say that something is coming," he responded, and Evie pointed as a grenade rolled into view and the four were thrown back unexpectedly.

Two strangers appeared, one holding a gun and the other yelling, "Thanos!" Doctor Strange's cape quickly tackled him.

The one with the gun pinned both Evie and Tony to the wall with a magnetic disk. Evie began to freeze hers as Tony tried to break free.

As Peter spotted another alien he began crawling back frantically. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Please don't put your eggs in me!"

He quickly webbed her together but the man with a gun knocked him down as Evie froze the disk that held her in place and it let her go. "Stay down, clown."

Evie quickly freezes Tony's disk too as the man threw an electric cord at Peter, knocking him to the floor.

"DIE BLANKET OF DEATH!" the purple one shouted, wrestling with Strange's cape. As he got it off, Tony pointed his hand at him (which formed into a gun), blaster powering up.

However, at the exact same time, the stranger with the gun pulled Peter into a headlock and pressed the blaster against his head.

"Everybody stay where you are, chill F out."

"Language," Evie muttered, standing next to Tony. The man powered off his helmet. "I'm gonna ask you this one time. Where's Gamora?"

"Yeah, I'll do you one better. Who's Gamora?" Tony responded, also powering off his mask.

"I'll do you one better! Why is Gamora?" the stranger Tony was aiming at said.

"Tell me where the girl is, or I swear to you, I'm gonna French fry this little freak." the man replied, pressing the gun harder into Peter's head.

"Let's do it! You shoot my guy, I blast him. Let's go!" Tony extended his nanotech gun. Evie's eyes widened.

"Do it, Quill! I can take it," he yelled back.

"No, he can't take it!" the woman Peter had webbed up cried.

"She's right. You can't." Doctor Strange nodded.

"Oh yeah?" the man responded, obviously aggravated. "You don't wanna tell me where she is? That's fine. I'll kill all three of you and beat it out of Thanos myself." He looked down at Peter. "Starting with you."

"Wait, what, Thanos?" Strange shook his head. "All right, let me ask you this one time. What master do you serve?"

"What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say? 'Jesus'?"

"You're from Earth." Tony wasn't asking.

"I'm not from Earth. I'm from Missouri."

Evie rolled her eyes. "Yeah, that's on Earth stupid. What are you hassling us for?"

"So, you're not with Thanos?" Peter spoke up.

The man scoffed. "With Thanos? No, I'm here to kill Thanos. He took my girl- wait, who are you again?"

Peter deactivated his mask. "We're the Avengers, man."

"Oh."

"You're the ones Thor told us about!" the buggish looking alien said excitedly.

"You know Thor?" Tony obviously relaxed a bit.

"Yeah. Tall guy, not the good-looking, needed saving," the man responded. Peter made a confused look and Evie tried her hardest not to giggle.

"Where is he now?" Tony asked.

The man shrugged. "Dunno, don't really care."

-.-.-.-.-.-

Peter watched as the man (revealed to be Peter Quill, Star-Lord, though he obviously already knew that) measured the planet's tilt. Evie was jumping with Mantis in the low gravity.

"The h*ll happened to this planet?" Quill said as he stood up. "It's eight degrees off its axis. Gravitational pull is all over the place."

"Yeah, well we got one advantage," Tony responded. "He's coming to us. We'll use it. All right, I have a plan. Or at least the beginnings of one. It's pretty simple. We draw him in, pin him down, get what we need. Definitely don't wanna dance with this guy. We just need the gauntlet."

Drax yawned as Evie walked over to join them. Mantis tilted her head at him.

"Are you yawning?" Tony was growing irritated. "In the middle of this, while I'm breaking it down? Huh? Did you hear what I said?"

"I stopped listening after you said, 'We need a plan.'"

"Okay, Mr. Clean is on his own page," Tony told Quill

"See, 'not winging it' isn't really what they do," he said in response.

"Uh, what exactly do they do then?" Evie asked

"Kick names, take ass," Mantis said in what obviously was supposed to be a threatening voice.

"Yeah, that's right," Drax stated quietly.

Tony just stared at them. "Alright, just get over here, please. "Mr. Lord, can you get your folks to circle up?"

Quill rolled his eyes. "'Mr. Lord.' Star-Lord is fine." he motioned Drax and Mantis over.

"We gotta coalesce. 'Cause if all we come at him with is a plucky attitude..."

"Dude, don't call us plucky," Quill cut in. "We don't know what it means. Alright, we're optimistic, yes. I like your plan, except it sucks, so let me do the plan, and that way it might be really good."

"Yeah, I'm sure you have the GREATEST ideas," Peter responded sarcastically, rolling his eyes. Evie gave him a look.

"Peter, be nice," she told him quietly.

"No."

He didn't really care at this point whether he had said this last time. He hated Quill so d**n much. After all, it was his fault they hadn't gotten the glove.

Suddenly he felt himself shoved up against a rock as Tony in his Iron Man suit held him in place. "You have 3 seconds to tell me who you are and what the H*LL you have done with Peter Parker."

Peter laughed slightly. "You know what? I honestly don't care anymore. Sorry not sorry Strange."

Tony relaxed his grip a bit. "What do you mean?"

"Put me down and I'll explain."

Tony glanced over at Evie, who bit her lip, studying Peter before nodding. Tony nodded back and dropped him.

"Ouch, thanks a lot dad," Peter said, standing up.

"Dad?" Tony asked, surprised and even a tad delighted.

"Oh yeah, it's definitely been hard calling you Tony." His appearance changed, flickering red slightly, and suddenly revealed a 20-year-old Peter Parker. He smirked.

"Surprise."
