Mahir's POV:

I kept looking at her... I couldn't believe that she actually said that...

Her eyes were looking deep into my eyes...

Next second she broke the eye-lock and looked elsewhere...

Her back was facing mine!!!

'I don't know when... It all began with a mere crush...
It's funny you know Mahir... It all started with 'Aww he's cute!!!'

I would keep looking at you every day when you stood at the gate on your bike ..funnier...I could just know it was you by the way you would raise the accelerator of your bike...

No one knew about my feelings but then they say right when things get into depth even a blind person could sense it...

I would stalk you on your social media .. and not once I guessed you were committed...I didn't see a single picture of yours with Ruhi...but when I finally realised this was getting into some real depth...I decided to talk to you... You would regularly stand at the gate and I would daily stare at you...I thought you atleast noted me...

But you didn't...

Valentine's day was fast approaching...my friend pumped me up to tell it all to you...

I thought multiple times but then I thought how long to keep it within me..So I finally decided to approach you...
I gathered all my pocket money and bought the little gold pendant which had two halves...

I wanted you to wear it. Then I bought a cake which had my heartfelt emotions written on it...

But then everything shattered when I heard you wish Ruhi on phone...

I realised I was an idiot and completely backed off. It hurt me a lot ...but it made me feel worse when I heard you broke up with Ruhi...I was told that Ruhi found out about my feelings for you seeing the cake, misunderstood and you guys had a breakup !!!....I'm...I'm sorry Mahir...' .. saying she began wiping her tears...

Bela's POV:

I confessed everything to him.
Now his silence was killing me...

While my heart was beating hard I heard his voice...

'Sometimes we don't realise how our lives take a turn with something unexpected and uncalled for...

One such was that valentine's Bela...

Flashback begins...

I was trying to reach Ruhi all the time since night to wish her but her number came switched off... I waited till morning and waited for her outside the college premises but she wasn't here...

Finally I dialled and she picked...She told she was unwell... I had bought roses and teddy bear for her... But because she said she was unwell and she is at her uncle's place where she would stay on weekends...
I was feeling bad as it was valentine's and everyone was with the love of their life while I was sulking alone...I went to Sadhankeri lake and sat alone while I could see a lot of couple's, families, kids around...I felt so lonely...

But then I got a call from mom that a cake was delivered for me without a name and a small gift...Mom teased me a lot as she knew that I had a girlfriend whom she met once or twice...

I ran back home to see the beautiful cake...With golden words written on it...
My heart jumped with joy...
Although we were in a relationship for so long...she never said those words directly to me...
I blushed hard while mom teased me a lot. I turned crimson pink...

Next I opened the little gift box which had the gold pendant and a note...

Half mine
Together we complete each other ❤️

While I heard a loud hooting from my parents who were like...

'Looooove ahaaaan ...when are you making it official' mom teased me
..
While dad pulled my leg saying...
'Come on Sumi...let our boy enjoy... they are young...the only happy thing for me is although my son denied doing MBBS and I was always bothered who will take care of our clinic..
I'm glad that our daughter in law would be a doctor too!!!'

While I literally went pink blushing hard...

I tried dialing Ruhi but her number was not reachable so I called her classmate and took her address and went to her uncle's place with the cake...

I wanted to cut the cake with her

It was an independent house and I saw the gate was locked there was no security guard. So I sneaked in and saw the main door was locked.

I nodded sadly thinking she probably went somewhere else and decided to leave while I heard sound of something being broken ...it probably came from inside the house...

I was alerted.
Is it a robber? Such a lavish house this is...
The house had glass windows and I started looking for a open space to enter in...

Strangely I noticed the backdoor of the house was open.

Guessing the fact that probably robber sneaked in from here...I went into the house...

I didn't see anything irregular...

Although I noticed the kitchen had a crumpled chocolate cake...

Some chocolate sauce fallen on the kitchen platform...

I found that strange...

I continued walking inside and I could see there were things fallen here and there...

Pillows shredded, quilt on floor, a huge vase fallen down which was the noise I heard...

I kept walking towards the corner of the living room and noticed a bedroom door was slightly opened..

I went inside the room and next second my heart was up for a shock 🥺

I saw Ruhi was on bed with someone else...

They were under sheets and here my heart was broken into a billion pieces 💔

The little piece of golden pendant fell from my hand and she came into senses looking at me ...

The guy was also shocked seeing me...

He began shouting at me..

'Hey you...how the hell did you come in... who are you...'

And I literally squeezed the cake into my chest and tears kept rolling out of my eyes and next second I was burning into flames...

I literally began walking outside and on the way threw the cake into the dustbin...

I wasn't in my senses...

I literally broke down on the middle of the road and sat on the footpath crying nonstop.

I was so hurt and upset that I didn't go to college nor to meet Ruhi for next two days ..

While I didn't receive a call or an apoloy from Ruhi...I wanted to discuss this...

Least I deserved was an explanation from her... So I went to her college while I waited for her to come

She saw me and I took her to the Sadhankeri lake to talk!!!

'Do you really need to know what it was...I thought you saw that!!!'

'So you cheated on me huhh???'

'I left you Mahir... Infact I left you long back...you were an idiot who didn't understand...I tried avoiding you...not coming with you on your bike...you should have understood!!!'

'You are everything but not settled Mahir!  Where as Vivek is... He's well settled and responsible... You...you are still waiting for a job... while your parents have so much money that they can help you start an IT company but you want to work under someone.. what a stupidity this is???'

'Its called self respect Ruhi...my parents are rich im not!!!'

'O please Mahir... don't talk to me all these filmy cheesy stuff!! Money is essential Mahir. If I have a rich husband I won't have to struggle to get a sponsorship for higher studies or get a PG seat ... worst case I won't need to work at all...and Vivek is rich AF!!! And his dad is a billionaire... He's not an idiot to refuse his dad's wealth!...so ... please... there's nothing left to talk!
