First of all this not a rant . This is an post to show how much we appreciate and a write up about what all the things our krpkab got it right ...

@Agtubgtigfy asked me to write this..and as an ardent fan of devakshi I got all hyped up and excited..

so here goes...

*************************************************

The first and foremost and the most important thing the writers got it right...was they understood the fact that..A "Drama" with less drama will sell more...

There are stories like
A sloppy story with a worst chemistry and acting performances...and then there are stories where the story is shit but the chemistry of the leads saves it..and also there are also beautiful stories ruined by the actors...and there are a rare stories having both beautiful stories and beautiful chemistry on the screen...

Krpkab belongs to the last category

Plot:

One hardworking business man..who always thinks about his family...falls for a happy go...chirpy..lovable...middle class girl...and when the mother of the business man finds out she gets insecure..and this leads to the differences in the leads of the serial...and there is also a plot where his cousin brother gets involved in the same ..

The fact that I was able tell the whole story of krpkab in such short paragraph, itself is a proof that it is not like another serial with hella lot of sub plots...with so many villains...and so many drama..

Characters:

First of all a big kudos to the writers for writing such a beautiful masterpiece..

Dev:
Ufff!!Where do I start??

He is introduced as a business man who is devoted to his mother and family...we have seen many leads in the same genre...a rich man falling for a middle class girl...we have seen so many of them...but this character stands out...when he emotionally cries for his sister getting separated from him due to her marriage..he stands out..as he expresses his uneasiness and his inability to handle the loss of his lady love to his mother when he comes home all drunk during Sona and ritwik engagement..

He stands out..when he regrets his mistakes..and reads Sona's diary to understand what all she went through with Soha during their seperation..

From breaking up with Sona in the hospital blatantly in the hospital...his character develops and he tells his mum not to interfere in his life..as he can take care of himself... We all saw his character grew...

Sona:

Sonakshi is a middle class nutrionist who loves her family and wanted to live her love story ..same thing goes here...many female leads have been portrayed but Sona stood out...!!

First of all thanks to the writers to sticking to the way they portray her family and continued to portray the same till the end...Varna..in some serials introduction toh hoti hai middle class mein..when in later episodes...the heroine starts to wear heavy jewelries..costly dresses...

Sona upto her point of marriage was dressed in normal clothes and light makeup although they messed up her hairstyle and clothing in last epis... she was still Adorable 🥰🥰

Her character stood out...When she silently loved dev..without doing any plotting , or any cunning things when Natasha was going to get engaged with dev..she cried..cried a lot infact ..but never once in her mind came a thought of harming Natasha to get dev...

Her character again stood out from other leads...when she ferociously entered Dev's cabin to confront him and not to interfere in her life anymore as she is getting engaged to ritwik..I mean in an era of serials where female lead almost forgives each and every nasty thing that a male lead does to her in the name of love ...she stood against dev...

Another incident which differentiates Sona is..during the Soha track...she supports dev...and says she is her father's daughter and she also understand why Soha needs dev...instead of planting wrong ideas in the mind of Soha about dev...she literally did the opposite thing...which I think no female lead has done....

She was always a perfect daughter, a perfect wife and a caring mother...and she never failed to stand up for her.. she even confronted ishwari during the lift after the separation, when dev gets admitted in hospital and also confronts dev..when he tries to blame it on her for keeping Soha out of his life for seven years...

Ishwari:

She is mother of dev...oh man...
You know your writing is good when you make the audience go aww for a character who they literally hated and cursed...

She loves her family and son...a way too much...that creates insecurities in her mind...and this leads to differences between the couple...She agrees to the marriage half hearted..as she cannot see her dev in such a state...but again kudos to writing she also like doesn't stoop low on plotting, trying cheap tricks..it's just the insecurities that were coming out ...but in a nasty way ofcourse...

The best part is the redemption of this character...when she stands on the doorstep of Sona's house and request bijoy not to repeat her mistakes..and pleads Sona to come to dev after separation track...

And from thereon...she is such a cutie pie...the scene where she learns computers...and the scene where she texts I love you to dev...these small nuances made her character better...

Other Characters:

Bijoy and mamiji also had a good redemption episodes where bijoy says to Sona..to go to the dev on the day of his nakli engagement...after separation...and mamiji's talk to Sona at the dining table when Vicky gets kicked out of the house are all endearing...

And needless to say Asha Sona's mother was one of the most understanding and underrated character...the siblings bond were like icing on the cake...

Only thing is Vicky could have got a better redemption....but it's ok....

Subtlety at its best:

The best part of the direction is no part of the story gets dragged...be it romance....the confession scenes...no slow motion..no setup..no flowers..nothing yet still the best in itv history....or the part where dev realises Soha is his daughter...

Subtle romance is the best romance , the proof is krpkab....

In the scene where Sona meets with accident and dev admits her in the hospital....and when she regains her consciousness for a little while...she sees dev..and gets worried for him seeing her blood stain...aap ko kuch hua nahi na dev...she wraps her arms around him...any serial would have inserted some romantic songs ..and some eyelock ...the hero adjusting heroines hair .. something like that...but ...here dev just jerks a little..and explains her the situation...these little things make krpkab much better..

There is no physicality shown between the leads for a long part of the story...their fist hug is only after their beautiful confession..not like other serials where they get close due to circumstances like falling on each other... tripping over the other ..nope...that's just shows how beautiful is their story is...

Actors:
Actors who played like nailed it totally...when devakshi scenes came on screen we could feel them...their love...we travelled their journey with them...when they blushed we blushed..when they got angry we did too...all kudos to the actors for bringing out the emotions...when dev said no...I love you as a man loves a woman....our hearts danced with joy...🥰🥰

Omg I can write about this all day...I am in completely love with this serial...

Ok let's end with a small note..

Kuch rang pyaar ke aise bhi...proved the itv kuch serials aise bhi..hosakte hain which can be close to people's hearts 💕 and people will cherish it...and a serial can be evergreen hit in the minds of people.
