Author's Note: I have recently revised the beginning, so hopefully this is better.

"It's time to go," mom says. I nod, but my feet are still. This is my home. I wanted Willow to grow up here too, use a marker on the same kitchen door frame, have her first sleepover, and camping adventures in the backyard. A new start is what we need though. She can grow up somewhere new, and we'll make our own traditions.

I buckle Willow into her carseat and then fasten my own seatbelt. I lean my head against the window to relax. I wonder if Chloe will come looking for us? No, she left us a few days after Willow was born. She couldn't handle being a parent. My family has been very supportive while I've raised Willow. I loved her so much before she was even born, I could never have left her.

About 2 hours later, we arrived at our new house. I get out to stretch and then unbuckle Willow. "Dada, baba wan nummies," Willow says.

"Dada will get some nummies for you soon," I reply. I grab Willow's diaper bag and we head inside. Mom hired professional movers, so our stuff is already set up. I have my first day of school tomorrow, so thank goodness she thought ahead.

I walk into an open living room and follow the voices. "Honey, I ordered pizza. It should be here in thirty minutes," mom comments.

"Thank you mom," I smile.

Willow and I go figure out which rooms are ours. Mom said they'd be right next to each other. After opening a few doors, I locate Willow's room and then mine.

I lay on my bed with Willow beside me in my arms. My eyes close and I relax.

"Honey, food's here!" mom shouts. I carry Willow down the stairs and we go to the kitchen.

About two hours later, freshly showered with Willow sleeping in her crib next door, I crawl into my bed and let sleep take over.
