HAPPY HALLOWEEN KIDS!!!

argh...

I MADE IT!

I ACTUALLY STARTED A MONTHLY DRAWING CHALLENGE IN OCTOBER AND FINISHED IT! HA!
I FAILED FOR 4 YEARS STRAIGHT BUT YEAR 5?! HECK YEAH!!!!!!

so! as you can presume, I finished the pretty-boytober challenge!
but before i go and talk about the challenge in general, here are the last three boiis >w<

okay! "psychic" was another prompt i was really looking forward to. it's just totally down my lane, ya know?

so when the time came, i had a ton of fun and sketched some ideas together.

well... that was until i realized, that the sketch i made, looked a lot like that lineart dude i made for that contest with the prompt "eye" ...

so i just went ahead and drew him again, keeping those other sketches for future inspiration :)

i was totally on a roll that day, so i continued with the actual prompt for the 30. october: fight.
this also was the first time i started a boy on one day and had to finish him the next... which is actually pretty surprising to me, and i am indeed kinda proud that i managed to get a boy a day done (more or less djhfk)

now, here i was extremely unsure what to draw. i had a ton of ideas, but they were all either too complex or beyond my current artistic skill.
but after wasting a whole while on pinterest, i finally got an idea i was more than happy with!

i basically just drew my oc danny in some dynamic pose, and since i didn't want my parkour-boy to be the only fullbody, i had quite some fun >w<

in the end i actually had a picture i was hella satisfied with! except... well... the weapon.... the thing is actually hella cool and i am really proud of the design of that thing, but from this angle???? fuck no. but hey! that's just how stuff is sometimes QwQ

the grand halloween-finale: "costume"

and holy guacamoly, yall have no clue how long it took me to come up with an idea, and how fast the actual drawing was... like... i wasted hours on the internet, looking for inspiration... just something to spark my interest, that i could work with, you know?

and then... then i found some pictures i saved to my clothing-inspiration board, that i had used for one of my children. after that, everything just went as smoooooth as could be!
essentially the idea was, to draw my character Alan, cosplaying my other character, stormy.

funny enough, this october i actually drew wiz (short for "wizard of minds"), arrow (short for "piercing arrows"), danny (short for "dancing knives") and stormy (short for "storming seas"), without actually planning to draw the male mcs of the gang at all... man they just kinda got the right vibes going, you know?

anyways! so here we have my alien boy with bat-genetics trying to be a pirate from another universe >w<

guys, i still cannot believe how far i came. the completion of such a monthly drawing challenge had been on my goal-list for every year so far, and i can finally say, that i have managed to complete one QwQ

overall, this was so insanely fun to do. i mean... i draw mostly pretty dudes every day anyways, so trying to limit myself with a time and topic was just a fun thing to keep my creative brain working. many of the designs that i created, never would exist, if it weren't for this challenge... to be honest, so many of these designs are so foreign to my usual stuff, it's really nice to get out of the comfort zone, when it comes to character design!

man, it's so odd to be done with this... and that means i also can finally focus on other projects and ideas i've been wanting to start! so... stay tuned for some fun ideas i have for november, including another drawing challenge >w<""

(and yes, i meant the "hand-through-ribcage" way and not the "i-will-make-you-fall-in-love-with-me" way)
