Soooo.... I can't remember if I posted sketchbook spreads sometime this year already, but since this has been my main drawing/doodling place for april, I wanted to start a new chapter organisation thingy, where I post sketchbook stuff!!

So here we have the first batch of Sketchbook 6, from pages 1o1 to 138! 139 to 168 will then be in a later chapter, since I'm only missing 10 pages until I finished it and we can say goodbye to 6 and start number 7 in a different chapter together!
... also, a poll on insta said that they'd like to see a full sketchbook tour with voiceover on youtube, so I wanted to ask if you'd be interested in sth like that as well >w<

the sketchbook I bound myself out of some block of A3 sketching paper,
I use my mildliners for the boxes,
sometmes I colour things with my Winsor&Newton Brushmarkers (dang those things are old.... they don't even exist like that anymore lmao),
and for the actual sketches I either use those black brush pens who's names I keep forgetting (gonna add it as soon as I'm home again haha), or my blue ballpoint pen from bic, that I bought in a pack of 10 for 1 or 2€ ...
Nothing really is fancy, other than my brushmarkers tbh xD

Anyways to kick of 2o21 I made these random doodles on the left, whilst wanting to have the 2o21 into page minimalistic and empty, also planning that I maybe wanna stick a marker drawing of mine in there sometime later, even though I now think that that won't ever happen xD

Next up we have a spread I honestly just hate.... there are a lot of ugly spreads that I'm too unhappy with, to share on other social medias, so all the folks over on my insta still have some new stuff to look forward to in this chapter *awkward fingerguns*
And you can see that I sometimes really don't draw good drawings, since I have the feeling that a lot of artists don't show their "uglier" works on the internet and that can indeed be a bit discouraging for other artists ^-^"

But back to the actual thing. It started of pretty well on the left with a redraw of a REAL old OC of mine, who I desperately wanna redesign and put in my current stories again. At the times he was a knight of the sunlight kingdom in "Sun & Moon", but since I completely reworked that stuff, he'll need a rework as well.

And then we have some attempts at making watercolours work on this paper, before giving up, as well as an ugly portrait and some attempts of me trying to explain cross-hatching as a shading technique to my sister >w<

Oooohh... okay, this is an interesting one, since I drew this during online lessons. Specifically sport, and I was in the mood of drawing some genshin impact characters... didn't come farther than Aether and Xiao, since I just figured that I am crap at converting anime-style characters into my style, whilst having a bad sketching day.
To save Xiao's grace I started a digital version of this sketch, but never ended up finishing it.... probably should do that soon.... hmm...

And then we have another ugly spread! I tried to draw Kaeya on the left, but gave up after drawing nose, mouth and an eye and instead reverted to doodling random dudefaces and having fun....

Oh! That dude on the bottom right is the male version of a friends persona, with a sidecut. Honestly I still kinda like that sketch >w<

Next one was whilst I was bored and at school, whilst procrastinating on a sunday. So I went ahead and binge watched some Emilyena and doodled some of my gods. Honestly, drawing creepy, etheral gods with horns, scars and weird eyes is F U N.

And then I found my ballpoint pens again and switched back to only drawing with those >w<
So then we have a halfbody idea of mortal Huagwy, prior to him becoming god of fear.

And since I had a lot of fun with him, I continued with that concept on the following spread, also experimenting with shading and clothing again with my pens. Also, Huagwy wears a mask now, and I can't decide whether or not he had an absolutely horrid face beneath, or just looks normal and people are simply scared that he looks scary beneath because he never takes it off whilst presenting as a god xD

Next up we have another ugly spread. I tried drawing a girl, but that didn't work, so I just batched a meme-like face on her ^-^""
On the right I experimented with some character ideas and style, but none of those really turned out the way I wanted to.

Revisiting my idea from the portrait on the bottom left of the right page, I then decided to draw him and turn him into an OC! Except, that that didn't work at all, so I used those sketches as victims fo marker experiments.
Two more rough doodles on the right page, with a small reappearance of Ruinîl! Dang.... desperately gotta redraw her properly again ^-^"

AND. THEN. FINALLY. IT. WORKED. You know the dude I used as a marker experiment on the former spread? Yeah I actually managed to draw him how I actually wanted him to look on this spread on the left! The 3/4 portraits still look pretty similar, only really differentiating in the eyes and hair, but THAT FRONT PORTRAIT WAS SO SATISFYING TO SEE, AFTER FUCKING IT UP TWICE BEFORE. (sry for yelling, I'm still just relieved I managed to draw Celegnir how I initially planned haha)

And then on the right I wanted to try drawing Decker and Roque from the game Fantasy Life in my style! Decker came out pretty nice I thing, but.... gosh, I am so terribly sorry for what I did to Roque.... so, so sorry.....

Anyways, here's where my sketches for Arasson started, who was created for Redsys "Design a character and win nothing" challenge. I completely missed the deadline, but I really really love designing characters whilst having some restrictions, so I just had some fun with the concept :D

Also currently working on a digital verion, but that may take a while because I'm lazy ^-^"

3 am. I couldn't sleep. So I crawled out of bed and doodled a random floating island and a flower pot, and went back since I was a lot more tired then.

I also then went ahead and tried to give one of my favourite pair of twins a face, but completely failed.... as in COMPLETELY. (do like the hair on the left dude tho wakdfa)
So they are Swift Arrow and Fiery Bullets, Aro and Bull for short, and are members of the headhunter department of the brotherhood of shadows.
Aro is rather cocky, arrogant and precise. He doesn't like listening to other peple, since "I know best and if I were to agree with you we'd both be wrong", and he isn't a fan of big planning. Instincts are his strongest suit, next to harsh words and a lot of arguing.
Bull on the other hand are more energetic and impulsive. They like making sarcastic and dark jokes, whilst always bearing a huge smile on their face. Whilst their brother would try to go stealth on missions, outsmarting the opponents and taking them down swift and silently, Bull is rather the type of person to run in with a loaded machine gun, and slaughter them all within a few minutes, manically laughing, and causing a huge commotion, which they usually use to give Aro a head start to sneak to their primary goal. They are more or less still a child inside, which gives Aro quite often the feeling that he needs to babysit his sibling.

But the fact that they are awesome doesn't distract from the fact that I drew them terribly.
Oh, and on the far right we have another OC, who's name I can't remember atm aahhh. He's the brother of Arasson.

Coniuing onwards, I was looking through some old sketchbooks of mine, found these doodles I made in sketchbook 1 sometime, and decided to try my hand at a redraw! Honestly it turned out pretty well and I am kinda happy with that elf boii I drew. Still gotta practise girls, but hey.

And then on the right I drew my OC Anthrax, since I asked my folks on instagram what I should draw and a friend of mine missed him ^-^
I'm happy with the front portrait, but........ I'll just stick a sticks note over that other one and redraw it because...... the eye............... that eye just...... argh.....

On the left over here we have Yulik, who's an OC of TerranceWright ..... desperately gotta draw them digitally, argh the design is so cute.

And after that we have the initial planning phase of Tésa! Turned him into a digital piece, so if you want to know more about him check out the "object to person contest" chapter from this month sometime!

Another doodle of Tésa, mainly figuring out his clothing and then..... well..... uh....

Well there was this random character generator thingy and I ended up needing to draw an owl person.... and I suck at it..... but I drew it, look at it, don't look at it, i don't care as long as you don't mention them to me ever o-o"

Ooohhh.... here we have one of my favourite sketches so far on the right! I don't know why, but I just love his design and the contrast on that one. He probably will land in one of my Family Tree projects >w<

Not that big of a fan of the other sketches, even though some elements definetely will be recycled in the future.

Tried drawing young Tésa and then threw some colours on top, and then was like "huh, why not line it and add some other stuffs" and... argh.... just an experiment that didn't go well.... wans't having a good sketching day...

But that dude on the right gives me hefty Cev vibes, which is indeed quite interesting, haha...

AH! FINALLY SOMETHING GOOD AGAIN!

So over here I tested out some stuff in regards of face shape and age, whilst also drawing a girl AND having fun with my markers again. Wouldn't one look at that, eh?

So the dude on the right was more or less a study from another person's drawing, that I changed up a bit. The two in the centre were heavily inspired by some photographs I saw, and some sketches I made on pages 7 and 8 in this sketchbook. And then we have the one on the right.... dunno why I drew him so lightly, but I actually really like the sketch. Maybe it's because that's my weak side of drawing.... yeah, drawing people in 3/4 that are facing right are a huge struggle for me still, but I'm working on it >w<""

Oh wow! Didn't realise that that was it lmao. I hope you guys had fun looking at my creative brain dump... even if some things really don't look good.... * shudders at the thought of that dude on page 132 *

So yeah! I better should go back to studying..... even though I really don't want to...... fuck guys, I wanna draw so bad rn .... QwQ
