Anyways! Heyho kiddos and welcome to the first chapter of what hopefully will be a fun little series :)

Sooo... on the ArtClub discord server, we decided to have an internal little artfight, were the teams "magical sparkle-unicorn" and "flaming power-dragon" fight against one another, through drawing characters from the opposite teams members and getting points for each piece!

And to start it off, I stole Luna from RedsyDevil >:)

Since there were no restrictions for this character, I just had quite some fun with a little genderbend ^-^

Starting of with the pose, I found this real nice unbalanced thing on Pinterest, and was like... "woah, I want them legs"
and tbh it just looked wayyy too unbalanced at the beginning, so I went ahead and made the pose a bit more fun, by making the character somehow interact with their hat.

Next was the lineart, where I kinda went ham on the whole "astronomy witch" thing... hehehe.... also, translating the already awesome design into a more typically masculine outfit was hella fun as well, even though I'm not sure if it really does the original justice :/

The flats were.... rather difficult to be honest.

Redsy did a great job, establishing this extremely minimal, yet coheisive colour palette. I had to change quite some stuff around, to get that belt in there properly, and to make some areas read better.

It was hella fun nonetheless, since the colours in themselves are real great choices :0

And last but not least: the rendering phase.

I rendered the thing, as per usual, but has some extra fun with the light. I am recently experimenting quite a bit with different lighting situations, and how to get some more graphic lights in there, since my rimlights became more of a tool for readability, rather than actual rimlights.

Also added a galaxy background with an abstract-ish moon, too play on Lunas name and mimic the background Reds used for them ^-^

(Also called him Helios, for funsies.... hope ya don't mind, Reds >w<)

(btw... we'll ignore the right shoe, okay? Okay.)

So that was all I did concerning Luna!

But before I end the chapter properly, here's a small warmup I made, using the select tool, a random shape to beginn with, and some graphic lighting and a few ambient shades, to get some dimension in there.
