Oh yeah baby, I did a dtiys challenge again!
And not from anyone... no. My instagram mutual Eni asked for us to draw her OC Neftirit. And since I'm not only in love with all her art anc ocs (like.... just check them out... @/enisocs on instagram.... got the link to it at the bottom of the chapter btw, butjaiorgvjire just do it..)

So where was I? Ah yeah... i love everything she does and Nef is by far one of my favourite characters of her, so you can imagine my excitement when he was the next dtiys victim ^-^

OKAY OKAY OKAY.

I KNOW WE'RE ALL KINDA EXCITED FOR THE DRAWING HERE, BUT PLEASE CONSIDER THIS SLIGHT TRIGGER-WARNING.

NEF HAD SMALLPOCKS, GIVING HIM SOME NICE SCARS. AND WHILST I THINK IT LOOKS SUPER EPIC AND UNIQUE, AS A PERSON WITH TRYPOPHOBIA THIS WAS KINDA TRIGGERING.

IT WASN'T AS BAD AS USUAL, SINCE I DREW IT AND STUFF, BUT FRIENDS OF MINE WITH TRYPOPHOBIA SAID THAT IT TRIGGERED THEM, SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, IF YOU KNOW THAT REPEATED PATTERNS WITH INDENTS TRIGGER YOU, CONSIDER SKIPPING THIS CHAPTER.

Argh, that was awkward... but yeah..... take care folks, I don't want anyone here to be triggered QwQ

I already had a pretty clear image of what I wanted in mind. Nef is a rather arrogant, sadistic, self confident, yet depressed and weirdly intense character, and since he's a noble, I just.....

throne/fancy chair.

Now after this real ugly and messy sketch of mine, I proceeded with the details and lineart!

I had quite a lot of fun with his features, since I usually never draw eyes as droopy as his. I kinda failed on that front, but my style still made it kinda work out, which is why I ain't really complaining over here ^-^

The by far most fun part definetely must've been his scars. I have no clue why, but it was incredibly fun drawing those >w<

Hands. Hands are evil. Very evil. And I just couldn't make them look right for the life of me, which is why I came up with a temporary solution, that ended up being too hilarious to be temporary adghvler

Flat colours were rather simple, since the colour palette is totally in my muted-alley QwQ

So yeah! Didn't even need to change up that much on that front >w<

And then it came to the rendering.... and oh boy. OH BOY. Again, everything was fun and just as usual for me, EXCEPT FOR THEM SCARS. And even though I have trypophobia, I oddly enough had too much fun here, to be triggered akngvkj

I also finally managed to get the hands right, which also meant that I was able to add them and the cane in, before I started to shade things that were covered up in the end anyways :D

Either way, I was almost finished, when I realised that I forgot the crest of Falkenstein on his tunic, and that his skintone is a lot more yellow that pink.
So.... I went back and changed thise things up, also correcting some colours that I picked wrongly and were enhanced by the shading.

And then I added some final overlays and a fancy background and... yeah! That's it!

(oh wait what? you thought that was it? yeah nah, I told you how that hand-solution wasn't temporary >w<)

Hope you liked the drawing and my rendition of Nef! I really am in love with this character, simply because he's so flawed, weird and has this real awesome design.... also he's gay and we all know that queer characters jut make my heart melt (all here for representation!) QwQ

Either way, I had a total blast drawing him and Eni apparently really liked the result, which probably makes me even more happy with this piece.
