Sooo... did you guys enjoy the limited wedding edition of Bronadan? Well here's the band edition, for only 50€! ... bad jokes woop woop!

Either way, I did indeed draw him during his band-phase! And not any drawing, nope, I had an idea that is best explained with the first WIP:

Yeah... I drew him on a cover of DAYDREAM.... the probably most famous music-centred magazine in the south. So the idea was, to draw every band member on the cover of a different journal, with some epic headline in regards to the bands development!

The current plan is the following:

Bronadan - Daydream (Sounds of Utopia - everything you need to know about this band on the rise)
Feredir - Glam&Gossip (Newest tea on the hottest clan the Runewhispers have to offer - hype-statistics and fans opinions on 'Sounds of Utopia')
Aerben - World Today (The future of music? Announcing Sounds of Utopias first continent-wide tour, featuring the Dragon and the Cloud)
Madawn - Life Style Digest (The Stargazer and the Dragon - Exclusive interview with the pioneers of genre-fusion)
Lirion - Alliance Reports (Music and Military - How one can influence the other and the creative horrors of Utopia's music)
Narion - Daydream (End of an Era? - Why Sounds of Utopia is stepping away from the music scene and what the members have planned for their future)

Yeah.... I'm not too sure about some of them, but we'll see how they will turn out once I get around to drawing them. But we're here for Bronadan now so let's talk a bit about the idea and pose.

So I wanted to draw something like posters of the band for ages now, gathering references after references on my pinterest board, not too sure how exactly I'd actually draw them. And then I stumbled over a magazine cover of numéro homme with Silvester Ulv on the cover and I was blown away. I don't know why, but it just gave me this prefect Bronadan-vibe, so I decided to go ahead and sketch something out.

I started of with a pose that was way too similar to my original reference, so I just scrapped that and went with this pose instead, since I love drawing hands in this pose and the band just released their debut-album "Headshot" during the time this issue was published:

After I had the rough pose down I pulled out some sketches I made of Bron whilst I was bored sometime october last year, to use the one in the middle as a main reference.

Also wanna say how proud I have become of my growing confidence in drawing torsos... still struggle a lot with legs, but now when I look back I see all the mistakes I made, and how much better I implemented the upper body into my style >w<

Either way, I used that as reference and continued with the lineart, also having a lot of fun with translating the old drawing into my current style and getting all the details in there. You can imagine how long I avoided the royal tattoos... argh I hate them, but they look so good QwQ

Maybe I'll need to redesign that concept to something more simple.... but they just look too good to kick out, so we'll see how that'll develop, haha.

Anyways... that face was probably the most fun thing I drew in ages.... i don't know, I'm in love with expressions that show teeth nowadays... drawing teeth is my new obsession, since it sorta looks more expressive and I'm sick of drawing everyone with shut mouths, which is something I realised for quite some time now lmao

So after that was done I slapped the flat colours in there, which is always fun, since the picture just somehow comes to life for the first time and the character instantly becomes recognizeable. And you have no clue how difficult it was to figure out where his moles are... that took quite some time xD

And doing his scars is always fun, since I haven't drawn him with them all yet, so I just had to go through the stuff I put him through in order to figure out where the scars go... even though I'm not too sure if Tirith now repared his right arm or not.... but since I didn't want to draw his deformed arm, I just went with this >w<

And then the shading started... again I did my new cell-shading thing and... DANG guys it just makes everything so much easier and faster, and just suits my style so good. Idk, it's just new and fun atm xD

So yeah.... i don't really know what to say at this point to be honest...... I mean Bronadan is one of the characters that are a bit better known... when I get to the other band members (except Feredir ofc) I have quite some backstory to tell n all that but now?
