Okay. I'm writing this chapter at the end of July. I've procrastinated on the unfinished may-chapters for wayy to long now...

SO HENLO MY CHILDREN!!!

Remember how I made some mermay stuff?? Yeah... so I kinda forgot about Maethdess and Feredir, so here they finally are!

Initially, this was only supposed to be a drawing of Feredir, but whilst looking for poses, I realised how awesome it would be, if Dessie wouldn't have her own drawing, but just.... the two.... in one..... bc OTP n stuff....

So I sketched them down and tried to get a nice composition going, both looking fluid, but Maethdess more so, whilst Feredir is a bit stiffer, yet floaty.

When it came to the lines, things got a bit trickier. I managed to get Fers tail down, but his face and torso?? Not so much. I admittedly still am not all too happy about them, but.... pfft.... they ain't bad. Just a bit too stiff >w<

Dessie on the other hand was interesting... at the beginning I didn't want to cover up her chest, since on the one hand, the male merms I drew didn't do that either, and on the other hand because I thought it would throw the balance off a bit, in terms of colour-composition and center of detail.

But since I wanted to make this child-friendly I made an sfw version as well, which is what you'll be seeing in this chapter.

Flats! Since Fer wasn't upside down atm, I decided to start with him first. Colours were pretty simple, standard palette with a lot of green.

Did I regret his tattoos though? Yes..... yes very much..... but they look good, so I probably will stick with them. Gotta love overly complicated, yet awesome designs, right?!

Goal was just more or less to get his and Dessies fin colours to more or less create Cevronds fin colour. And it kinda worked at the beginning, until I went sorta bat shit crazy with a concept I had dagvnske

Either way, I continued with Crooks shading, having wayyy more fun with his fish-parts than would be good for me
Yeah.. i maybe overdid those scales there reijgvowser

Overall the process was very straight forwards though, nothing all too special to say here aidgbnskerfs

Well, after Crook was done, I went ahead, flipped the canvas upside down and worked on Dessie. I love love love her palette for some odd reason... maybe it's just my white/yellow-blue obsession kickin in, but drawing dessie is just always a blast for me.

So... whilst the flats were indeed very uninteresting, literally just the basic stuff, things got more fun when it came to the shading.

Originally I intended to just shade everything like I did with Crook, UNTIL I was in the middle of shading her fin. First my brain told me to give her a fancy black-ish gradient and then I just went ham with galaxy textures, since Dessie is the reincarnation of the goddess of the void after all.

So you all can imagine how hyped I was after finishing Dessie and flipping the thing upside down again. Crook suddenly looked rather boring next to her, so I decided to give him, as reincarnated god of the universe, some fancy galavy stuff as well

Overall I just had wayy too much fun, Dessie looking hella awesome in the end, whilst Crook was a bit... too stiff for me. He kinda just doesn't quote fit the idea I had properly anymore, which made me kinda sad after I realised I just finished the shading.

Nonetheless, I decided to finish the thing with a nice background. To make it look kinda fancy and fit in with the other two pictures of the set, I decided to make a gradient from blue to green, with the same pattern and the usual circle thingy :)

Welp... that's all on terms of mermay that I got for you. Hope you liked the three pieces I made!

Personally I am really damn proud of Ruindir and Cevrond, whilst these two... well they look good and awesome, but not quite as much as the other two, you know?
So yeah...
