"Greetings, Janis."

Janis blinked as she tripped over her own feet. Trembling in fear, Janis was afraid no doubt.

"Who are you?" Janis asked as the magician smirked. "Call me... Bill Cipher," Bill answered as he had his smug grin on.

When Janis heard the name, she was no longer scared. Instead, she was relaxed.

"Bill Cipher?" Janis asked before her eyes widened. "Oh! You must be the famous magician from Gravity Falls!" Janis recalled as Bill nodded.

"Precisely," Bill answered. It was half the truth though.

Despite being a magician, Bill was stalling for the day he would escape from this humanized prison and go back to his magnificent demon form.

"I love your work, though I wish I could your shows in your hometown," Janis said as Bill merely chuckled.

"One day, you will," Bill said as he would tell no more. "Though... Why do you need my necklace?" Janis curiously asked as Bill glanced at the necklace.

Bill was so close.

This girl in front of him was clueless.

Bill could make up some lame excuse and take his prize.

Yet...

That wouldn't be fair.

Bill wanted to see how capable this girl was.

Why this necklace was given to her.

So, Bill merely tossed the necklace back to Janis.

"I just wanted to look at it," Bill said and in a blink of an eye, Bill Cipher was gone.

When Janis looked, Bill was gone but the necklace was in her grasp. This made Janis wonder... What exactly happened?

Nino Lahiffe was walking home, happily pretending to drum to the beat of the song when he spotted a pair nearby.

Placing his headphones off his ears, Nino stealthily began to move when he hid behind the bushes.

There, he found Alya wearing a bright orange ombré dress as she was wearing matching flats. With her brunette hair down, Alya checked her watch.

"What is Alya doing?" Nino asked himself as he made sure to lower his voice.

"Where is he?" Alya asked searching her surroundings as she dreadedly sighed. Alya prepared to leave until she saw a male wearing a black suit.

"I'm sorry for being late. I became loss from time and..." the male trailed off upon seeing Alya's outfit. "You look stunning," the male complimented as Alya lightly blushed.

"Thank you James. You look handsome tonight," Alya said as Nino growled underneath his breath.

James McClain.

Nino despised him.

The hot-shot playboy had his eyes set on Alya Cesairé for three years now. How dare he attempt to swoon his lady?

Alya was HIS!

Not James.

She belonged to him and only him.

That's why when Nino stood up and attempted to stop the two, he was shocked when Alya pulled in to kiss James.

His heart was torn in half.

How could she?

Heartbroken, Nino ran away without Alya or James noticing that Nino was there to began with.

Running home, Nino tried to keep his emotions in focus-range. At the same time, thoughts ran through his head.

How could I have been so blind?

I was foolish.

Alya only used me.

Used.

Hurt.

Betrayed.

I don't deserve her.

I hate love.

I hate myself...

Gasping for air, Nino found that his throat was hoarse. Nino had been yelling his thoughts out loud.

"Roses are red. Violets are blue. My heart is dead. I'm such a fool..." Nino mumbled as tears had began to pour.

Nino decided that in the morning, he would confront Alya about James. It was about time the two cleared the topic about James.

Arriving home late that night, Nino tiptoed his way towards his room after closing the front door. There, he fell asleep with no dreams.

Early morning.

Janis and Bendy were already in the Dupin-Chang's bakery as the two were eating some crepes.

"Nice choice, Angelwings," Janis said as Bendy adjusted his glasses. "Well, I am quite a genius," Bendy answered as he noticed Janis had her necklace on.

"Now, don't let that go through your head," Janis said cheekily as she adjusted her sky blue T-shirt.

Chuckling, Bendy took another bite of his crepe before swallowing.

"Relax, Jana. I only brag when I'm right," Bendy answered as he would occasionly bragged. Rolling her eyes, Janis chewed on another bite from her crepe.

At that moment, the bell chimed as Bendy glanced over. Seeing Janis's crush and school friend, Nathaniël Kurtzberg, Bendy smirked as he glanced at Janis once more.

"Hey, Jana. I see tomato head in the distance," Bendy recalled as Janis coughed and blushed. "Really?" she asked, her voice turning more of a whisper.

"Definitely."

Janis was beyond speechless.

"Why don't you invite him to sit at our table?" Bendy suggested as Janis eyed him.

"I won't embarrass you this time," Bendy added to Janis. "Promise?" Janis asked to which Bendy nodded.

"You better keep that promise too," Janis added before standing up.

In her history of making promises with Bendy, he had been known to break promises. There were times though, that he actually kept his promises to heart.

Now, Janis had spotted Nathaniël paying for his sweets to go when she feebly whispered towards his direction.

Nathaniël turned around holding his sketchbook with a shy smile. "Hey, Jana!" Nathaniël happily greeted as Janis smiled a bit too wide.

"Hey, Nath! Where are you heading?" Janis asked as Nathaniël chuckled. "I was about to head to school since class starts soon," Nathaniël answered as Janis gestured to her table.

"Why don't you sit with Bendy and I? We can walk to school afterwards," Janis suggested as Nathaniël peeked to see Bendy waving at him.

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely."

"Well... If you insist," Nathaniël concluded at last.

Janis then pulled Nathaniël to their table. Smiling, Janis watched as Bendy shook hands with Nathaniël.

Shyly smiling, Nathaniël felt embarrassed and awkward.

He was usually shy when it came to other people besides the ones that Nathaniël accompanied with.

"So... How are your drawings coming?" Janis asked as Nathaniël shyly smiled. "They're actually coming together. What about you, Jana?" Nathaniël asked before eyeing Bendy.

"I-I meant Janis," Nathaniël added before cowering in fear. Janis was confused but Bendy knew why Nathaniël was acting this way.

Nathaniël was scared of Angel Bendy.

"Relax, I call her Jana all the time. It's actually more simpler than Janis," Bendy chimed in as Nathaniël perked up. "R-Really?" Nathaniël asked.

"Yeah, although Bendy's nickname is no better," Janis said as Bendy rolled his eyes. "What's his nickname?" Nathaniël softly asked.

"Angelwings."

Nathaniël then chuckled as Bendy sarcastically laughed.

"When you say it like that, then it sounds dumb," Bendy said as Janis and Nathaniël stopped laughing.

"Oh come on, Bendy. I'm only joking," Janis said softly as Nathaniël nodded. "Besides, Angelwings is a great nickname," Nathaniël chimed in.

With Janis and Nathaniël agreeing, Bendy then smiled as the trio laughed once more.

This time they were all on the same page.

After their breakfast, Bendy watched as Janis and Nathaniël walked to school. With her backpack attached to her back, Janis was ready to go.

Inside the school, Nino had spotted Alya talking to Marinette before Marinette left.

"Hey, Nino!" Alya chimed in when she had stared at Nino. "Hey, Alya," Nino greeted but without his usual state. This time, it came out as dull and lifeless.

"What's wrong babe?" Alya softly asked as Nino flinched at the word 'babe'.

Babe.

A word that used to bring him joy.

A word that used to cheer him up.

A word Nino said with no regrets.

Now...

It brought sorrow.

Heartache.

Memories of the past.

"Don't call me that," Nino said as Alya was shocked and confused. "Okay. Well, listen. I have to talk to you about something," Alya said as Nino bitterly laughed.

"Is this about James? Does he make you happy?" Nino retorted as Alya blinked. Then, she connected the dots.

Nino was there when he witnessed Alya kissing James.

No wonder why Nino was so upset.

"Yes. You see, I wanted to call off this relationship," Alya started as Nino managed to fake a smile. He knew it.

Alya was never into him.

Nino was just a pawn and now, he lost his Queen to James.

"I loved you. I honestly did, but... I don't feel the spark anymore. With James, it's different. He makes me feel like I did when I started dating you," Alya reasoned as Nino nodded.

The fake smile was still in place.

"I understand," was all Nino could say.

What else could he say?

"Really?" Alya asked as Nino nodded in a more confirming matter. "Really," Nino said as Alya hugged him. Unlike the hug with Janis, Nino didn't return the hug.

"Thank you!"

Pulling away, Alya sighed in relief. "I'm glad that I got that off my chest," Alya said as Nino absently nodded. "Of course," Nino plainly said.

"Well, I'll see you in class," Alya said as she gave one last sweet smile at Nino and made her way to Physics.

Throughout the day, Nino faked his way by pretending to be his regular self. No one seemed to know that he was faking his happiness... Except him.

So, when the school day ended, Nino ran through the halls of Collège  Françoise Dupont and outside the stairs.

By the time, Nino made it home, he had broke down in his room.

"I hate James."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"It's akumatizing time!" Hawkmoth cried as Bill laughed.

"Jonas, I choose you!" Hawkmoth added as he took the named butterfly and found that it was already powered by negative energy.

This must be the akuma from last night.

Bill blinked before laughing harder.

"You name your butterflies? Seriously?" Bill asked as he continued laughing.

"Yes. It's not as weird as you think it is," Hawkmoth said as he attempted to defend himself. "Oh yeah, sure," Bill said amusingly as he kept his smug grin.

Rolling his eyes, Hawkmoth moved his akuma towards Nino. "Now, fly my akuma and darken his heart!" Hawkmoth cried as Bill facepalmed.

"You should really switch up your words."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
As Nino began to recover, Nino quickly found himself breaking down once more.

His cries were silent as he didn't want to worry his parents and little brother, Chris.

Holding onto a keychain Alya had given him, Nino had completely bursted.

His heart just couldn't stop grieving.

The akuma slipped its way into Nino's room undetected as it went inside the keychain. Nino lift his head as a purple butterfly outline formed over his head.

Then it vanished.

"Blade, I am Hawkmoth. You have been through a painful rejection by the girl you cared about. I can help you get revenge on Alya and her new boyfriend, James."

Nino growled at the mention of James.

This had interested Hawkmoth as he sensed anger from Nino as well as despair.

Such a interesting combination.

"All I need are Ladybug, Chat Noir and Shifter's miraculouses in exchange for this generous offer," Hawkmoth said as he briefly paused.

"Do we have a deal?" Hawkmoth added after the pause.

Nino knew it was wrong.

Revenge wasn't the answer.

Yet, he wanted Alya to feel his pain. As for James, well Nino wanted him to suffer and burn.

"I accept."

In that moment, Nino was gone. Covered in purple goo, it faintly disappeared as Nino admired his new look.

Wearing a black cloak, his eyes were now a yellow-like shade as his weapon was a life-size version of the keychain.

Only now, it looked like a key.

"Blade shall strike anger and despair to everyone!"

With that said, Blade took off.
