As Ruby, Ren and Nora visited Pyrrha, Qrow was visiting Glynda who was stressed after dealing with the aftermath of the invasion.

"How are you doing?" Qrow asked.

"I could be better. So any word on who Ozpin's next vessel is?" Glynda said.

"No. I was pretty much standing by Ruby's side after this." Qrow said before he noticed Glynda's glare.

"I couldn't abandon her...not after her teammates split and one of her friends was taken away." Qrow said.

"Sorry for that. Just dealing with this is giving me added stress. Especially when we have to notify all of the family's that their child is lost or deceased." Glynda said.

"It's understandable. No one saw this coming. But we shouldn't give up right now...we still have time to turn this entire thing around." Qrow said making Glynda deadpan at him causing him to freeze with a surprised expression on his face.

"Why are you giving me that expression?" Qrow asked.

"Have you been drinking?" Glynda said.

"I've always drinking. But that besides the point...we need to hurry up and plan our next course of action. Especially if we want to see that kid again in one piece." Qrow said. Glynda nodded and went back to work...she couldn't stop now. Since so many future huntsman and huntresses need her guidance...but she was most worried about Jaune. Salem could be doing anything to her student and she depended on Qrow and Teams RWBY and (J)NPR to stop her.

Meanwhile...Jaune was struggling to get out of Jack's hold. He didn't know what he had planned for him, but he knew that it would be extremely bad for him. However..he couldn't make him stop carrying him no matter how much he bit, scratched, punched, and kicked him. When Jack finally stopped...Jaune noticed a bottomless bit filled with some type of black substance. 

Are you ready to become like me?

"I will never become like you!!" Jaune said before Jack lifted him up and dropped him in. As Jaune struggled for a way to escape...he felt himself go deeper and deeper in the pit and felt his humanity slip away. He knew that this was just the beginning of his suffering and hoped that his friends will save him.

However as time goes on...he would find that his hopes were pointless and by the time that they find him again...it would be too late.
