Smokepaw lowered her belly to the ground. She leaped at the rabbit, claws extended. She landed on the rabbit, delivering a killing bite to the neck. She smiled, satisfaction surging through her pelt. She may have been a kittypet before, but the time she spent with Onestar had gave her a huge boost to her learning. She heard rustling in the bushes, and a foul scent engulfed her. Dread was prickling in her stomach as she dropped the rabbit and unsheathes her claws. A brown tabby tom leaped out of the bushes, his amber eyes glowing with menace. "Tigerstar." She whispered. Tales of the cat who slayed Firestar were told to the newest kits in the nursury. "Hello Smokepaw. Kindly hand over that rabbit and nobody gets hurt." Smokepaw backed away, only to bump right into a blue eyes brown tabby tom. "Hawkfrost." Fury and fear tingled throughout Smokepaw's body as Mapleshade and Brokenstar surrounded her. "You can give us the rabbit." A black tom called. "Breezepelt." Smokepaw growled, fury coursing through her veins as she recognized the cat who killed Onestar. Yowling, she tackled Breezepelt, slashing her claws across his belly. She felt someone clinging onto her tail. Without stopping to deal with the cat behind her, she delivered a weak kick behind her. Tigerstar tackled her, his teeth bared. "Once a kittypet, always a kittypet." Tigerstar snarled. "Ready to die?" Smokepaw closed her eyes, preparing for the end. Suddenly, the weight was lifted off of her. She saw a strong fire- colored tom wrestling with Tigerstar. "Firestar!" Smokepaw gasped. More cats poured out into the opening- Smokepaw recognized most of them from her dreams- but she was only looking for one cat. "Onestar!" Smokepaw shouted. Onestar threw Breezepelt into a tree, staring at Smokepaw in astonishment. "Smoke?" He asked. Smokepaw nodded. "Onestar!" Smoke recognized Brambeclaw, the deputy of ThunderClan at the time before it had fallen. Tigerstar struggled to his feet and tackled Onestar. "You and you StarClan Clanmates will pay, Onestar!" Onestar snarled and licked Tigerstar off of him. Dovewing dropped from the trees and knocked Tigerstar off his feet. As Tigerstar called for retreat, Onestar looked at Smokepaw. "Your time is soon, Smokepaw. The strongest of the Three has left, and to restore what has gone he must reverse what he has done. Carry this message on to Mistystar and Lionblaze. Go before the Clans existed and reverse what he has done wrong." Smokepaw stares at Onestar in awe as he faded away.
