H- Habit

Jason would never admit it, but he absolutely loved Percy's soft spot for dogs. Though he was worried that one day he was going to get some type of disease from petting random dogs on the street, he also admired his dire need to feed and water the poor things without homes.

For Percy, it was just a habit to help any and every stray he came across, and to pet (with permission, of course,) any dogs he saw that had a leash. It was just who he was at this point.

He often had to be dragged away by his friends when he came across a stray because he never wanted to leave the poor thing alone. And it was honestly a wonder he hadn't taken them all in. If he couldn't take them home, he would give them over to a trusted place so they could be adopted into a loving family.

But one night, however, when he was desperately running through the rain to try and get home, he couldn't help but hear a small, scared yap. He stopped, despite the rain, and walked towards the sound. And sure enough, there was a tiny, light brown puppy, shaking from either the cold or fear, Percy wasn't sure. Either way, he bent down and picked up the puppy, lifting up one side of his zip-up jacket and hiding the dog's body with it.

That night, Jason wasn't very surprised to see the soaking wet dog running around.
