Call it cliche and annoying, but Jason enjoyed hanging out with mostly the other football players. He had friends who didn't play sports, but with the football players, he felt like he knew them better. To be fair, they were together months before school started to practice. Thus, he got to know them before anyone else, and he had more time to create a friendship with them before school started.

It was also the same with other sports that started early. They practiced at the same school, after all, and shared the same locker rooms.

It was especially easy to talk to the swim captain, Percy. Jason found that he had actually had an easier time establishing a friendship with him than anyone else.

He wasn't really surprised when they ended up hanging out with each other outside of school, whether it was just to be with one another or to study with each other.

He liked Percy, he soon realized. And he had the brilliant realization when they were studying one day.

And he really couldn't help but cut Percy off with a small kiss.
