i'm clinging to a single thread

a thread that threatens to let me fall

it sways and creaks

telling me my time is near

when the last thread breaks

I will fall

I pleaded I begged

but the thread showed no mercy

no signs of strength

as time ticks on, the thread wears out

soon it will snap

and we will fall
