"Whats that bag?" Neil asked Avni when she came home from work the following day. "Oh it's a little doll. Misti mentioned about how 'He' broke all her favorite dolls. So I thought I'd bring one, to lighten up her mood." Avni replied in a joyous tone and left in search of Misti. Neil secretly followed her, wanting to witness how Misti reacts. Avni smiled to herself and checked on the doll before opening the door. She was just about to enter, when Juhi came out of the room. Avni could hear Misti crying from inside. "What happened to Misti? Why is she crying?" Neil just reached there when Juhi stormed at Avni. "That's non of your business. She's my daughter. If she doesn't listen to me, then I will punish her. And who are you to interfere? All these things happening between us mother and daughter, is all because of you! You have been trying to keep Misti away from me. You have spoiled her mind, with hatred for me." Avni tried to defend. "Juhi I understand.." "Oh shut up! What will you understand?! You aren't even a mother! Look, I'm warning you again. Stay away from my daughter, or you'll see the worse of me! Stop trying to make her yours, because I have not yet done any such things regarding Neil. And never underestimate what I can do. In a few days, Neil would be mine. And you won't be able to do anything about it!" With that she slammed the door on Avni's face. Avni was so shocked, tears rolling down her cheeks. She never had any such intentions. She'd never even wanted that to happen. The last two lines of Juhi replayed on her mind. Avni trembled with fear. She is now confident that Juhi could go to any extent to reach Neil. On the other end, Neil could not believe what he saw or heard! This was a new side of Juhi revealed to him today. He now understood why Avni always silences herself in the presence of Juhi. His heart softened with pity, for his own wife, because of the hurtful act of the mother of his own kid. But Avni is doing so much for his little Misti, and he would never let her get weak!

After dinner Neil waited for Avni to come upstairs. He peeked down from the corridor balcony when she didn't show up. Avni was sitting on a couch all alone, Neil was sure all the others have gone to bed cuz most of the lights were off. Just when he called out, they heard Misti's voice from the other room. Avni rushed to go but stopped after few steps. Maybe Juhi's words hindered her thought. Neil felt really bad, Juhi will see his face, for the first thing in the morning! Just then Avni climbed up the stairs, she gave a smile to Neil and turned to enter the room. Neil held her hands and made her face towards him. "I saw everything" He Exclaimed. Avni tensed up with his words, "saw what?" "What happened this evening and your reaction just now." Avni quickly replied. "Oh it's nothing. Juhi is a bit upset, because of misti's behavior. We all know what she has gone through. A child like her needs some strict rules sometimes. I told you she's becoming very mischievous." Avni freed her hand from Neil's, now taking up everything scattered around the room, putting them in order. Neil is sometimes worse than a kid, who have all his belongings all over the room. Neil could not bear it anymore. He held Avni's shoulders tightly and made her face him. "Why are you trying to hide everything from me? I witnessed them with my own eyes! I kept on asking you, trying to find out what was wrong. But you didn't wanted to disclose it to me. Why? Do not say it's because You don't want me to confront Juhi. Cuz I clearly mentioned that Juhi does not hold any value in my life now, except the fact that she is the mother of a child of mine. There's nothing more!!" Neil was dealing with mixed emotions. He was sad that Avni was lectured by Juhi, mad because Juhi did it that way and hurt..hurt because Avni didn't share it with him, despite his repeated attempt. He didn't realize how tightly he was holding Avni. "I thought whatever happened between us, there's no more boundaries that will keep us distant. But no.. now I know that you don't have the same perspective. And maybe.. you don't trust me at all.." With that said, he stormed out of the room. Avni was speechless, frozen in her posture. What did just happened? She thought she was the one who should be hurt and upset because of everything wrong is happening to her! She kept everything from Neil because she didn't wanted it to become an issue. She does not want Juhi to be outset from the house because Misti is need of her. She didn't want to share it with Neil because she could see how upset he was! But he didn't understand her perspective. Fine, now she won't let go of her ego either. Whatever she did, was for the betterment of everyone and she won't be sorry about it. Avni wiped her cheeks, in the grief that Neil failed to understand her. But She won't let everything to happen just according to Neil's will either.
