The Gods had been watching over the world for many centuries. Their role was to govern over the laws of nature- be it the land, sea, or air. However, the creation of humans gave rise for newer laws of the world- more roles and gods. I myself am one of these "newer Gods" governing over the humans. As a guide and ruler, it was only natural that I would show them the way to Heaven or Hell. A utopia for the good and a dystopia for the wicked. However, as humanity evolved, their strength and gravity upon the world increased. As one of the Gods governing humanity, my strength had also increased dramatically. At some point, my own powers exceeded the majority of the "older Gods" who had been around since the creation of the world, but all seemed to be fine. The role of the Gods was to rule over the humans. Nothing more, nothing less.

This is Heaven- a place that every human longs for. To be granted this glorious gift, a human must receive approval from a God as acceptance. Now for me, Today was my day to admit some of the worthy souls into paradise. I made my way towards the honorary throne, but along the way, a beautiful Goddess steps in front of me. She bows to me and offered her hand. In return, I bowed down and kissed it, a symbol of respect towards one another.

"Morning to you, Miss," I spoke softly.

"Morning to you too~" she returned her greeting,

"What brings you out here on this beautiful day to the honorary throne? I assume you didn't fly over here to pay your respect," I joked.

"Of course not, I came for you~ I needed your help! I heard there is a uproar in the Eastern Plaza of the Sun! They are calling for you asking for your assistance," she said with a worried expression.

After hearing those words, I immediately rushed over to the plaza.

"Is it the twin brothers, again? This is the third time this week!"

When arriving at the Eastern Plaza I noticed something was strange. An unusual presence was felt. Like something or someone was lurking around- a malevolent intent was in the air. But without giving it a second thought, I looked around to see where the uproar was coming from. Suddenly, without warning, a blinding flash of light filled the area; causing me to cover my eyes with my sleeves. Then again, another flash of light appeared, but this time, it was aimed at me! My body was sent flying back into a wall as I could barely comprehend what had happened. The sudden assault left me powerless, and in the next instant, I realized I was being bound to the wall by some powerful golden chains. The force was too much to bare, and the shock left me paralyzed.

"Heh? Is this your limit? I thought you were stronger than this! You know, you're making this too easy for me... I thought you might pull up a fight for two. This is just sad. I worked so hard to take you down, but isn't this just wrong?"

A series of complaints was heard through all the smoke. A mocking voice that I will never forget.

"Wh-Why?! I thought you were banished! Why are you here?!" My anger was out of control.

"Why you ask? Clearly you haven't noticed. All the Gods fear you, they are so afraid of that power of yours! They are so worried that you might even destroy this lovely Heaven of theirs. So, they brought me back. All. Because. Of. You!" He walks closer to me, his viscous eyes seemed to pierce through my soul.

Behind him, a number of other figures appeared and circled around my helpless body. Each of them looked at me with disgust, hatred, and envy. Some of them mocked my helplessness as they stared at the golden chains binding me. Others verbally insulted me; claiming that I was an arrogant, young God who could only rule over the most pathetic of beasts. Among them, I noticed a certain, familiar Goddess standing amongst the crowd.

At first I was shocked, but I began to accept the facts.

"You were part of this too?" I asked pathetically.

"Of course! It was incredible to watch you leave in haste- only to fall into our trap so easily!" exclaimed the Goddess.

The divine beings surrounding me eventually formed a line facing me. Each one of them extended their hands and focused upon my bounded self. In an instant, I felt the power within me slowly get sucked out and dispersed among the other Gods. I see... They planned on dividing my divinity among themselves in order to become stronger. My consciousness started to fade, but my mind was still working. Think! How could I escape this mess! I gathered the remaining bits of power I had within me and released it directly at the chains. Fortunately, my rash decision managed to break the chains ever so slightly and freed me from my dilema. However, I could barely stand after pulling off that performance. Most of my energy was used to break free while my divinity was already diminished by the numerous Gods around me. Each one of them before me was now an enemy.

"Incredible! I didn't think you would break the chains, but what will you do now?"

The mocking voice from earlier called out to me. My next actions were completely obvious. I was out numbered. No one was on my side. I was weak now. The only choice would be to escape.

"I swear that I will return and bring an end to this treachery!" I yelled out in pure vexation. At this point, I could only use up the rest of my divinity in order to escape the Heavens and the other Gods. A massive red light was emitted from my body as I harnessed the remnants of my powers for one, final gambit.

"Quickly! Finish him before he gets away!"

"Too late!" I unleashed everything I had and began to fall downwards as a result of throwing away my divinity in order to flee. The opposing Gods were pushed back by the force and could not move as I fell through the skies. At this rate, I would descend to the human realm and forget my identity as a God. Moreover, I would be severely weakened and prone to being eliminated by the other Gods. I clenched my fists tightly. Never would I have thought that I would be betrayed by my brethren just for having too much strength. It wasn't even my intention to become strong in the first place. All I did was guide humanity towards the right path. As a result, they grew stronger and created more tools, weapons, and other intricate innovations. That's where my power comes from.

However, as I'm falling, I won't be able to remember this. Most likely, upon landing in the human realm, I will forget who I am. My memories and mettle will be put to the test while the other Gods will attempt to hunt me down. I swore vengeance, but I doubt I could do that as a Fallen God. At most, I'll be a capable sorcerer of sorts who will merely scratch the skin of a God. Perhaps this would be the end of me.

I broke through multiple layers of clouds as I descended. At some point, I managed to see the signs of human civilization in the distance. This was the ending and the beginning. My time as a prideful God of the Heavens has most likely come to an end. My journey to retrieve my divinity and achieve vengeance has only begun.
