Finding Out My Life

I was moving to a new town. My grandparents have been dead for over 9 years now, so I figured I would go see their house. Maybe there I could find out about my life. Until now, I'd never really realized that my mother didn't tell me a lot about my history. It was mainly about how I was born, and of course you already know that story. As I walked inside, the house smelt of old mothballs and urine. I figured after I settle in I would buy some Lysol. Yep that's right. I was officially living in Philadelphia. Not Louisiana. There were a bunch of cobwebs in each corner of the dirt stained ceiling. "AH!!" I screamed as i saw a mouse come from under the torn couch.

"I cannot live in this dump. I'll have to start working tomorrow. Maybe I'll stay in a hotel tonight." I thought to myself. I opened up my phone and searched on google: Hotels near me. I found a few, but one of them looked the best. It was called: The Bellevue Hotel. I saw it's ratings, and overall it was good, so I figured I'd use it. I called the Hotel phone number and they answered:

Hotel Manager: Hello, my name is Suzy!! How can I help you tonight?

Nicci: Hello, I was wondering if you had a room available right now? I know it's late but I..*explains whole situation*

Suzy: No, no need to explain! I have one room available, so I can hold it for you!

Nicci: Thank you so much! I'll be there soon!

I looked online to see where they were located, and got the address. I still hadn't passed my driver's test yet, but my grandparents left their car in their garage. I figure I would have to try and make sure it worked, or I could just take a taxi. From all the stress I was going through, I just needed some time to drive, think, and drink. I stopped by the store to get me some sweet tea, I still loved my homemade recipe, but the Arizona brand is okay too. I drove faster..and faster.. and then stopped at the blinking red light. When it blinked a bright green, I started driving and got my foot off the brake.

A few minutes later, I had finally made it to the Hotel and thought I saw Suzy at the front on the phone. It seemed like she was irritated with the unsatisfied customer. So..I cut in line and walked right in front of the old, grumpy man. I said to him, "Look, she works hard at night, I'm supposing daytime too. But  you should be more patient. Your days are limited, so don't waste them okay? I just had a horrible day- so I don't have time to see a old, grumpy man getting frustrated and angry with someone who is taking the time out of their day to help and assist you." and I said that with straight confidence.

"Well young lady, I apologize, guess I wasn't thinking. Suzy, I'm sorry for causing so much trouble. I know you're trying. I can come by later, and great work. Thank you young lady, for standing up to me." the grump, now nice, man said.

I nodded and whispered, "it's fine" and he walked away. Suzy thanked me, and I signed into my credit card account so I could pay for a few nights to stay here. I walked forward thinking about everything that's  ever happened in my life. I took the room card, and went inside the elevator. I pushed the number 3 with my index finger and the little bell in the elevator rang. As I walked forward, I saw this employee. It was a male. And he came in with someone else. They shared a kiss. And I knew by then..I was jealous..I was finding out my life.
