     Chapter-13

I despise the men of my age! I despise them. I kept thinking back in my mind and rephrasing all the things. How easy it is for them to behave like this?

I still remember when I benefited Neel;  his reaction was, like,  there is nothing to benefit him or he couldn't get benefit from me.

Ha! He didn't dare to acknowledge my presence, neither did he attempt to inquire me how I struggled to manage all the aspects alone, only what he was wondering was where was the girl whom he was using?

Are we, girls are left to be used only? I don't think I ever wanted to be used by someone!

And the second thing is I don't have the guts to get into a rivalry like these rich people they can afford it but I can't.

In the back when I was in the car, Sam Hudson was continually trying to flirt with me. But my mind was not in the right place at that time he could have sensed it from my facial expressions. But no! He kept ranting about his achievements how at one time all the girls were idolizing him.

However, I could sense that he was astonished at the thought that I was not interested in listening to whatever he had to explain, though at some point what got me taken aback when he was ranting how Neel has become the limelight for all the girls.

Then he commenced conversing about some of their embarrassing incidents-how he and Neel troubled everyone for the sake of fun and there was a time when Sarah, Neel and he were the most famous ones of the senior year.

when I couldn't restrain myself,  "when did you meet him first?" I asked bored-looking outside the window, the distance has evolved me to its power.

"To whom?" He looked at me again with his cheeky smile. He was a smart the good looking guy but there is something more in those eyes behind the bars which he is not showing!

"To Neel?" I raised my eyebrows suspiciously.

"He came here three years ago and somehow we collided with each other like we were born to become friends!"
That's mean, Three years ago when  I left Mumbai, he left India. 

What could be the reason? I thought in my mind what could be the reason for him???

"His parents used to live here and he was residing in your country with his uncle. He was missing them too much that's why he came here,  " I could see a glint of memories in his eyes.

Without thinking I pouted in a thought. I was trying to adjust all the information in my mind when he stopped talking then I noticed him. He was looking at my lips!

Crap!!!

The tension was immense from his side. And I don't want to do anything, I've enough problems already to solve.

"Can you please just drive fast?"  I  politely asked him.

He directed his gaze to the left side and then we never spoke again.

The next day was as young as my heart attached with full of sorrow. I don't know how am I going to complete the project with him. he was still nowhere to be seen; in the hope to start my project and not giving up on my scholarship I searched him everywhere then when I lost all hope I  thought to start it on my own. It would be better if I do it on my own I don't need his support, I will submit my project for myself and Tell the Professor that he was lost somewhere that's why I didn't get a chance to work with him!

That's it!

When I reached the library, I went to the section of books to find something up from all the shelves I was trying to find something better, something extraordinary for my project when I sensed A figure was hovering over me!

I could sense it was him! I never stopped searching for books and he never said a word but when I was about to get up he cleared his throat, " I think we should make a deal!"
His dark eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes were bright. I could see the cut on his lower lip and his ribbed cheeks were hard to not look at.
"What do you mean by the deal?" I perked up at his eyes.

If he is thinking that I would get scared of him then he is wrong! I am done with him!
With a thud, my back was on the shelves side.

He placed his left hand on my left side and placed his right hand on my right side then caged me so I couldn't run!

How dare he!

Don't he have no regret how he has been treating me?

"Leave me alone!" I  peeked into his eyes.

" will you first listen to me?" His words were as hard as his eyes. Why was he creating such a scene in here? What deal does he want!

"I am listening!" To get over this I need to listen to him.

"My parents want to thank you, They invited you for the dinner. I advised them that you don't like people conversing with you and you would not come, but they didn't give attention to me when I had no choice left I reckoned to invite you. My father would be delighted and we could work there for our project."

"What???" I opened my mouth, I couldn't believe it in my ears.
"I will drop you at your hostel if you are wondering about getting late!" His jaw was clenched then he walked away without listening to my answer.
What a turn of events!!!!!!

What does he even think of himself by his declaring that  I will follow him???  Alisha was contemplating over her cell- phone, she was constantly looking at it. When I asked her what occurred she tried to avoid my question.

I saw Tony again in the fields. maybe I should restrain him so I altered my direction but he came galloping back to me.

"Wait, Julia listen?" He was breathing hard, his heart must be beating fast!

"Yes, Tony what do you have to assert now?" I asked him furiously, because of him I am popular in this university; a total shame for me.

"I am sorry!"

"Sorry for what??"

Yes, he is sorry for what? For ruining my image, or making me feel like an alien in this university.

"For gifting your bikini, it was just  a prank!' His eyes were plain; plain enough to let me know that he didn't mean it!

But to end this conversation I nodded at him.

I don't know but there is something mysterious about him! From his presence to his aroma everything is ballistic!

His dark eyes always try to catch your soul until you don't glance at him.
Moreover, I saw him with Sarah they were chuckling hard at something but as always I dismissed them.

I had collected all my stuff and went to the fields of the university where everything was fresh and green. This area always warms up, From its soothing silence to its beauty, I love this area more than anything else.

Now, as the time enacted, other students similarly started coming here. To clear their mind about life. What it has provided them? And what is left to be looked at?

Alisha came grinning at me, well at least, she is in a promising manner than before. Sometimes I believe that maybe this life isn't bad? I might have anticipated the wrong conclusions?

I saw the sky changing its colour again from blue to pink. I adore how they can change their colours the way they want. I adore how the sky looks never-ending just like my dreams. Everything about it just gives me hope every time I glimpse at it.

"you love staring at the sky, don't you?"  She must have noticed this.

"Yes. I adore its freedom,  "

Then we discussed the professors and giggled again.

"See. Alisha, look what Neel has given me!"

A girl came out of nowhere and tried to converse with her while ignoring my presence as I am an alien to her.

Maybe it is about my clothes, I thought!

"What?" She was redheaded. I have seen her quite a few times.

She displayed some red roses to her.
I made an ooh sound from my mouth. It naturally came I didn't anticipate it.

"Good for you Serena!" So her name is Serena."

"You don't see pleased Julia! Are  you jealous that you would not ever receive bouquets for yourself from a boy?" She sceptically aroused her eyebrows as she was challenging me to declare something.

She might be rich and I might be poor but at least I am not foolish like her!

"Yes! I am envious of you and of so many girls whom Neel has given gifts in the university!"

That girl, you should look at her face, she was glancing like a Deep red tomato but what I didn't anticipate from her was to threw that flower and run away hiding her face.

"Ouch! That was harsh you know but I loved it!" She winked at me.

When I was on my way to return to the hostel from my job. I saw a huge black Audi car blocking me to go to the bus stand.

I was astonished at its beauty but I never realised that did it come for me?

how could it come for me? I was lost in my thoughts, reckoning hard of all the aspects when a hand-pulled me inside.

"What the hell!!!!"  

"Shut up, my parents are waiting for you!"
