Crosshair goes missing during a mission that wipes out his entire squad, so the Empire marks his status as KIA because there's no one left alive from his squad to confirm that he lives (spoiler alert: he killed them).

Halfway across the galaxy, Tech somehow manages to gain access to a few Imperial files on certain troopers in the system. He comes across Crosshair's file and sees KIA typed in bold letters across his photo. Now he's faced with the task of breaking the news to the others.

Meanwhile, Crosshair assumes the identity of a bounty hunter and tries to track down the Batch in order to rejoin them.
