"Parag, now you can let go of her. She's not eloping with her lover. Or wait... Do you fear that she's gonna do just that once again? Aahhh..haaaaahaaahaa..." Everything was going well until bua ji joked (as she prefer to say) and laughed at her own words.

I can see papa glaring at his sister who just waved it off.

"Can't you speak good things for once?" Dadi reprimanded her but it doesn't looks like she's affected even a bit.

Hence proved,
Nothing changed at all
The whole family is the same including bua ji.
Still so bitter.
I tried to Shake my thoughts.
I came back after years and now I don't want to ruin anyone's mood including mine.

Everyone looks happy.
But still there's a void.
Whole family is here except him .
And I totally get it, why would he want to see me?
He must be really busy with his work and maybe got a beautiful girlfriend.
Suits him. He always wanted to be the best.
I am happy for him.
Atleast one of us got their happiness.

I can't see Aditi here. I remember she came back after I left. Where is she?
I wanted to ask but decided against it cause It's just one hour back I came I don't want to bombard them with questions when they are Kind enough to not question me at all.

Aunty told me to go and rest. Jennie left for her room already. She said she is jet lagged.
Poor girl just wants to avoid dadi's wrath.
But she's scared to even say that.

I was walking towards my room when I came across a specific room I forgot is on the way to my room.

It's almost the same but somewhere more dark.
He was never a sunshine but he always made me feel happy.
I wonder what changed?

I step ahead and reached my room when I pushed the door I was shocked? Surprised? Or I think I felt just nothing.
Maybe the last one.

It was not my room anymore.
The room was beautifully decorated, aditi's pictures were hanging on the walls. The princess of behel's.

That's when I heard someone huffing behind me.
I turned to see pallu di struggling to breathe.

"What happened di? Did you ran a marathon?" I offered he a bottle of water from my hand bag.

"Sorry Pooja nobody told you this before and that's why mom sent me here to guide you to your room" she was not looking at me in my eyes.

Oh my innocent sister. She thinks I'll feel bad about it.
But she's yet to know that I left getting sad over silly things long ago.

"Sure, let's go. I am excited" we went back and stopped just beside his room?

No way I am staying here.

"Here , this is your room. Bhai has designed it himself when he told us that you are coming back. You know everyone was so excited that we all wanted to help but you know him na? He didn't even let us enter till it was completed and we were allowed inside only to get your wardrobe ready" pallu di puffed her cheeks at the end of her complain.
She's so cute 🥰.

The moment I stepped inside I was in aww
The room looked like it belongs to a princess.
It's so beautiful.
My heart swelled with a warm feeling.
No one can ever love me the way my brother loves me.

Pallu di told me to rest and left.

I should stop thinking too much and just rest otherwise I won't be able to attend the meeting with Jennie tomorrow.
Yesssssss
She's taking me along.
Emotional blackmail you know.

************

It's time for dinner and everyone is settled on the dining table.
The dishes looks so tasty and they are my favorites.
One of the best thing about family is homecooked food.

A took the first bite and moaned in happiness.
Nothing can beat Indian spices.

I felt really happy that dhara aunty was happy to have me home but I don't want to stay here.

We have a home in the same city.
A home my father built, a home where I spent my childhood. I want to stay there.
So, even though I don't wanted to I still asked

"Dad, when will we leave for our home?" The moment those words left my mouth everyone was looking at me with wide eyes.

But before dad could respond I heard the most awaited voice. I really wanted to meet her.

"What the hell mom?" There she is .
Aditi Behel.

Anger on her nose
Head high with pride
Walking elegantly.
A walking talking dream of boys.

That's what I've heard about her and trust me she looks just like exactly like that.

"What the hell is she doing here mom?" She pointed a finger at me and that's when I realised her anger is pointed towards me.

Oh good lord.

Are we going to have a cat fight at home?
No please.

I have enough in my plate but she looked pissed.
What have I done to make her upset?
I don't remember coming across her ever, let alone offending her.

But I know one thing I am not gonna take any shits about me.

****************************************
