EDIT: TW BLOOD/INJURY

Robin spluttered and wheezed as he tried to catch his breath. That's what he had to concentrate on. It was a bad idea to go on a lone mission without any hope of back up but hey, he was great at bad ideas. He had been a small patrol around the outskirts of Happy Harbour due to a feeling of homesickness he couldn't put aside. It had been there for months now and he thought as long as he stayed vigilant he'd be fine. That was a lie. Robin had only been there for a few hours and had gotten in big trouble. Maybe he wasn't concentrating. Maybe seeing the mountain whilst being chased by androids had distracted him. Distracted him enough to stop and get almost beaten to death by them. He had regained concentration before it had been too late and he was able to fight them off...barely.

There were eerily familiar voices he could hear a few feet behind him. They sounded like the team he'd once been apart of until he left. Robin turned but passed out in someone's arms before he could catch a glimpse.

Moments before

"Wally get your ass over here! This guy looks like Robin!" Artemis yelled as she watched a boy run away from androids. "It does look like him," Wally replied, glancing at the figure. Then the figure stopped and stared at the mountain. He looked in slight shock about seeing it and...hurt? "Who is that guy?" Kaldur commented. He, M'gann and Connor had been intrigued to see this boy and had arrived as he was staring. "Looks like Robin," Wally said, absently.

"That's because it is!" M'gann exclaimed, running off towards him.

"M'gann it's-" Wally was interrupted by yells of pain that he knew belonged to Robin. "Shit that is Rob!" he finished. They could now see him being beaten by the androids and jumped into action.

By the time they got there, Robin had destroyed them but he looked messed up. "Robin!" M'gann screamed. He turned, a confused look on his face, but passed out before uttering a single word. "Robin!" M'gann repeated, catching him quickly.

"Calm down, he just fainted. I think." Wally commented. "What was he doing here?"

"We have no time for questions, let's get him back to the cave," Kaldur announced, picking Robin up. He was still fairly light. "Should we tell Batman? The League?" M'gann asked, floating beside Robin closely. "No Bat," the teen mumbled. "No League," he added, curling up further. "Rob, we need someone to call. You can't make it back to wherever you came from in this state," Wally insisted.  "Teen Titans call," Robin slurred. He returned to being limp.

"Teen Titans?" Connor questioned.

"I haven't seen Robin for hours! He left for no reason and I have reports he needs to go over!" Cyborg ranted, storming into the living room. He looked worried with the amount of sweat dropping from his forehead. "He's probably on patrol," Raven replied.

"Friend Raven he is not! I have checked all over! What if Slade got him again?" Starfire exclaimed, running in. She was on the verge of tears and clasping her hands tightly. So tight that she could break her hands if she went any tighter. "Slade has not got him again because Slade is dead. All we need to do is-"

"Guys! These people from Young Justice are wanting access to the Tower! They say they have Robin and are in a ship over us now!" Beast Boy interrupted.

"There, he's fine." Raven stated. She stood up and walked over to a panel of communication equipment. She quickly made contact with the ship and, in part, felt relief once they answered. "This is Raven, Teen Titans. You wish permission to enter the Tower?" she asked.

"Yes, we found Robin and want him to recover here," Aqualad answered. In the background they could hear Miss Martian shushing someone. "Recover?" Starfire repeated. Her voice spoke for all of their feelings. It was worried, shaking in somewhat fear and dread. "You have permission to land Young Justice. We will be with you shortly," Raven said. She cut off communication and looked to her team. "What has he done?" Starfire asked.

"I don't know but whatever it is, this team knows." They met the team on the roof as Aqualad carried out Robin. "Is he alright?" Cyborg inquired.

"He will be fine once we get him to a medical bay. May you show us?" He nodded and couldn't help but grimace at the sight of Robin. There were dark bruises and deep cuts patterning him. What would've happened if they never found where he went?

Once Robin was laid in a bed and checked over, the teams waited by his side. Tension was high between them. A weird tension they could only blame on the worry they had for the fifteen year old laying before them unresponsive and battered. "How could you let him go out alone?" Artemis asked finally. "He's only fifteen." They raised an eyebrow at the blonde who was now glaring at them. "We didn't know he left." Cyborg replied.

"You should've. If we hadn't been there, he could've died." That comment got under their skin.

"Robin can take care of himself." Beast Boy snapped back.

"All heroes can but back up is crucial." Aqualad retorted. "I presume you, being leader, would know that," he added, looking to Cyborg.

"Wrong hero buddy," he stated. The Young Justice team stared at him.

"Robin is our leader, a very good one at that," Starfire explained.

"Remember when he wanted to lead us?" Kid Flash reminisced.

"He was once on your team?" Starfire asked. He nodded and looked back to Robin.

"He was younger then and a lot smaller," he chuckled. There was silence.

"Was he always so stubborn?" Cyborg asked. They laughed.

"Yeah, but he knew when to stop. Take being leader for example. Rob wanted that position so bad and we had a fight on our first mission about who should lead. Then he stepped aside and let Aqualad lead. He's been leading ever since then," Kid Flash explained.

"But Robin is a great leader, how come you didn't let him lead?" Beast Boy asked.

"Because he was thirteen! Poor kid didn't know what the hell he was doing without Batman sometimes. He could follow orders but giving them was different."

"You seem to know a lot about Robin," Starfire muttered with a hint of jealousy.

"Of course! We saw him through fear gas, nightmares, fights with Batman and lots more," Miss Martian replied. "Well we've seen him through stuff as well," Beast Boy muttered. The jealousy was rife in the team. "Oh my god, you guys are jealous of us," Artemis laughed.

"No we're not!" they all exclaimed.

"You very clearly are," Superboy told them.

"We're not because he didn't leave our team," Raven countered. A nerve was struck. "What's that supposed to mean?" Artemis asked.

"It doesn't mean anything, Raven was just stating facts. He left your team." Beast Boy defended. "Now let's not get personal," Miss Martian said, desperately trying to calm everyone down.

"No let's. We found Robin with no back up and far away from Jump City. Maybe you should've taken care of your leader." Kid Flash spat.

"We've gone over this! He can look after himself!" Cyborg shouted.

"Oh yeah? Is that why he's laying in a bed after nearly being beaten to death!" Kid Flash shouted back.

A groan stopped the argument short. Robin had a hand to his head and his eyes darted between the groups. "What? Where am I?" he asked. Robin was confused as hell due to him blacking out in a completely different setting. "You're home Robin, we were so worried! Never do that again!" Starfire exclaimed, hugging him suddenly. He gasped in pain so she immediately let go. "Apologies."

"It's fine. So, how did I get here?" he asked.

"We brought you here after you passed out." Miss Martian answered.

"Oh."

Silence.

"Why were you in Happy Harbour?" Aqualad asked. Robin laughed sadly.

"I kinda missed you guys. It's been so long since I've seen you all and I thought if I got close enough to see the Mountain I'd sorta close that chapter."

"Aww you missed us," Artemis teased.

"Yeah yeah, believe it or not you were oddly endearing." This caused a laugh from his old team but a groan from his new team. "I'm guessing you didn't get on very well?" They shared glances then looked at Robin. It would probably hurt his feelings if they told him the truth. They couldn't risk that. "What? Of course not! We were just getting to know one another," Kid Flash lied with the others nodding. "You guys hate one another don't you?"

"Yes," they collectively sighed. He laughed, instantly regretting the jostling of his body.

"I thought you would without me there to calm you down." He smiled at them.

"Can we try again some time?" Miss Martian asked.

"That depends on whether you would let anyone else know where I am," Robin replied sort of joking but mostly serious. "Consider your location still a secret," Aqualad assured him.

"Thanks. Now get going, I'm sure the Teen Titans are wanting to rip me apart with questions," Robin said. The Young Justice team smiled at him and slowly walked out of the room, never wanting to leave Robin. "So which team do you like better?" Beast Boy asked. Robin groaned and slumped backwards. "Come on! You've got to prefer one!"
