I'm not lying, when EHMMBH ended, I used to keep a list on which serials took their time slot but then I lost track. But yeah I was very heartbroken when the show ended so I despised every serial that took its time slot.

Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (2011-2013) is about two Rishikesh-based orphan sisters, Jeevika and Maanvi, nurture diametrically opposite outlooks towards life. Their love for each other is so strong that they surpass every obstacle that comes their way. 

Now I am not going to lie, I hopped on the EHMMBH quite late. It was around about the murder scene of Swaminiji's son that I started watching, you know when Virat took the blame then soon bua got a heart attack and yeah we know what happens next....I hope you all do anyway. Spoiler alert - Jeevika shot Swaminiji's son.

The show then reaired in 2016 and now it is reairing as of coronavirus.

This show is how my mum managed to make me, her insomniac sleep-deprived child, sleep. She used to make my sister sleep in one room then she allowed me to go to her room and watch the recent episode of Ek Hazoorn Mein Meri Behna Hai. Mind you we recorded the show. So yeah, this was one of the shows my mum used to make me sleepy. This show is like the best show ever but then again it does have its sweet and salty parts.

The fact that this is properly the only show that hasn't really fucked up. It kept to the original plot which was sister love. Couple love was shown yes but sister love was what made the show a success really.

I love Virika's wedding, it was emotional and funny and just perfect. Virat-Dabbu-Manvi fighting over Viren's shows is the best!

It explored themes like infertility and cancer. 

I also loved the New Year Eve scene when Virat and Manvi snuck off to the Dhaba.'

THE FACT THAT IT HAD TO END!

Jeevika and Manvi's dad coming back....sorry it's a very confusing twist in the story.

Was Vidhi actually necessary? Like I didn't like her one bit. I really didn't. She had a husband, though yes he was abusive, and she still had a crush on Viren. 

I feel that there was more to Jeevika, like maybe her character should have been explored a bit more.

Why does no Indian bahu in general EVER HAVE A JOB?

What happened to Sweety? Like she suddenly disappeared from the story near the ending? Even my mum wondered where she went. 

I am still yet to figure out the logic behind how Jeevika got pregnant at the last episode when she was declared infertile.

Overall, EHMMBH is an amazing show and it's just that show you can watch with anyone and it does make you feel that yeah you should properly love your sister or brother or cousin. Also makes you wish that you were either Jeevika or Manvi. 

I would rate EHMMBH a 9/10.

I think there needs to be a season 2, like if they can't bring the original cast, then I like Mansi and Jhanvi's story.
