He didn't even register what happen before he was smacked by his own beloved wife. Her eyes were filled with regret and rage as she grabbed her children's hands.

"I'm taking Akane. You can tell your god damn regrets and reasons to your son." Ace snapped and ran to their room to pack her bags.

That brought him back. Lupin ran to the room and tried to open the door but it was locked. He banged, pushed, tried so much to open the door but nothing worked against the stubborn door.

"Milady! It was a mistake! I won't do it again!" He screamed behind the door and banged it with his fists.

"TELL THAT TO YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND CAUSE WE ARE DONE." Her angered cries sounded louder than he had ever heard before. He could hear the zip being closed and the door opened suddenly and harshly, causing Lupin to fall on his feet.

Ace's eyes were never like he had seen before. They were cold and broken like winter time. She didn't even spare a look and ran down the stairs, grabbing her daughter's hand again and stride out the door.

"Mummy, what did daddy do?" Akane asked, shivering and scared at her mother's obvious rage.

Ace realized her daughter was shivering and stopped. She spoke in a softer, more quiet tone. "You'll know when you're older."

Luciel on the other hand knew everything. He heard his father crying from upstairs and understood everything. He had rushed to pack everything his sister had even if his heart broke while doing it.

"Dad?" Luciel tried to touch his father but his hand was swatted away.

"Leave me alone Luciel."

A broken wine bottle can never be perfect again.

I stepped on a shard of glass today. I think it was from one of dad's alcohol bottles. A lot of women that aren't mum are coming lately. They give me a lot of gifts but I don't see mummy anymore. I miss mummy.

Kayano doesn't want to live in a sad family. She wishes for a happy family. Without family, nothing is worth it anymore. Goodbye mum and dad.

The police investigated inside a family's house. Apparently a girl had suicided there at around 1 pm. The mother and father are fighting over who to blame and no one is happy.

Aikawa screamed, alerting her brother who ran into their parents room, shocked to see who and what was happening.

Shuichi quickly called his dad. After the call, he returned back to the room to see Aikawa sitting outside the room, shivering and shaking profusely.

"Shh, it's going to be okay Aikawa." Shuichi rubbed his sister's head in a soothing manner, trying to calm both of their nerves down.

15 minutes later, their father outside the house.

"Shuichi! What happened?" Akai exclaimed and ran over to Aikawa who was shaking and Shuichi who was crying.

"Y-your room." Shuichi shuttered out. Akai frowned and brought the two inside again. He walked to his and Bold's room.

Cautiously, he was about to open the door but he realized it was already half open. He peeked inside and saw the terrifying scene that scarred the children.

Bold lied on the floor covered in blood. A knife was struck through her chest, positioned at where her heart was. The room was a complete mess showing struggle, also covered in signs of blood and evidence.

"Bold?" Akai ran over to his wife's body and desperately shook her. "Bold! Wake up! This! This isn't real! Wake up!"

Despite his shakes and words, she did not wake up. He couldn't revive her either since she didn't die just recently as the blood had dried up. She was completely still and her whole body was so so cold.

Why? Why her? They had just came back from a trip yesterday. Maybe if they didn't come back yesterday, would she still be alive? Could he see her smiling again.

His screams mixed in with Aikawa's and Shuichi's crying. Even when the police came, they were still crying.

From that day on, they changed. Akai became more violent and angered. Shuichi became more anti social. Aikawa has a trauma and phobia of blood now. Their family was never the same again.

All because of a damn tradition.
