Idk if this is possible, but It might be bc Kanans just dead, not a force ghost.... just go along with it.

   Her world went dark as she took her last breath. All she heard was sabines sobbing shouts. And then silence.

Hera Syndulla opened her eyes. She knew she was dead. But she didn't feel dead... she just felt... new?

"Hey there"

      The now translucent twi'lek looked  up and saw someone she was positive she was never going to see again. Until she remembered that she was dead, also. She haven't seen him in almost 8 years... 8 years had passed since he died... 8 years. She missed him so much. He was the love of her life, and she felt empty without him. And now she sees him, standing right in front of her, looking just as happy to see her as she is to see him. She "feels" her "heart" skip a breath of joy.

     She jumped up and wrapped Kanan Jarrus in a long awaited hug. Hera had never thought of the fact that she would see him again when she died. She let go.

     Hera then noticed something. He looked different. He had his short ponytail and goatee back, and wasn't blind. It had been so long since she saw him like that.

    "I'm not saying that I'm happy you died or anything, but I'm really happy you're here. I missed you so much Hera" Kanan hugged her, " I could see you, but I couldn't talk to you, or hug you, or kiss you"

Hera took the chance to kiss him on the lips.

"I missed you too, love" Hera smiled, breaking the kiss, "more then you'd ever believe."

"I'm never leaving you again" the former Jedi promised.
