As soon as I see Wendy, I rush over.

"Wendy! Have you seen-?" I ask.

"Have you seen Kenny?" She asks.

"Oh," I say.

"I assume not. You wouldn't ask me if you did," she says.

"Oh Godric," I say.

"I agree," she says.

She takes her books.

"But um... we could... you know... um... try to ask someone? Maybe the new dada teacher? He didn't seem concerned about Kenny not being anywhere today," Wendy says.

"Why am I so fucking stupid?" I ask.

"Because I'm smart and you don't need brains," Wendy says.

I laugh.

"True that," I say.

She laughs.

"Let's ask him then," she says.

We leave towards his class. Only Wendy has had him today so I can't wait to see how he's done his room.

"Here it is," Wendy says.

She knocks.

"Come in," comes from behind the door.

I open the door. The room is full of magazines about werewolves and alike. On his table, he has a note that looks like old old wizarding text. He must be advanced to understand it. Holy hell.

"Sir, we came to ask if you had heard about our friend Kenny McCormick. Blonde, blue eyes, Gryffindor," Wendy says.

"Oooh. The professors have sadly decided, with Kenny's consent, to keep that a secret. But he will come back soon enough, he has just decided to restrain from today. Sorry I'm not much help now," he says.

He has a really smooth voice...

"Kyle, Kyle Broflovski," I say.

"Oh? I've heard much of you," he says.

"Not in a bad way...right, professor?" I ask.

"Of course not! You're an intelligent boy, Kyle," he says.

"Oh... thank you. Kind of you to say that, Professor," I say.

"Sorry professor, we have to go," Wendy says.

She drags me away and closes the door.

"Before you start falling in love with our teacher, I'll remind you that he is probably three times your age," Wendy says.

"I was not! It's nice to hear a compliment sometimes," I say.

Wendy rolls her eyes.

"Whatever you say, man," Wendy says.

"Oh come on," I say.

"Hey. Since we're already together, wanna hang out?" Wendy asks.

"Sure," I say.

She and I start walking towards the grounds while talking.

"So you are Stan's best friend," Wendy says.

"I would presume you're going to take that title from me soon enough," I say.

"So would I," Wendy says.

"Is it not a bit weird Kenny didn't tell us about anything alike to not coming to class on the first day?" I ask.

"I mean yeah, I think so," Wendy says.

"But then again, we have no reason to doubt him," I say.

"Yeah. True that. Say. Do you ever feel like the world around you is sort of doing it's best to throw you into mysteries?" Wendy asks.

"Yeah. It all started with meeting Kenny. He... his heritage is a complete mystery to me. He is the child of a squib and a muggle with no magic whatsoever. But as we know, one of those hasn't been magical... ever," I say.

"Yeah. That is super weird," Wendy says.

"I know right. That lead to the dragon thing. I don't know, my life has been full on a mystery since.... since my granny died, I would say," I say.

"I like mystery but it feels weird. Why is everyone around us doing just fine and aren't having this bullshit while we are thrown into it all the fucking time," Wendy says.

"Yeah. I gotta say, it is rather weird. I mean, at least the dragon was a mystery known by huge amounts of people but we were the ones that solved it. Not someone older than us," I say.

"That is super weird, isn't it? But like, at the same time, I understand that it's actually okay. Didn't a lot of people feel like that?" Wendy asks.

"But they were all heroes," I say.

"What does that mean?" Wendy asks.

"I don't want to be a hero, I want to be a part of the society I live in and going off on some adventures might sound interesting but I am not feeling it. I want to learn something that changes the world, I don't want to be a hero. I want to be a help for the true hero of the story, I don't want to be a main character... but I'm afraid I am. I'm constantly afraid that this story is on me when it shouldn't be. I don't deserve it, I'm not somebody that will be a hero," I say.

"But if you are, you are one of the best. Not wanting to be something even while you could do it is a sign of the fact you deserve it than the rest," Wendy says.

"Thanks Wen. Just letting you know that you are hero material," I say.

"I'm an anti-hero, that's what I wanna be, that's what I'm gonna be. Ain't nobody saying I can't do it," Wendy says.

"You've got your heart in place, so, I think you have all the possibilities to be quite frankly the best anti-hero to walk this Earth, ever," I say.

She hugs me. I smile and hug her back.

"Sorry to disturb your sweet moment but we need you," the potions Professor tells us.

Both Wendy and I get with her as she goes straight towards the library.

"Stanley, I need you with us," Professor says.

"I didn't go into the forbidden forest, it was the other boy," Stan says.

"Come on," the professor says.

"Yes ma'am," Stan says.

He puts the books down and we all leave out towards the professors office.

"What did we do together?" Stan asks.

"I don't know," I answer.

"You're not worried about Kenny?" Wendy asks.

"I know he's coming tomorrow, poor guy," Stan says.

"What happened to him then?" I ask.

"Had some kind of a health issue, he's in the hospital wing," Stan says.
