TONE & STYLE

The visual style of Kidz & Bones is that of a post-apocalyptic Earth, a tribute to Blade Runner without its ever-falling rain - the grey of the skyscrapers leaving room for a Mad Max mustard horizon.

The Synth is characterised by a bright green environment, rivers and waterfalls, and its two suns. The Synthers live in harmony with nature, the Marble Academy is built under a huge tree and everything inside is made out of stone rather than wood.

Despite the end-of-the-world setup, the tone is light - funny in its dialogues.

The Kidz swear - they come from the suburbs of Melting Pot - they "talk the way they eat".

The milkshake of their diversity - Turkish, Italian, African, Ukrainian, Chinese, and Mexican - is the "raison d'être" of their strength and flexibility.

The tone is light, yes. And yes, funny. But scraping off the first crust of smile, we find important topics - the lack of respect for our one and only planet, discrimination and injustice, and the current issue of how to consciously manage AIs.
