This story starts when Yoriichi Tsugukuni decides to leave the Tsugikuni clan, right after their mother's death.
     He says his farewells to his brother: Michikatsu Tsugikuni and was about to leave. But then, something goes horribly wrong and his senses told him to stop going, which he did. He pulls the confused Michikatsu with him, to the outside of the door. And he was right, there has been something wrong. There are tons of people carrying weapons and both of them has never seen this situation before, but still Yoriichi pulls his brother along with the chaotic crowd. And they reach the end of the crowd, which is another one but even more chaotic. The atmosphere seems terrified and when the brothers manage to leak through the crowd to have a closer look, they immediately froze. Their father was murdered, if not to say brutally murdered. The whole body was really bloody and there seems to be bites everywhere. Confused and scared, Michikatsu slightly calls out for him, but there is no respond. He's dead. Yoriichi is also scared and confused, but he doesn't know what to do but sit down near their father's dead body. The crowd starts to mumble and whisper while Michikatsu lets out a sad and hopeless scream for losing both of their parents in such a short period of time.
    They returned home after a while, still trapped in sadness and suffering. Not being able to leave his brother alone in this situation, Yoriichi decides to stay with him and no longer wants to run away. Disappointed and lonely, they sit together till the sun rise.
    The very next day, no workers want to work for them anymore and they all quit. One of them bring the brothers a letter from their relatives, then leave. The letter says that due to their father's will, this house belongs to them and they're kicked out. Everything happens so fast the only thing they're able to bring along was some of their clothes, not even food.
     From now on, they are homeless and have to beg for food and shelter, since no one wants to hire 2 7-year-old kids instead of strong and healthy teenagers to work for them. Helpless, but Michikatsu never leaves Yoriichi behind. They are each other's only family member left, so he'll never abandon him for sure.
      It's easy at the first few weeks. People sympathize and most of the them will give the brothers some money or a small piece of food, or just a wet paper so they can wipe their faces. It can be difficult sometimes but at least they are together.
      As time passes by, the brother come to a village. It's not so big, but it has a feeling of safety and peacefulness. Trust it's cover, they walk in hoping to get a bit more than normal. Unpredictably, nobody is willing to give them even 1 Yen. Hopeless and slightly angry, they try to knock on the last door after many tries. The woman who opens the door looked carefully at both of the children and her eyes stopped at Yoriichi. She let out a sigh, and told them "If you need help that much, you should consider going to Miyo's place, dear. Her house is there, at the end of the village". Then she slam the door shut, leaving them confused and clueless.
