It was the time of the night, Sameer was sitting on the bed in his room and his back was resting on the pillows on the hardboard of the bed. Sameer was lost in thinking.

Flashback:

Sameer and Muskan were sitting in the cafe and Sameer were angry at Muskan's proposal before he react.

Muskan: pehle meri puri baat sun lo.

Sameer: Aur kya sunana hai, Muskan, han? Bacha kya hai? Shadi? Tum asa soch bhi kaise sakti ho? Pe...

Muskan: yeh ek contract marriage hogi.

Sameer stopped and he looked at Muskan with a frown on his face.

Sameer: kya?

Muskan: han. Hum six months ki contract marriage karenge.

Sameer: tum pagal ho...

Muskan: us ke bad main yahan se chali jaungi.

Sameer was shocked. He was already frustrated. Sameer squeezed his eyes and shook his head.

Sameer: tum kehna kya chahti ho mujhe kuch smajh nahi araha.

Muskan: main samjhati hun.

Sameer looked at Muskan.

Muskan: kal Priya ayi thi.

Sameer got angry.

Sameer: ab kya lene aai thi woh? Woh to...

Muskan: let me, finish, Sameer.

Sameer looked away.

Muskan: Priyu mujhe convince karne aai thi aur main janti thi ke woh ayegi isi liye maine pehle se hi sab soch liya tha. Main yahan se apna business abroad shift kar rahi hun.

Sameer was shocked.

Sameer: what?

Muskan nodded and sighed.

Sameer: aur tum yeh sab mujhe ab bata rahi ho.

Muskan: Sameer, main sure nahi thi kal hi maine decide kiya aur kal main busy bhi isi waja se thi.

Sameer: jab sab kuch decide kar hi liya hai to ab mujhe kyun bata rahi ho?

Muskan: kyun ke Dad ki property ko claim karne ke liye mujhe Shadi karni paregi isi liye to woh Abhay mere piche para hai.

Sameer looked down and tried to understand.

Muskan: hum six months ki contract marriage karenge. Six months lagenge sare process main. In six months main, mujhe dad ki property bhi mil jaegi aur business shift bhi ho jaega.

Sameer looked at her. Muskan thinks.

Muskan: aur mujhe Priya ko us Abhay ke changul se bhi to chorwana hai.

Muskan nodded and she looked at Sameer.

Muskan: main chahun to paison ka lalach de kar kisi se bhi shadi kar sakti hun lekin mere mind main ya yeh kahun ke mere mann main jo pehle naam aya woh tum the.

Sameer looked down.

Muskan: yeh sirf che mahine ki contract marriage hogi. Sirf che mahine. Aur tumhari mom ki bhi to condition hai ke tum shadi kar lo to yeh contract marriage hi best option hai. Tumhari mom bhi treatment karwane ke liye maan jaengi aur tumhe Maya ki jaga kisi aur ko deni bhi nahi paregi.

Sameer was keenly listening to her by looking down.

Muskan: aur phir che mahine baad tum azad ho jaoge aur, aur humari failed marriage ko dekh kar tumhari mom phir kabhi tumhe marriage ke liye force nahi karengi. You will be free forever.

Sameer looked at Muskan who was looking at him with hope. Sameer looked down. Sameer kept his fist on his lips and was in deep thought. Sameer sighed and he looked at Muskan.

Sameer: Mujhe ek din ka time do main soch kar batata hun tumhe.

Muskan was looking at him sadly but she nodded.

Muskan: ok.

Sameer got up and goes. Muskan was looking at him. Sameer was going.

Sameer was thinking. 

Flashback:

Sameer and Ambika were standing in the living area and it was the conversation before Muskan's coming into Sameer's life. The lights were dim.

Sameer: Mom, phir se wahi baat. Kitni baar kaha hai aap se ke mujhe dusri shadi nahi karni.

Ambika: Dekh beta, zindagi ka koi bharosa nahi hai. Aaj hum hain kal ko hum nahi rahenge. Zindagi akele nahi katati beta. Ek jeewan sathi ki zarorat parti hai jo har ache bure waqt main tere sath rahe yeh baat aaj teri samjh nahi aaegi lekin kal ko jab hum nahi rahen tab yeh akelapan tujhe mehsus hoga. Yeh tujhe jeene nahi dega.

Sameer was looking at her. He thinks and goes without saying anything towards the stairs. Ambika was looking at him.

Flashback ends.

Sameer was thinking that what should he do. Sameer sighed and he ran his hand in his hair. Sameer turned his face and he took the picture frame of Maya. Sameer's eyes were filled with tears.

Sameer: Mujhe kuch smajh nahi araha ke main kya karun? Main kaise kisi aur to tumhari jaga...

Sameer cried. Sameer heard the sound and looked up. He wiped his tears and kept the picture frame on the side table in hurry and it falls there on the side table because Sameer did not keep it properly. Sameer hurriedly goes. He saw the servants running. He stopped the one.

Sameer: kya howa?

Man: woh bhabhi ji ki tabiyat bigar gai hai.

Sameer was shocked.

On the other side, Muskan was sitting on the bed and was thinking about Sameer. She picked up her phone from the bed and looked at it. She thinks and dropped the idea to call him. She kept the phone back and sighed.

Muskan narrates: us din ek dar bhi tha aur kahin na kahin ek choti si umeed ki kiran bhi thi mann main. Che mahine ke liye hi sahi lekin main Sameer ki hone wali thi. Lekin agaye ka safar bhi kya dilchasp raha. Khata meetha. It was not less than a roller coaster ride.

Muskan smiled and thinks about that.

Present:

Muskan was thinking about Sameer, she ran her hand in her silky black hair and closed her eyes.

On the other side, Sameer came to Ambika's room and he stopped at the door. Ambika was panting because she did not have food and medicine.

Sameer: mom.

Ambika looked at him.

Ambika: Sameer.

Sameer came to her. Sameer sat beside her and caressed Ambika's hair.

Sameer: Mom, what happened?

Ambika sobbed because she was having problems with breathing.

Vijay: is ne subha se ek niwala tak nahi khaya.

Sameer was shocked while his face was turned slightly to Vijay. Sameer looked at Ambika.

Vijay: aur na hi dawai li hai.

Sameer: what? Mom, kya hai ye sab? What is this childish behaviour?

Ambika: maa... maa... apne, apne bach... che... ki (she sobbed because her breath broke and she took a deep breath) khu... khushi ke liye kuch... kuch bhi kar... sakti hai.

Sameer looked at her with teary eyes. Sameer thinks and shouts a little bit.

Sameer: Fine. Main aap ki baat manane ke liye tiyar hun.

Sameer said in a low voice: Main dusri shadi karne ke liye tiyari hun.

Ambika smiled.

Sameer: Khush.

Ambika smiled and the doctor came. Sameer saw the doctor.

Vijay: doctor.

Sameer got up and stood at a side. Vijay took Sameer outside.

The doctor checked Ambika and then the doctor with standing with Sameer and Vijay.

Doctor: dekhiye, in ka time se medicine lena bohat zarori hai. Agar ase hi chalta raha to in ki halat aur bigar sakti hai. Meri mane to ab aap ko treatment shuru karne main dair nahi karni chahiye.

Sameer thinks.

Doctor: main chalti hun.

Vijay: aaiye, doctor.

Vijay goes with the doctor. Sameer thinks.
