The fate!

"Anika, open the door, baby" Anusha cried her heart out when her daughter locked her inside the room. Last time when her daughter locked her room and cried, their family, their daughter's life, and their illusions that their daughter was living a great life parted apart. Since then, neither has she left her daughter alone nor become a reason for her tears. But today, because of her husband's decision, she faced this situation again.

"I don't want this..." Her daughter wept from inside. Her heart broke into pieces since her daughter was born, Anusha never let Anika cry longer, of course, she was punished for her mischief but could not hold up her anger for a long time, and eventually, she would be the first person to console her and love her. But now, seeing her daughter going through this, she felt helpless.

"Trust your mom, it will be alright, baby" Anusha tried to console her. "Please baby! Open the door for your mom's sake..." She cried. In a few seconds, the door was wide open, and Anika rushed to her mom's arms.

"I cannot go back to him, you know what happened, maa. Leave being happy, I will not be living my life peacefully, I cannot go back to him... Maa" She cried while hugging her. Mother's heart desperately wanted to say that she supports her daughter's decision but the reality hit her so hard, she decided to convince her daughter. Anusha broke the hug and held her daughter's face with her palms.

"Okay, I understand everything baby, but can you give me a minute for me to explain..." She asked her, Anika stopped protesting, and walked inside her room, Anusha witnessed the messy state of her room, she knew that would be the same state of her daughter's heart. She took a seat on the bed, and Anika lay on her lap as soon as she took the seat, whatever Anusha prepared in her heart became senseless when she could merely see her daughter's heartbroken state before her.

"You know maa what did you say when I got married to that person four years," Anika asked her.

"You said, he did some good deeds in his past life to get me as his wife, but what it turns out to be?" Anika said. Anusha was speechless.

"Don't say last time was different and this time is different." Anika stopped her.

"Because it is going to be the same person whom I did not want to take the name of that person. Whenever I heard his name accidentally, my every organ gets shivered. This is my state, mom. I am not ready for anything related to him." Anika said. But she did not get stopped right there.

"Maa... YOU ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING, I TRIED MAA. I tried to save this relationship. But nothing worked out because the person who was involved in it didn't want it. Did not want to spend his life with me," Anika said. Anusha got tears in her eyes, after witnessing everything with her own eyes. But she can't argue with her daughter.

"Okay, whatever you say is right, I accept it but think this way, Ani. If he didn't want you in his life, why didn't he sign the divorce papers till now, it has been four years, and people do have patience to some level? But he still waits for you. Waiting for you to say his side of the story, we are not telling you to get back to him, but give him a chance to explain, and meet him, after hearing him, if you still want a divorce, I promise, I will stay with you in your decisions." Anika's mom gave her hope, in a corner of her heart, she knew, Shivaay will mend her Anger like he mended their heart when they decided to meet regarding divorce.

Anika stayed silent.

"Anu... Tomorrow at the same time, if you say, you want the divorce, I promise, even if it costs fighting with your father and everyone, I will stay with you." Anusha said.

"Okay, Baby!" Anusha asked.

"Hmm" Anika responded.

"So, are you ready to meet him?" Anusha asked her.

"I guess so..." Anika responded. Anusha pecked her forehead.

"Shall I come with you?" Anusha asked.

"Your wish!" Anika responded.

"This fate, my baby! It's not like what we expect, anyone can come into our lives and creates a massive impact. Just hold on to it, it won't betray you, baby!" Anusha said while caressing her daughter's forehead.

It has been fifteen minutes, and Anusha stayed outside the restaurant where two of her children speaking about their future inside, Anusha listened to her husband's advice and didn't disturb them. Before she could think about anything, Anika rushed outside with a strong glare on her face, soon following her husband, Shivaay with paled face and puffed eyes walked patiently behind her. Anika's walk slowed down when she saw her mom, Anusha's eyes matched with her daughter and son-in-law.

"What happened?" Anusha's heartbeat was against her chest when she asked that question.

"Two months more, mom. After that, I will be free from every disturbance and every humiliation I faced till now." Anika informed and walked towards the car. Anusha couldn't understand anything, she felt disappointed when shivaay could convince her, how come he could accept his defeat?

"Two months... What she's saying?" Anusha questioned him.

"Good things take time, Mom, she didn't even look at my face, she will understand me in these two months, things that were unspoken last time should find a way to reach both of us." He said while taking a deep breath, Anusha could not be able to imagine that he was worse than this in these four years.

"Two months, why do you want to give her time?" Anusha asked her.

"In these two months, she's going to stay with me" Shivaay expressed with a slight smile on his face.

"You mean, she's going to stay with you" Anusha clarified.

"She said 'yes' only when I agreed to divorce her after that if nothing works between us," Shivaay said. Anusha didn't know where it will lead, but she had hope that everything will get fine and that both of her kids be happy and stay together forever.
