Gayoung told me one day how Dojung asked her what kind of friendship we had. She didn't seem to notice what the question meant for her. Why else would a boyfriend ask about a friendship with some other guy?

She had answered him truthfully.

Mark and I are best friends.

I've known him the longest.

I trust him the most.

He's important to me.

And I'll admit, I gotten a big head hearing all of that. But of course, that didn't sit well with Perfect Ji Dojung.

He approached me one time after school.

He threatened me to stop hanging out with Gayoung. To stop being friends with her. To stop everything that has to do with her.

To stop my feelings for her.

There was no point. She was with him, that she chose him instead of me.

I managed to punch his precious face and give him a bruise that lasted weeks.

So much for a pretty face.

... except Gayoung gave me the silent treatment after that happened. Apparently, Dojung managed to convince her I was the bad guy in the situation. That he had come up to me to attempt being friends and that I randomly clocked him.

It took fully a week for us to talk. Another week for us to be on okay terms.

That was the longest she had stayed angry with me.
