Komi's Residence...

The front doorbell was rung as the mother of the house came rushing toward the front door to open the door and see who it is.

Shuuka: Hello? Oh, hi M/n!

In front of the entrance of the house stood M/n and her son, Y/n.

M/n: Hello, Shuuka! How are you doing this lovely evening?

Shuuka: It been great! What brings you around this neighborhood? And who is this little handsome man~!

M/n: This is my son, Y/n! Say hello, Y/n.

Y/n: H-Hi.

M/n: I was wondering if my son and your daughter could have playdate together. I wanted to catch up with you for old times sake. It been a while since we last spoke together.

Shuuka: Sure, that sounds great to me! To be honest I was getting concerned for Komi since she still hasn't made friends her own age, yet. This could be a good chance for her to make one!

M/n: Wonderful to hear! You hear that, Y/n?

Y/n just nods his head as Shuuka let them inside.

Shuuka: Why don't you wait for me by the kitchen table, I'll make us some tea. I can take Y/n to meet Komi in her room.

M/n: Sure, Shuuka! Y/n, you be on your best behavior around Komi, ok.

Y/n: Ok, mom.

Shuuka then escorted Y/n towards the upstairs floor as knock on Komi's room.

Shuuka: Komi?

She then slowly opened the door to the room, where they see someone inside playing with a toy.

Shuuka: Someone is here to play with you~

When Y/n sees Komi for the first time, he couldn't help but blush after seeing her.

Y/n: *thought* She so cute!

Shuuka: Komi, I like you to meet, Y/n! He's the son a friend of mine. Why don't you say "hi", Y/n?

Y/n: H-Hi, Komi!

Komi: .....

However, Komi remained silence and just hugged her cat plushie close to her making Y/n feel confuse.

Y/n: Did I say something bad?

Shuuka: Oh no, dear! Komi is just shy that's all, you did nothing wrong.

Shuuka pulled him inside the room as she placed them in front of each other.

Shuuka: Komi, I'll be downstairs talking with a friend of mine. I like you to get along with Y/n in the meantime. I'm sure you two will become great friends if you get to know each other.

Shuuka then walk out of the room.

Shuuka: Now, you two get along alright~

She then closed the door behind her, leaving the two children by themselves. Y/n was getting nervous since he was alone with Komi and doesn't know what to say.

Y/n: S-So... do you like video games?

Komi: ....

Y/n: Ok... umm... manga?

Komi: ....

Y/n: *thought* Say something?! This is getting more awkward by the minute.

While Y/n is thinking to himself on what to say next, Komi grabbed the remote next to her and present it to Y/n.

Y/n: Huh? You want to watch cartoons.

Komi shakes her head letting him know.

Y/n: Ok then.

Grabbing the remote from her, he turns on the T.V. in the room.

Y/n: What do you want to watch?

Komi: ....

Y/n: You know... you have to have say something. It will make things much easier for the both of us.

Komi still remain silent and clench harder to the plushie. This made Y/n realize something about her.

Y/n: You can speak but it more like you're too nervous on saying anything out loud.

Komi shake her head giving Y/n the answer.

Y/n: Is it possible for you to whisper?

She shakes her head again.

Y/n: Ok then...

Y/n then sit next to her catch her by surprise as she makes this funny expression.

Komi: ?!?!?

Y/n: If you feel comfortable, you can whisper to me. If that ok with you?

Komi started calming down after hearing that, she was still a bit nervous but decided to whisper to him.

Komi: *whisper* I-I... like to watch... (favorite anime/n)...

Y/n smile to Komi.

Y/n: See? It wasn't that hard was it.

Komi nod her head in agreement.

Y/n: How about this Komi for now on, you can whisper to me whatever you want to say. How does that sound?

Komi eyes go wide as she shake her head excitedly.

Y/n: Great! Since we haven't properly introduced ourselves, my name Y/n L/n.

Komi: *whisper* H-Hi, Y/n. M-My name is Komi Shouko.

Y/n: Nice to meet you, Komi! I hope we can become great friends to one another.

Komi: *whisper* F-Friends...

Y/n: Yeah, that right!

This made Komi smile genuinely making Y/n astonished by her smile. He felt his heart skip a beat making him understand that he needs to protect this smile.

Y/n: *thought* She so precious!

The two of them then watch anime together for the whole day while getting to know each other in the meantime. As the two got to know one another, they started forming a connection that will soon blossom into something else in the future.

Later...

As the two old friends are enjoying their time together, M/n notice the time.

M/n: Has it already gotten that late already? I should get home and get dinner ready before my husband comes home.

Shuuka: Too bad~ I was starting to have fun but I should get dinner ready as well. I'm sure Komi is hungry by now after spending time with your son. Which reminds me, I'm wonder how they're doing right now?

M/n: Why don't we check on them?

M/n and Shuuka make their way upstairs towards Komi's room. Shuuka knocks on the door before slowly opening the door.

Shuuka: Komi? Y/n? *gasp*

M/n: What happened?

Shuuka open the door completely for M/n to see. And once she saw what made Shuuka gasp, she gasped as well at sight.

M/n /Shuuka: Kawaii!!!

In front of them, Komi and Y/n was sleeping together on the floor with Komi hugging Y/n's head and with him doing the same on hugging her back.

M/n: They look so cute together~!

Shuuka: Komi finally made a new friend!

M/n: I need to take a picture of this special moment!

Shuuka: Me too!

While the two mothers are taking picture of the sleeping children. In Y/n mind, all he can think about is keeping Komi safe and helping her make new friends. As he grown to care for Komi in just a short time.
