(your POV)

Today is being quite calm. Kazuma and the others went to work on a mission to purify water from a lake and they will be out all day. They asked me if I wanted to join the mission, but I told them that I would spend the day training. With threats like Pitou and Dullahan out there, I can't allow them to come back and not be ready to fight against them. Now I am in the forest, knocking down trees with kicks and fists to try to increase my physical strength. At the same time I was practicing with my haki to perfect it, but for now I can only master the reinforcement haki and some of the haki of vision. I know that if I train enough, I may be able to unlock the conqueror king's haki or even be able to predict a bit the future. But for now...

Me: Water smashing fist!

I started hitting a rock multiple times in a combo attack, reducing it to small pebbles. But I also hit those pebbles, turning them into dust. Apparently I managed to increase my speed a bit but I'm sure this is not enough. 

Me: Void quake tigger fist!

My fist had a small tornado around it and with that power I hit a big oak, splitting it in two. The upper part of the oak went flying through the air and slowly fell towards me.

Me: Demonic Leg!

My leg was completely covered with fire and with it I kicked the part of the oak that was falling towards me, turning the oak into ashes in a few moments.

Me: Will that be enough?

???: I don't think so.

I immediately turned around and became pale to see who was behind me. Pitou was sitting in one of the branches of the trees, she was looking at me like a cat to her prey... how ironic.

Pitou: You have potential, but you lack some power.

Me: What are you doing here?

Pitou: Nyahaha! I wanted to play with you a little! After seeing your fight against Fang, you left me wanting some private fun between you and me.

Sweat began to fall from my forehead. I have to fight against one of the demon king's general on my own, an enemy that was above Fang's level. If I want to have even a chance to win I have to fight with everything I have. I took a deep breath and began to focus all my senses on my opponent in the same way that my teacher told me. I slowly got into battle stance, ready to start the battle.

Pitou: Nya?

(no ones POV)

In an instant, you disappeared from the place at a high speed. Pitou's eyes became like those of a snake, attentively following the movements of her prey. Pitou crossed her arms at the same time she turned to the left, blocking a direct punch from you. The force of your punch sent Pitou flying. She went through several trees while being pushed by the force of your attack, but Pitou recovered and stopped her march back using her legs to propel herself from a tree in the distance towards you. Pitou tried to use her claw to stab your face, but you leaned back in time just to evade the fatal attack.

(y/n): Demonic Leg!

You threw a fire-covered kick at Pitou, but she had somehow disappeared before you could hit her.

(y/n): What?!

You felt something holding your other leg and you saw Pitou pulling your foot, she dragged you with her strength from the tree you were standing on and threw you to the ground. You fell on your back on the ground and cough a little blood by the force of the impact.

(y/n): Gah!

You tried to get up before it was too late, but it was too late.

(Dumb writer)

Pitou jumped out from the tree and landed on top you, she was holding the wrists of your hands, preventing you from getting up. You tried to get rid of her grip, but she turned out to be stronger than she seemed. She slowly began to close the distance between her and you. You started to fear for your life, but that fear turned into confusion when you felt something soft on your cheek. Pitou was kissing your cheek.

(y/n): W-What are you doing?! It's not like I'm complaining thou!

Pitou: Nyahaha! You're cute~

(y/n): *Blushing* C-Cute!

Pitou: Do you want to know something? After that attack with which you hit me, I should kill you since you are an obvious threat against the demon king.

(y/n): *Glup* B-But...

Pitou: *Wink* I'm on my vacation!

(y/n): YOU ARE THE WORST GENERAL EVER!

Pitou: Maybe you want to say the cutest general of ever?

(y/n): Whatever you say... Would you mind getting off of me? This is a little uncomfortable.

Pitou: What? You are not you going to tell me that you don't like having an hot girl on top of you?~

(y/n): *Blushing* I-I want to keep training!

(y/n)(mind): At least aqua gave me my space!

Pitou got off of you and she surprisingly helped you get up.

Pitou: Training? Huh?

Pitou put a hand on her chin in deep thought. For some reason, you did not like the look she had on her face. 

Pitou: I got it!

(y/n): Eh-

Pitou: I will help you with your training!

(y/n): Whoa whoa whoa! Wait a second! First you try to kill me and now you want to help me?

Pitou: Yep!

(y/n): Well, this is going to be the stupidest thing I've ever done, but alright! Help me with my training, Pitou!

Pitou: I'm gonna enjoy this~

Pitou and you got into battle stance, both ready to start the new training. Both you and Pitou jumped into the air throwing a kick against the other. Your attacks collided with each other, creating a shockwave that spread through most of the forest.

(Time skip)(you POV)

Me: Auch! Auch! Auch!

I never thought that a day of training could be so painful. Pitou really didn't hold back anything during our fight. Every part of my body hurts, even the tips of my toes. Now I was walking through the city, or rather limping because my right leg hurts a lot. Anyway, I'm going to the guild to meet with Kazuma and the others. I wonder how did it went for them in their mission? Suddenly, I started listening to a girl singing a sad song. I could swear that the voice of that girl was familiar to me. I followed the sound of the voice and my jaw almost hit the ground to see that the girl who was singing was Aqua locked in a cage. I went with the others while dragging my leg to find out what the hell happened. The others saw me and began to worry about seeing me covered in scratches and seeing that I was dragging my leg.

Kazuma: Dude! What happened to you?

Megumin: Are you okay, (y/n)?

Me: I'm fine, but what happened with Aqua?!

Kazuma: Is... a long story.

Me: What did you do, Kazuma?

Kazuma: I didn't do anything!

Me: *Sigh* Aqua, please get out of the cage.

Aqua: No. Inside this cage is my sanctuary. The outside world is scary, so I won't come out for a while.

Megumin: She's completely holed herself up in there.

Darkness: Yeah...

Kazuma: She's just like I used to be... Oh, nothing, never mind.

???: Lady goddess!

Out of nowhere, a knight appeared and broke the bars of the cage in which Aqua was with nothing but his bare hands.

Megumin: Seriously?

Knight: What are you doing in such a place, lady goddess?!

Darkness put a hand on the knight's shoulder and pulled him away from the cage.

Darkness: Don't touch my ally so freely. Who are you?

Aqua came out of the cage but she tripped and was about to fall to the ground, but I caught her before she could touch the ground and then I slowly put her on the ground. 

Aqua: Thanks (y/n)! So, what business do you have with a goddess such as myself?

...

Aqua: Who are you?

Kyouya: It's me, Mitsurugi Kyouya! The Mitsurugi Kyouya who received this cursed sword, Gram, from you and was reincarnated in this world! 

So he's a reincarnated like me and Kazuma? I don't like him already. But apparently Aqua didn't remember this guy because of the look on her face. That must have hurt for him...

Aqua: Oh! You are that guy! Sorry, I totally forgot! I've sent along many people, so it's inevitable that I'd forgot some! 

Kyouya: Y-Yeah... It's been a while, Aqua-sama. I have been working hard every day as your chosen hero. By the way... Why have you been locked up in a cage?

Me: I would like to know that too.

Kazuma: Well...

Mecha: The next chapter is going to be longer. I have many things to do and I would like to go as fast as possible, but my powers have limits. Until next time!
