I sighed, it had been two weeks since I had left abruptly from the Sencen home. I thought about what Ari had said to me, about taking a break, should I do it? I wondered. After all, these days, no much danger roamed around the city and I wasn't called back often to help out with missions. I looked at the ring on my hand, the only thing left of my parents when they left me on this very day on my 5th birthday. ~Flashback~ "Mommy, where are we? This place is filled with plants, and its attracting bugsss.

"5 year old me said, smacking my arms. My mom chuckled,"Why, we are on a camping trip my dear. Humans love to do that and we wanted to try it out. Look, your dad is there, setting up the tent, why don't you help him? We need more hands." 5 year old me nodded, and I sped off to help. "Daddy, I would like to help you!" My dad smiled warmly at me, I can't remember his face, but I still remember his kind and warm smile. "And I thought the birthday girl was supposed to sit back and relax, not help around. Well, seems like my little warrior has finally grown up."My dad chucked. 'Little Warrior ' was the term he called me since I was a baby. 

 "I'm not a baby anymore dad, I can help out!" My dad grinned at me again,"Mhm. So, as a big girl now, why don't you help me set up the food instead of the tent? I'm sure you can eat a bit while setting up." He winked at me and that earned a glare from mom. We unpacked for a few hours and after a while, everything was set, and my mouth watered at all the delicious food. "Tuck in!" My parents cheerily said as I dug into my food, wasting no time at all, and before long, my mouth was all covered with food. While eating, I hadn't noticed my dad carrying in a huge birthday cake, we celebrated my birthday because my parents loved doing what humans did. I gasped in surprise and clapped my hands in delight as my dad lit up the cake. "Happy birthday to you...Happy birthday to you.."My parents sang.

But my happiness was short-lived when suddenly, a loud boom rang out and black figures appeared in front of me. I screamed, my legs jelly and my mom picked me up and blasted a bunch of snow right at one of the black figures face. Too bad they had a Psionipath. The ice got blacked off and went shooting back right at us, my mom pulled me away and at the corner of my eye, I saw my dad shooting flames at the black figures, and the black figures stepped away. But they didn't stop. My mother whispered to me, "Go somewhere safe, we will fight them off."She then passed me a jade ring, a ring I saw she never took off, and said,"If I survive, return me this, if I don't do NOT take it off, no matter what." I trembled but nodded, speeding off and finally, I jumped into a dark cave. ~After 1 hour~ I had no idea how much time had passed, so I went out, and returned to the campsite. "Mom? Dad?"I said, as I crept out of the bushes. The black figures were gone, but that was not I was shocked to see. My parents. Pale and lifeless.
