Kris was driving the truck, since he was the only one of them that had experience driving really, with Ralsei in the passenger seat watching over him. Martha and Lancer were in the seats behind Kris and Ralsei, talking away about their favorite horror movies and such. Noelle and Susie were in the back of the truck, where you would store the stuff you need, and were just sitting down talking.

"I never had such a 'great' mom, I doubt I'd even call her a mom to be honest..." Susie told Noelle.

"Well you have m-- I mean us, now! And we won't let you down!" Noelle ensured. She placed her hands on Susie's and blushed lightly.

"I don't know...no one's liked me, and why would they? All I've done is just ruin everything." Susie felt slightly hopeless and lost, unaware of what Noelle was thinking. "First, I snap at Lancer. Then I get bit and become a liability. I'm just dragging you all down."

"That's not true! You were like my first only real friend! You were the only person who was there with me!" Noelle told her. She smiled a warm smile and hugged Susie. "I know the others are nice, but you were the only person who ever came up to me and asked how I felt!"

Susie fell silent and looked down at her hands, they started feeling a bit warmer just embracing Noelle. Noelle let go, and backed up, sitting down on her legs.

"How are you holding up? You've been so protective of me, yet you haven't seemed to care for yourself!"

 "I-I'm fine!"

"Usually whenever someone says that they really are not, though--"

"I'm just a bit shaken up after the explosion, and yeah...it was really scary," Noelle lied. She hid it well to the point were Susie didn't seem to expect anything. Good, she couldn't have her find out.

"What do you reckon the other's are doing?" Susie asked. Noelle got up and went to the front of their little-enclosed grey box. There was a small latch that needed to be pulled open to check up on the front. Noelle wrapped her fingers around the metal handle and pulled, then forced her eyes through the gap. She saw Lancer and Martha talking and cuddling. She closed the latch after she saw them kiss.

"Talking about if Deadpool would be a zombie." Noelle sighed and sat back down next to Susie, looking away from her.

 "Classic Lancer."

Noelle really didn't like talking about pop culture, if most couldn't notice, and preferred a more civil conversation with fewer references.

"It seems like Kris and Ralsei are getting along pretty well!" Noelle added. Susie cringed a bit and laughed, looking back in their direction.

"Those two lovebirds were meant to be, I tell you!"

"What do you think about gay people?" Noelle abruptly said. She covered her mouth when she realized what she had said. "Oh my god, that came out wrong."

"Well, they're not bad. There's a lot of nice gay people in this world, and remember Dillan and Marcus? Sweetest boys in the whole school," Susie answered. Noelle felt uncomfortable, because of the way she was talking she felt like she really didn't like them. Susie could tell this, and she knew she had messed up saying that as well. She couldn't leave Noelle disappointed, so...

  "I mean, I am gay."

Noelle's face lit up, as she looked up at Susie.

"Really?" and then she realized how fast she had reacted and how stupid that was. "I mean, I am too!"

Noelle mentally facepalmed herself for the comment, what was she thinking? She was screwing up! What if Susie thought she was weird? What if she gave the impression she liked another girl?

"Do you want me to tell you who mine is and you can tell me yours?"

Despite every cell in her body screaming at her not to do so, she couldn't help but override that choice and say yes. She had to find out if it was her, she just had to.

  "Alright...on the count of three?"

  "Yeah."

 "Three," Noelle started.

 "Two," Susie continued.

 "One," Noelle finished.

"I love you," Noelle quickly exclaimed.

"I love you," Susie also exclaimed.

They stared at each other with a bright, pink, blush across their faces, they loved each other? At least Noelle felt happy that Susie loved her, but now she didn't know what to do. She didn't know how to further the conversation or how to talk to her. Neither did Susie, who felt even more guilt-stricken for saying it out loud.

"Y-You have a crush on me?"

"I've had it since the first semester of high school, I just didn't know how to tell you..."

"I've had it since I saw you at the mall," Noelle told Susie. "Holy moly, I didn't think you loved me back!"

"I never felt this embarrassed my whole life..." Susie mumbled. Noelle scooched closer to Susie and looked down.

"W-Well, I guess there's a first for everything!"

"I guess there is," Susie said as a laugh escaped her throat. Now would be perfect for a kiss scene, but they really didn't know how to do it. They saw it in movies, books, it was practically labeled everywhere how to kiss. Yet, they were just frozen still.

"What do we do now?" Noelle asked, still flustered beyond belief.

"I don't know, really. Why don't we just--"

Noelle couldn't help herself, and she didn't even want to do it, it just happened. She came forward and her lips pressed against her's. It took her a second to finally retract from her. Susie and Noelle were silent, it looked like they were about to pass out from exhaustion.

"I...I...I don't," Susie began, trying to find the right words. She looked down at Noelle with a smile across her face. "I never felt anything like that in my whole life. And I've felt a lot of sh** through this rollercoaster of a zombie apocalypse."

"Did it...did it feel good?" Noelle asked. Susie nodded and rested her head against the wall of metal behind her.

"It felt amazing."

They glanced at each other again, smiling ear to ear, when Noelle jumped on top of Susie's body. She placed her lips gently on her's, as they began kissing. Eventually, it changed from kissing to making out. Lancer and Martha heard the commotion behind them and opened the latch on their side to check it out. There they saw Susie and Noelle kissing.

Martha and Lancer looked at each other, just barely holding in their comments. They shoved the latch closed and finally let their mouths open and talk.

"I told you! I knew she had a crush on her!"

"That is impossible! There was no denying the relationship she and Ralsei had!"

"HAH! You owe me 5 cents!"

Lancer whined, he really didn't want to get rid of his 5 cents. Still, he searched his pocket and took out 5 pennies.

"Here you go," Lancer said reluctantly. He dropped the cents into Martha's lap, in which Martha scrambled and quickly put them into her pocket.

"Score!" Martha exclaimed, raising her hand into the sky triumphantly. Lancer sighed and looked out the window on the other side. He noticed as the truck went down the road, he could see what looked to be a sport's shop.

"Hey, guys?" Lancer went up to the front of the truck and tapped on Kris's shoulder. Kris looked over at him in confusion. "I saw a sport's shop over there, could we check it out for any weapons?"

"Sure, I guess," Kris answered. He stopped the truck, then moved the gearstick back. The truck began moving backward and then stopped once at the Sport's store.

"Alright, we have a few minutes. You two go and take a look," Kris instructed. Lancer and Martha opened the side door and jumped out of the truck, running to the store and looking around for any zombies. Kris and Ralsei jumped out of the truck and headed to the back to check up on Susie and Noelle.

"They've been pretty silent the whole ride. You think they're ok?" Ralsei asked.

"It's not like there's a zombie in the back," Kris answered, sighing as he came to the backside and began unlocking the doors. "Plus, Lancer and Martha would have heard something, they were right there."

Ralsei grabbed the left side of the door, while Kris grabbed the right. They both opened it up and shone their phone's flashlight inside.

"Alright lovebirds, come on out!" Kris and Ralsei froze, they saw Noelle and Susie still making out. They both turned to look at Kris and Ralsei with wide eyes.

"It's not what it looks like!" Noelle shrieked. Ralsei and Kris looked at each other, giggling like little toddlers.

"And to think that you made fun of me because I supposedly 'had a crush on Kris'," Ralsei said, giving a face that mocked them. "Look at you two now!"

"What do you want?" Susie hissed. She lightly pushed Noelle off her and got up, trying to keep her calm.

"We were stopping at a sport's store for supplies. Wanna come?" Kris asked.

"Sure!" Noelle got up and jumped out the truck, landing with both feet onto the concrete. "Come on, Susie!"

Susie sighed, getting up and slowly moving her broken body to the end of the truck and slowly jumping off.

"Alright, let's go."
