Saughandhi sighed as she adjusted the veil on her head.

She smiled as she felt the wind rustle and the cupboard opened and a box of jewelry flew out, she took it  and opened it.

She ran her fingertips through the jewelled rims.

It was a bracelet and ring of the first princess of dwarka .

She slipped it on her wrist and into her middle finger and she ran her fingertips on the diamond and emerald decorating it.

There was a knock on the door and she turned to the door to see her brothers standing there.

She smiled as she invited them in .

Dau, Kanha, Duryodhan and Karna entered the room with pandavas behind them but Sahadev was not with them.

"We are here to take you to the mandap" Kanha said .

"Well aren't you all the boys side of the family, why are you here? " Saughandhi said teasingly.

"First you are our sister then others and sahadev will come" Arjun said as everyone burst out laughing.

"Sure" Saughandhi replied smiling hard.

"You look beautiful, kanisth bhagini" Duryodhan said.

Saughandhi laughed as a light blush covered her cheeks.

She smiled as she walked towards the door with her brothers around her.

They walked towards the madap laughing and teasing each other.

They became quiet as they came near the mandap.

She looked up and her eyes connected with sahadevs who was walking towards them from the other side with the ladies gang surrounding him.

They both smiled at each other as they approached the mandap.

Sahadev forwarded his hand and Yuvani forwarded her hand to him.

Everyone whooped at this sight , cheering them as the couple laughed at their excitement.

Sahadev climbed up the stairs and turned to helped saughandhi who was struggling a bit with her heavy lehanga .

Sahadev chuckled as he saw right through her, he knew that she was purposefully doing that so that he would help her.

Yuvani smiled sheepishly. Sahadev held her waist and lifted her up and into the mandap.

They exchanged flower garlands and sat in front of the holy fire.

Soon it was time for kanyadaan.

Vasudev and Devaki went forward fand placed yuvani's hand in Sahadev's.

"I, Vasudev yadav, in the presence of nature and my family members give away my daughter Saughandhi to putra Sahadev" Vasudev said teary eyed

"I hence take all the responsibilities of your daughter" Sahadev replied clutching saughandhi's hand tightly.

When it was time for gathbandan Krishna, Subhadra and Dau came forward.

Gathbandhan symbolises the union of the bride and groom in a sacramental bond for the rest of their lives.

One end of the bride's garment (pallu or the saree) is tied to the traditional scarf worn by the groom along with a coin, a flower, whole turmeric, durva grass, some raw rice. Each of these ingredients has a specific meaning.

After tying the knot they kept their hand on their head and went back to their seat.

After that it was time for laja homa .

An oblation of parched rice (popcorn of paddy) to the sacrificial fire given by the bride and bridegroom in marriage.

Dau stood up to go for ritual but Saughandhi suddenly stood up and raised her hand and shouted
"STOP!".

Everyone was confused before they could start saying something Saughandhi showed her hand and stoped them.

Saughandhi turns towards towards Duryodhan and Karna and says "brathas aren't you both my brothers too?"

"Of course we are" Karna replies as they both stood up.

"Then won't you do this one ritual atleast on your sisters wedding? " Saughandhi questioned them.

"Of course we will , kanishth baghini" Duryodhan replied as they both walked towards the mandap.

Saughandhi smiled sitting down again.

After laja homa they stood up and did saptapadi and after saptapadi saughandhi stood on Sahadev's left side which showed her position as his wife.

It was time for Chudamani ritual.

Rukmini bought the chudamani on a tray while Revati bought sindoor on another tray to the mandap.

Sahadev made saughandhi sit as he made her wear the chudamani and filled her hair partition with sindoor.

Now she was officially his wife in all senses.

The wedding was completed.
