I feel very distant to the other countries. I do not know why, maybe it is just because I 'ave been working my head off nonstop and have not gotten a break.

It was very sweet, I admired Angleterre's attempts to cheer me up. He brought moi a shirt with a frog on it. It had some writing in English on it, but I cannot remember.

Mon dieu, my headache is killing me. My new boss, even if I do love him dearly, has given me overwhelming amounts of paperwork and things to complete by July. Which.. that means my birthday is approaching soon. I hope I finish it soon.

My little Matthieu's birthday is first. I 'ave been planning a surprise party for him with the help of Gilbert, Antonio, Arthur, and Alfred. It will be so great!

Next is Alfred's birthday. I admit, we are closer friends than we are related. Too bad he is too young to drink in his country, I would love to take him for a drink.  I think I was going to go with him and a few other friends to see Hamilton. I 'ave heard it is so good! I am so glad this... musical teaches the American people to appreciate their history (and or help, honhonhon) a little more.

Not that they didn't appreciate it in the first place, they just needed a gentle reminder.

Finally, it is my turn. Sacre bleu, I am such an old man. The English refer to it as "Bastille Day." We call this respectable memory, "La fête nationale." It is a wondrous celebration of our surge for independence and freedom, to have a nation of our own. I say this with so much pride, remembering all that had went down.

...I wonder if anyone is planning a celebration for my birthday when it comes around. My feelings will not be hurt if they do not.

I am... getting a bit emotional talking about this. I think I should probably take a break from writing and paperwork all together.

I am going to pop open that bottle of Ro-Rée wine I had gotten from Arthur. I... I could probably finish it all.

I need to go.
