these words are
compliments to her.
so she says.

she hates being normal,
yet strives to fit in.
she wants to be well known, yet is content in
the shadows.

and she sits and thinks over the names, her smile falls,
she no longer likes the words.
she changes.
so does her heart.
she finds the words foul, offensive,
she wants to be normal. - normal life,
normal friends.
but those words scream at her. so she tries harder.
she realizes she's not those words
"i'm fine the way i am."
she lies, of course.
