As Namjoon had promised, the next day, the two were out by four in the afternoon as soon as they woke up from their nap. With Seokjin using Namjoon as a pillow again, they got used to it, plus neither were complaining so it's all good.

"What flavour do you want?" Seokjin asked, seeing the convenience store in the distance. Namjoon thought for a while before settling with strawberry-- it made the older giggle slightly, saying 'strawberry for a big man.' Which made Namjoon pout and (not so) lightly push Jin to the side.

As soon as they made it inside to the store and to the cooler where they kept the ice creams, Seokjin whines childishly, tugging on the sleeves of Namjoon's brown jacket. "They don't have black velvet anymore!" He drags out the 'o', Namjoon finding it extremely cute as he resisted the urge to pinch the puffy cheeks and coo at the older.

"Let's just go to another store then." He answered, settling on just messing Seokjin's hair where he immediately got his hand swatted away. "You're getting more brutal with me, where did the sweet and cute Seokjin hyung go?"

Seokjin stuck his tongue out. "There wasn't any in the first place." He answers, both of them leaving the store.

"Lies. I know there was, and it's still there." Namjoon points to Jin's chest, then he laughed at his self. "I sound like something out of a fan fiction, sorry about that."

Seokjin pursed his lips, before smiling back almost immediately, but Namjoon noticed when he didn't want him to. He was staring at Jin when he did, but he let it slide and grabbed Seokjin's hand, dragging him towards a street that Seokjin himself haven't visited in a long time.

"!!" He tugged on Namjoon's hand that was laced with his, catching the mint's attention. "What is it hyung?"

"I suddenly don't want ice cream anymore..." He drawls out, voice slightly cracking, he caught Namjoon taking a quick glance towards the street before turning around.

"Alright, do you want to wait for me by the benches next street? I'll go buy you black velvet, just go and rest over there." He smiled and gently turns Seokjin over, giving the male a light push, he just stood there and continued smiling until Seokjin turned the corner.

Namjoon then started to walk towards the store, a noisy group of boys that looked like they were in high school was walking the way he came from. He didn't pay them any attention until he accidentally bumped shoulders with one of them when he was pushed. "!" The purple haired male laughs quietly before saying an apology to Namjoon. He bowed as he spoke, but when he looked at Namjoon in the eyes, he stopped speaking, his smile disappeared.

"Um... Are you okay?" Namjoon snapped his fingers in front of the boy, his friends who walked a few steps ahead of him, stopping but still quite noisy. The boy blinked and bowed once more. "Yes, I'm sorry for bumping into you again Jin hyung!" He waves and was about to turn away when Namjoon raised his eyebrow. "You know me?" He asked as he points to himself.

"Yeah!" The boy turned back again. "My dad and I are fans of your works! I'm Yoo Taeyang!" He introduces his self, and Namjoon's mind clicked. "Ah, are you Yoo Seungnyang ssi's son?" Taeyang happily nods. "Ah--"

"I was a bit sad that you rejected dad's offer to move companies since I really like your novels!" He pouts, making Namjoon smile at his adorable features. Right after Taeyang finished speaking, his friends called back to him. "Taeyang! We're going to leave you behind if you keep fanboying!" Red immediately crept up the boy's face, and he yells, flushed. "Shut it Seokwoo hyung!" He waves a final goodbye to Namjoon before running to catch up with his friends. "See you around Jin hyung!"

Namjoon waves, turning away immediately and entering the shop, airconditioning giving him goosebumps.

Or maybe because he just met Seungnyang's son.

Seokjin sat on the bench silently, fiddling with the zipper of his jacket. He dared not to look up at people who walked by, he just half enjoyed the breeze and half dozed off.

Come on, it's been almost two years, he should be able to move on from it by now...

After a set of loud high school students passed by him (someone shouting 'you don't know the joy of meeting your favourite novelist!' and someone laughing loudly), it returned to the earlier type of quiet. A few minutes later, he heard footsteps and the feeling in his gut told him to look up, hoping for it to be Namjoon.

So he did, he looked up, and he stared at the side profile of the man walking by. He blinked, he felt as if his body was rooted on the spot, form rigid as he just stared at the man as he passed by him.

The only thing he could do afterwards was to clutch of his favourite jacket, the sleeve bunched in his fist. He bit his lower lip to stop it from shaking, as he slowly muttered.

"He's still alive...?"
